hush puppies. living in the south, i've eaten a lot of hush puppies. in comparison, these weregreat-- golden and crunchy on the outside without being greasy and dense and tasty on the inside with perfect seasoning. they came with a sweetened butter, but would have beengreatsolo. they were the perfect simple appetizer as we sipped our frozen refreshments, waiting for dinner to arrive..

best of the best! the view is stunning and so is the food. this is agreatspot to catch the sunset and have some drinks. the food is as fresh as it comes too.

the food is good...large menu...the atmosphere is fun. if you want a seat with water views...make a reservation. this was agreatfamily joint!

great, fun restaurant! we showed up at 7 with a party of 3, were told the wait would be 1 hour to 1.5 hrs. we only waited 34 minutes! beautiful atmosphere, amazing food! i loved the hush puppies. i got a cup of the scb soup and a huge spicy sushi roll. they were fantastic. my husband had the biggest alaskan king crab legs i have ever seen, and my mom got fried shrimp. the french fries weren't toogreatbut everything else was so good it doesn't matter. i have been coming to hilton head island since i was about 10 (i am now 28) and this was our first time here. we will definitely be coming back!

sunsets and waterside dining. the food worth raving about, but one should not overlook the magnificent view and rich experience afforded any guest!

the evironment offers 1)front row seats to colorful sunsets (and the perfect deck lounge seating to relish them), 2) birds eye view of infamous fish tales and fresh catches coming off the docks (also served at the restaurant) and an experience ofgreatservice on the ground by hospitable sun kissed smiling staff!

great bloody mary! had the trash can lid filled with fruit e de mere ! oysters were so good! crab claws perfect!greatto share. top notch always busy tells the tale.... mange!

we loved the views, went early to avoid the rush and get early bird specials. must fans and trees kept outside surprisingly cool.greatfood.

anothergreattime!. we live nearby and enjoy dining on the deck overlooking the water. the boathouse has become one of our favorite dining venues. we've found the staff to always be polite, friendly, helpful, and efficient, and our most recent waiter, tim, was no exception. and (drum-roll, please) we've yet to have a less-than-great meal!

a favorite. we have lived here for over 30 years and have visited the boathouse for many years. it's a fun place,greatfood and a view to die for! enjoy the entertainment and the nice staff

waste of time. 1. this place is busier than any place on hhi. 2. they do not take reservations (much like many restaurants on hhi). 3. the food and service is "average" at best. when i say average...i mean like applebees average. there is nothing special or interesting about this place. i live less than 5 minutes away in hhp, and im stunned at how busy it is. because so many friends and family want to eat there, ive been in at least 20-30 times, and im baffled. never once have i left thinking..."wow, that was agreatdinner!" its a 4 out of 10

dang it's busy!. i so rather eat here in the winter than during the summer tourist season. food and service isgreat*(well, except for one visit sunday may 1st, 2011 where there were 12 empty tables at 8:30pm and the "manager" and hostess said "how many? 5? okay, it'll be an hour wait." wtf?! seriously?) but overall, this is agreatplace for food, atmosphere and a good time.

great view,greatvibe, food ok. we had an amazing view of the intercoastal waters and boats while we sat underneath a tall tree that kept us in the shade. we kept getting hit by some berries from the tree, but it was no big deal, but we were right by the bar that had nice ocean vibe to it. our food was ok i guess. this place is definitely must go to because of the views. our apps weregreatbut entrees alright for the price. we got the hush puppies, calamari and coconut shrimp. all three were amazing. my steamed shrimp was a little bland and my wife's friend shrimp was "eh, ok" i guess. definitely paying for the atmosphere and scenery than the entrees, butgreatapps.

good view, bad food. beautiful view but the food was over priced and frozen. definitely not local seafood. this is agreatplace to get a drink and watch the sunset but i would skip the dinner.
