had dinner on thursday night. we sat outside, theviewis amazing and the weather happened to be perfect! we got 3 different sushi items to start as well as oysters. all were amazing! our entrees were just as good! nick waited on his and he was great, everything was perfect! thanks for the service and wonderful evening!

wonderful experience with the family. everyone was raving about their dishes. outdoor patio is the place to be in the summer, beautifulviewof the water. also, the bread they bring to the table took the cake. fantastic! can't wait to return.

this is the best place on the island to eat in my humble opinion. get a seat on the patio and enjoy an awesomeviewof the ocean and some of the best seafood you will ever eat. we started with a few drinks and appetizers and then dinner. we did not want to stop eating even though we were stuffed. we had the fried clams to start. they were lightly breaded and cooked perfectly (not greasy at all). followed by the sashimi, each pice melted in your mouth, and then came dinner. i had a rice a rice bowl that said it had a wasabi sauce. i was looking a sauce that would have a little more wasabi kick to it but it ended up being slightly sweet. that was the only thing i was disappointed in the entire meal. my husband had the fried scallops. he said after dinner this was the only place he wanted to eat at all week but being a foodie i could never agree to that. lol. i wish i had listened to him. there are other seafood restaurants on the island but this by far is our favorite.

best of the best! theviewis stunning and so is the food. this is a great spot to catch the sunset and have some drinks. the food is as fresh as it comes too.

the only thing going for this place is location. theviewis nice (but not that nice), except for when it's interrupted by heavy machinery loading and unloading boats in and out of the water (a process that fascinated by 18 month old son, so that was good). the food was completely mediocre. yawn inducingly so. seriously... i could have gone to sleep waiting for the food, and probably could have slept through the food itself. and the drinks were... kinda tasteless. so, view? good. food? blah. service? sort of blah. out of the way location with better options nearby? definitely.

wait was 1 1/2 but it went by rather fast. lots of things to do while you wait and theviewis amazing! food and service was awesome as well. ate there twice during our week stay at hilton head.

sunsets and waterside dining. the food worth raving about, but one should not overlook the magnificentviewand rich experience afforded any guest!

the evironment offers 1)front row seats to colorful sunsets (and the perfect deck lounge seating to relish them), 2) birds eyeviewof infamous fish tales and fresh catches coming off the docks (also served at the restaurant) and an experience of great service on the ground by hospitable sun kissed smiling staff!

theviewwas beautiful, so that it deserves a star. the food was salty and overpriced. i didn't think any of it was very good to be honest. since our party has certain allergies and dietary restrictions, we took the time to search the online weekend menu that is posted on the website. the food we could eat was not offered, and our waitress made no attempt to get what we asked for. she simply shrugged and said they were only available at lunch. my friend's salad came out wrong, not once but twice--covered in items that she is allergic to. she had carefully ordered the salad without the nuts or cheese. the guacamole and salsa were so salty, we couldn't finish it. honestly, there is a bunch of hype for this place and the online reviews were overall good. i wouldn't recommend it to anyone though, and i know that we won't be going back. there are just too many good place on hilton head to waste your money here.

a favorite. we have lived here for over 30 years and have visited the boathouse for many years. it's a fun place, great food and aviewto die for! enjoy the entertainment and the nice staff

great view, great vibe, food ok. we had an amazingviewof the intercoastal waters and boats while we sat underneath a tall tree that kept us in the shade. we kept getting hit by some berries from the tree, but it was no big deal, but we were right by the bar that had nice ocean vibe to it. our food was ok i guess. this place is definitely must go to because of the views. our apps were great but entrees alright for the price. we got the hush puppies, calamari and coconut shrimp. all three were amazing. my steamed shrimp was a little bland and my wife's friend shrimp was "eh, ok" i guess. definitely paying for the atmosphere and scenery than the entrees, but great apps.

good view, bad food. beautifulviewbut the food was over priced and frozen. definitely not local seafood. this is a great place to get a drink and watch the sunset but i would skip the dinner.

waterviewand cold beer were great! food was pretty awful for me... my chowder was ok but nothing special. the fried clams were extremely greasy and tasted of ...well... grease. fiancé was happy with his fish tacos. i'll try one more time and order something not fried only because of the great atmosphere and location.

fun happy hour with a sunset view. looking for a fun and scenic happy hour spot? skull creek has it all. delicious customized ceviche dish made with super fresh seafood. gumbo yaya also very tasty. good live entertainment and a beautifulviewof the sunset made for a very enjoyable evening. get there early, place fills up fast and long waits occur if you plan on staying for dinner.

for those of us who live here we have seen this restaurant go thru many ups and downs based on the ownership at the time. the location andvieware outstanding. many locals including those in the hospitality and charter fishing industry call this place home. we love it despite the many faults and are happy to call it a home away from home. however there comes a time when enough is enough. maybe it's the owners who are to blame or maybe it is the staff who are just burnt out from the overwhelming popularity of the place. no doubt about it, this is a hectic , busy , tough place to work . if the owners aren't treating the staff in the appropriate manner there is no way they will treat the customers as they should. i can only assume that is the cause of the horrible and sad service one receives at the outside bar these days. if you expect timely service, a correct final bill listing what you ordered, and actually receive what you ordered without being treated as a problem customer you may want to go elsewhere. if locals recieve such treatment , good luck to visitors.
me, i am in the process of finding a new hangout . i'm giving up the greatviewand easy location to my house . it won't be easy but i am up to the task. . i am looking forward to meeting new ,friendly bartenders who like their job and the customers who come by regularly . tasty food items will arrive when ordered and not just on the bill, and happy hour will be happy. i' ll let you know where i land. you may find you want to join me and new friends.
