antico pizza

it was really cool watching the guys make the pizza.  you could see them from your seat.  they threw the dough up super-high in the air.  when you got your pizza, you didn't get forks or plates!  you had to eat off a napkin.  it was awesome!  the pizza was really good, too.  this place might be my all-time favorite if my parents could order something normal like cheese or pepperoni.

my love and i went last weekend and tried the margherita... the best pizza we ever had...period! not cheap, but it helps that you can bring your own drinks; after we ate we walked across the street for a scoop of gelato, a cannoli and cappuccino. delicious! we'll be back!

we generally do not like pizzas in the us. too much cheese for our liking and somehow it just doesn't gel with us. but going to antico was a revelation that we could expect great pizza here, we ate the veg one and would have preferred if the guy at the counter would have told us about the free toppings. we ended up paying for the free ones which were available at the cutlery counter. 
service was excellent and so were the people. 
the environment is fun, the crowd very appealing. 
highly recommended place!

great pizza, fun atmosphere

the place looks kind of like a warehouse. inside it is a lot more promising. you order at a rather chaotic counter. then you head into a large dining room where you sit at picnic tables in the same space as the cooks and their pizza ovens.

for a busy place, the pizza came amazingly quickly. we had the san gennaro which was delicious. wine and a variety of soft drinks are available. if you want dessert, they have a gelateria across the street.

simple and mighty good.

this has got to be some of the best pizza i have eaten. they import all the ingredients from italy and the seating inside is unique and gives you the feeling of being inside a pizza factory with italian music playing in the background. 
we ordered the pomodorini and diavolo pizza and both were absolutely amazing-- thin crust, flavourful with the right amount of ingredients. you can top it ff with the red chili and a sweet chili sauce that they offer as condiments on the side. plus you can bring your own alcohol, so it doesn't get any better.

by far the most authentic italian pizza that i've had in the southeast! even better, you can bring your own bottle of wine with your meal! will be back again for sure

take it from a guy who has spent 17 summers in italy. this is by far the most authentic italian pizza in atlanta. and possibly the us. you can enjoy your pizza in their back yard while listening to authentic italian cafe music drinking your very own bottle of chianti imported from tuscany.

the best pizza in the city... very exciting ambiance. i would def recommend this place to a friend. on top of everything it's a boyb restaurant. you can't order by the slice you have to order the whole pie tho.

i will never go back to anticos nor will i ever recommend this place to anyone. i have never been treated with such rudeness. yesterday was my birthday and my family of 6, including 2 grandchildren went there for supper. when they brought our calzone pizza, it looked like an overstuffed hot dog bun with ricotta. i asked what happened to their pizzas because we had eaten there often and the calzones never looked like that? the servers don’t speak much english so the owner came up and said that is a calzone if you don’t want it i will give you money back. i said i don’t want my money but i wanted a pizza like we were used to getting not a kid’s size pizza. he said here take your money and never come back. i asked are you the owner and he said yes. we left. the pizzas might be authentic from naples but the rudeness, mean and ungrateful attitude ruined my appetite for anything to do with that place. from now on frittis in inman park will get our business.

went to antico for the first time yesterday and was very pleased. the pizza lived up to the hype. very flavorful and definitely my type of pizza. we had the diavola and was delicious. i'm a crust girl so i look forward to eating the crust and it was very tasty and flavorful as well. the only unfavorable thing i would say is that the crust is so thin it kinda droops down when you pick it up. but that's a minor thing. pizza comes out super quick. we just a found a seat in the communal seating and our pizza was ready. lightning quick! it was sort of hard to hear the servers call out your number amongst the crowd and music in the background. love the pizza though! will definitely be back!

best pizza in atlanta just ahead of amazza and varuni napoli. it is a relaxed and lively atmosphere where you share tables with your fellow patrons. the option to byob is awesome. the best pizza in my opinon is the diavolo. spicy and meaty and overall perfect. best part is you can go next door and get the best italian roasted chicken next door at gios. can't recommend it enough.

the best pizza that i've had in my 6 years of living in atlanta......period! the service is a non factor since you only deal with the cashier when you order and the person who brings you the pizza when it's done. 
the prices are acceptable because the product is worth it. i'd pay more if i had to. the restaurant is clean and orderly but small. my only complaint is the communal seating. its ok during the week when its not as busy but during the weekend, it can be an issue. i've been 8 or 9 times and i'll continue to go.

bianca. delish! i wish the ricotta cheese was more spread out and consistent.
