wonderful experience with the family. everyone was raving about their dishes. outdoor patio is theplaceto be in the summer, beautiful view of the water. also, the bread they bring to the table took the cake. fantastic! can't wait to return.

this is the bestplaceon the island to eat in my humble opinion. get a seat on the patio and enjoy an awesome view of the ocean and some of the best seafood you will ever eat. we started with a few drinks and appetizers and then dinner. we did not want to stop eating even though we were stuffed. we had the fried clams to start. they were lightly breaded and cooked perfectly (not greasy at all). followed by the sashimi, each pice melted in your mouth, and then came dinner. i had a rice a rice bowl that said it had a wasabi sauce. i was looking a sauce that would have a little more wasabi kick to it but it ended up being slightly sweet. that was the only thing i was disappointed in the entire meal. my husband had the fried scallops. he said after dinner this was the onlyplacehe wanted to eat at all week but being a foodie i could never agree to that. lol. i wish i had listened to him. there are other seafood restaurants on the island but this by far is our favorite.

the only thing going for thisplaceis location. the view is nice (but not that nice), except for when it's interrupted by heavy machinery loading and unloading boats in and out of the water (a process that fascinated by 18 month old son, so that was good). the food was completely mediocre. yawn inducingly so. seriously... i could have gone to sleep waiting for the food, and probably could have slept through the food itself. and the drinks were... kinda tasteless. so, view? good. food? blah. service? sort of blah. out of the way location with better options nearby? definitely.

big box nightmare. took another chance at this location; turns out once again...that's all thisplacehas going for it. too long of a wait, too long for the food to arrive. (i understand the attraction, but 2 hours to wait to sit then one and a half hours for the apps to come to the table? tragic.) food was mediocre at very best, server was overwhelmed, undertrained and overmatched to handle the section he had. manager never stopped by to address any of the issues we were experiencing. the owner/chef? couple of notes you might want to work on....the food wasn't hot, lacked flavor and got to the table so far after our arrival i felt like the experience was totally wasted. performance of the entireplacewas forgettable save for the nice people at the host stand. final result? never again.

my favorite restaurant on hilton head. extensive menu. outdoor seating and bar. parking can be a problem at times. niceplacefor families with play areas.

easily one of the best spots i've been on hhi. everything was amazing! great food, great service! thisplacewill not disappoint! every kind of seafood you can think of!

very good seafoodplaceon the marina. had to wait about an hour before being seated but it was worth the wait. ample outdoor seating. crab cakes, shrimp, oysters, and soup were excellent. nice family environment and nice food in hilton head island.

the view was beautiful, so that it deserves a star. the food was salty and overpriced. i didn't think any of it was very good to be honest. since our party has certain allergies and dietary restrictions, we took the time to search the online weekend menu that is posted on the website. the food we could eat was not offered, and our waitress made no attempt to get what we asked for. she simply shrugged and said they were only available at lunch. my friend's salad came out wrong, not once but twice--covered in items that she is allergic to. she had carefully ordered the salad without the nuts or cheese. the guacamole and salsa were so salty, we couldn't finish it. honestly, there is a bunch of hype for thisplaceand the online reviews were overall good. i wouldn't recommend it to anyone though, and i know that we won't be going back. there are just too many goodplaceon hilton head to waste your money here.

what thisplacedoes well, it does very well. smart ordering would make thisplacea must visit because the fried shrimp was the best i'd ever had. we stopped here for an early dinner, and were seated right away. we had seen on the reviews about the long waits, and a visit around 5 was perfect. our appetizers were very good. the hush puppies were good, and the fried green tomatoes were amazing. we got a cobb salad, which was balanced and delicious with noticeably fresh ingredients. we also got the surf and turf with a new york strip and fried shrimp. the steak was ordered medium and came medium-well, and was as bland as could be. the sides were sub-par. we paid too much for what we got. if we had gotten all seafood, the price would've been high, but fine. so stick with seafood, and you'll get your money's worth.

waste of time. 1. thisplaceis busier than anyplaceon hhi. 2. they do not take reservations (much like many restaurants on hhi). 3. the food and service is "average" at best. when i say average...i mean like applebees average. there is nothing special or interesting about this place. i live less than 5 minutes away in hhp, and im stunned at how busy it is. because so many friends and family want to eat there, ive been in at least 20-30 times, and im baffled. never once have i left thinking..."wow, that was a great dinner!" its a 4 out of 10

dang it's busy!. i so rather eat here in the winter than during the summer tourist season. food and service is great *(well, except for one visit sunday may 1st, 2011 where there were 12 empty tables at 8:30pm and the "manager" and hostess said "how many? 5? okay, it'll be an hour wait." wtf?! seriously?) but overall, this is a greatplacefor food, atmosphere and a good time.

great view, great vibe, food ok. we had an amazing view of the intercoastal waters and boats while we sat underneath a tall tree that kept us in the shade. we kept getting hit by some berries from the tree, but it was no big deal, but we were right by the bar that had nice ocean vibe to it. our food was ok i guess. thisplaceis definitely must go to because of the views. our apps were great but entrees alright for the price. we got the hush puppies, calamari and coconut shrimp. all three were amazing. my steamed shrimp was a little bland and my wife's friend shrimp was "eh, ok" i guess. definitely paying for the atmosphere and scenery than the entrees, but great apps.

good view, bad food. beautiful view but the food was over priced and frozen. definitely not local seafood. this is a greatplaceto get a drink and watch the sunset but i would skip the dinner.

a looooooong wait but still great!. after reading reviews, we thought we'd give this one a try. upon arriving, we saw the big crowd but also so a lot of people leaving so we thought it wouldn't be too bad. 2 hours 20 minutes. yep! shocked, we thought we'd find somewhere else but upon checking, most were 45-1 hour waits. the weather was pleasant & there was an outdoor bar so we decided to stick it out & have a couple of drinks. since it was on the water, we had a lot to watch. it really did take about 2 hours to get seated and when we finally did, the service was excellent. our server was attentive, quick, polite, and very pleasant. our food arrived within a nice amount of time and it was delicious! we were afraid that, it being that late - we didn't sit down until 9:30 - that the food would be less than tasty. not so. truly enjoyed thisplace& would definitely go back - but probably a good bit earlier. oh - if you want to sit at the bar, that will really cut down on your wait time. clean & funplaceto eat!

great location and attmosphere. we've eaten here quite a few times and we've always had decent service and good food. if it was land locked, i would say it was a little over-priced. the real draw of theplaceis the patio and the water view.
