as a loyal sushi-lover, i committed myself to visit all the sushi restaurants in town. inari kurucesme was another station in this journey. firstly the name needs to be explained because i founded it very interesting. according to wikipedia; inari is the japanese kami (divine) of foxes, of fertility, rice, tea and sake, of agriculture and industry, of general prosperity and worldly success, and one of the principal kami of shinto. so the name fits the place very well. i can say the same things for the internal ambiance.
we have started with shrimp tempura entangled with spicy garlic sauce. it was really delicious. since the sushi is the main goal, we have ordered only sushi after the starter. it was really difficult to choose from so many varieties and most of them are unique; in other words, so-called "signature" rolls. let me give you some examples. kirohana roll: fried shrimp, avacado, soybean paper, truffle mayo and potato chips (!) or gyu roll: grilled beef (!), asparagus, avacado, crispy leek (!)... you can blame me for being closed to innovative things but i have to say i didn't like this post-modern type of sushi. i think i can classify myself as a conservative sushi lover.
for people who likes to taste innovative sushi, this place is a must to visit. for others i don't recommend.
