had dinner on thursday night. we sat outside, the view is amazing and the weather happened to be perfect! we got 3 different sushi items to start as well as oysters. all were amazing! our entrees were just as good! nick waited on his and he was great, everything was perfect! thanks for the service and wonderful evening!

i really enjoyed my dinner. the seafood was very fresh and the service was good.

mediocre food; got order wrong, apathetic waiter. overpriced and too many good places to choose from to eat here again.

hush puppies. living in the south, i've eaten a lot of hush puppies. in comparison, these were great -- golden and crunchy on the outside without being greasy and dense and tasty on the inside with perfect seasoning. they came with a sweetened butter, but would have been great solo. they were the perfect simple appetizer as we sipped our frozen refreshments, waiting for dinner to arrive..

wonderful experience with the family. everyone was raving about their dishes. outdoor patio is the place to be in the summer, beautiful view of the water. also, the bread they bring to the table took the cake. fantastic! can't wait to return.

this is the best place on the island to eat in my humble opinion. get a seat on the patio and enjoy an awesome view of the ocean and some of the best seafood you will ever eat. we started with a few drinks and appetizers and then dinner. we did not want to stop eating even though we were stuffed. we had the fried clams to start. they were lightly breaded and cooked perfectly (not greasy at all). followed by the sashimi, each pice melted in your mouth, and then came dinner. i had a rice a rice bowl that said it had a wasabi sauce. i was looking a sauce that would have a little more wasabi kick to it but it ended up being slightly sweet. that was the only thing i was disappointed in the entire meal. my husband had the fried scallops. he said after dinner this was the only place he wanted to eat at all week but being a foodie i could never agree to that. lol. i wish i had listened to him. there are other seafood restaurants on the island but this by far is our favorite.

best of the best! the view is stunning and so is the food. this is a great spot to catch the sunset and have some drinks. the food is as fresh as it comes too.

the only thing going for this place is location. the view is nice (but not that nice), except for when it's interrupted by heavy machinery loading and unloading boats in and out of the water (a process that fascinated by 18 month old son, so that was good). the food was completely mediocre. yawn inducingly so. seriously... i could have gone to sleep waiting for the food, and probably could have slept through the food itself. and the drinks were... kinda tasteless. so, view? good. food? blah. service? sort of blah. out of the way location with better options nearby? definitely.

awesome ambiance! we had about a 20 minute wait but there were adirondack chairs near the bar where you could grab a drink and look out over the water, which was perfect! we enjoyed the live music, excellent drink selection and fresh seafood!!

great success story. ive been to the boat house 5-6 times and is normally very, very good. come for the reagee band on mondays..great time. service is trained and professional. a winner and a real success story for serg group. best of the serg group.

big box nightmare. took another chance at this location; turns out once again...that's all this place has going for it. too long of a wait, too long for the food to arrive. (i understand the attraction, but 2 hours to wait to sit then one and a half hours for the apps to come to the table? tragic.) food was mediocre at very best, server was overwhelmed, undertrained and overmatched to handle the section he had. manager never stopped by to address any of the issues we were experiencing. the owner/chef? couple of notes you might want to work on....the food wasn't hot, lacked flavor and got to the table so far after our arrival i felt like the experience was totally wasted. performance of the entire place was forgettable save for the nice people at the host stand. final result? never again.

the food is good...large menu...the atmosphere is fun. if you want a seat with water views...make a reservation. this was a great family joint!

good, not great. i had dinner tonight with my husband and two young children. the atmosphere is relaxed and family friendly. i liked that it felt like a popular hhi eatery. the location and views seemed nice but we weren't fortunate enough to be seated at a table with a water view. the parking lot was congested and flooded due to rain. the long walk to the restaurant was no big deal for us but might be a consideration if someone in your party has difficulty walking. our server was friendly. i ordered a seafood combo plate which included crab cakes, scallops and stuffed shrimp with rice and veggies. it was good but not memorable. the rice was heavily seasoned and didn't compliment the seafood at all. crab cakes and scallops were good. the stuffed shrimp was weird. the stuffing had an odd flavor and there was practically no shrimp meat. husband ordered a surf and turf with ny strip and shrimp. again, good but not great.

wait was 1 1/2 but it went by rather fast. lots of things to do while you wait and the view is amazing! food and service was awesome as well. ate there twice during our week stay at hilton head.

great, fun restaurant! we showed up at 7 with a party of 3, were told the wait would be 1 hour to 1.5 hrs. we only waited 34 minutes! beautiful atmosphere, amazing food! i loved the hush puppies. i got a cup of the scb soup and a huge spicy sushi roll. they were fantastic. my husband had the biggest alaskan king crab legs i have ever seen, and my mom got fried shrimp. the french fries weren't too great but everything else was so good it doesn't matter. i have been coming to hilton head island since i was about 10 (i am now 28) and this was our first time here. we will definitely be coming back!
