rude and overpriced. but trendy!. i don't get it…?? antico's pizza was hardly the best pizza ever. it would have been ok but the grease running down my hand changed my mind. not to mention it was way overpriced. you can't make any changes to the menu and there is no room to sit. the staff was so rude it blew my mind. how can you be so nasty and still work in aserviceindustry? i tried antico's pizza because everyone is talking about it but i will never go there again. if you want to be trendy go antico…..if you want goodservicewith your over priced pizza …….don't.

we recently visited antico pizza after a suggestion from a friend of ours. while it is located in western atlanta near other restaurant hot spots, it is somewhat off the beaten path giving it a hole-in-the-wall, down-home feel from the outside. the menu is strictly pizza but not your stereotypical american varieties. their pizzas are all unique but delicious. our pizza, topped with mushrooms and artichokes, was out of this world. no alcohol is served, but it is byob, so i recommend stopping by the grocery store and picking up your favorite brew beforehand. you can watch from your rudimentary wooden table and seats as your pizza made, but make no mistake, this is not a dirty, low-class pizza joint. it has a great atmosphere complimented by classy italian music. theservicewas fast, polite, and seemed to really enjoy their work. i recommend getting there early as they close when they run out of dough. overall, we were extremely satisfied with our experience and will definitely be returning.

had the chance of eating at this little gem while visiting atlanta for some baseball games.  we visited the battery location which was just perfect!  we sat at the outside bar area because the weather was so perfect that day!  food andservicewas excellent!  we shared the napoletana pizza which was amazing!  we had never had broccoli on pizza before and it is definitely something that will be revisited because it was delicious!  great atmosphere also and we will definitely be back!

the best pizza that i've had in my 6 years of living in atlanta......period! theserviceis a non factor since you only deal with the cashier when you order and the person who brings you the pizza when it's done.
the prices are acceptable because the product is worth it. i'd pay more if i had to. the restaurant is clean and orderly but small. my only complaint is the communal seating. its ok during the week when its not as busy but during the weekend, it can be an issue. i've been 8 or 9 times and i'll continue to go.

poor customer service. second week open and already on his high horse - very disappointing, as we heard so much about this pizza, only to find out it was just- ok. osteria in virginia highlands - still leap years ahead. best crust - best pizza. sorry - di palma - maybe next time. try being a little more customerserviceoriented - that's what most owners practice.

service so rude it ruined the whole experience.sitting outside at little italia was nice but theserviceto order the pizza at antico was horrible and theserviceto order drinks at little itlaia was terrible. servers acted like they did not want to be there and i was wasting their time. food was okay but no different than digiorno pizza or at least fellini's pizza. not impressed.

food critics have no credibility. if this is what the food critics call a good pizza experience then someone is being paid off or i went to the wrong restaurant. my wife and i went to antico's about 1:00 last monday with high expectations based on several reviews including georgia traveler. we ordered the san gennaro, an italian sausage pizza for $21 and a 8 oz coke for $2.75. the staff was no help at all and was quite rude. no adds, changes or deletions are allowed, sort of like the soup nazi. the pizza arrived in only 5 min but was cold and soggy. i have had pizza in rome italy and this was not it. since they do not make pizzas to order this one must have been sitting around for a while. we wanted to tell someone so we could get it heated up but there is no wait staff at all and no customerserviceand they do not care. i guess this is what they call low urban trendy. i call it a really bad dining experience. i cannot say enough bad things about this place. do not go there....unless you like arrogant staff, bad atmosphere, loud mexican music, overpriced food, and cold soggy pizza. if only the pizza had been good you might overlook all the other short comings. as we were leaving we saw the owner leave in his new black mercedes. that says it all....boy were we taken. repeat....avoid this place.

i never ever say that, ever. if you feel entitled and need greatserviceget your butler to serve it to you in your own dinning room. this place is amazing worth at least $50 (really only about $20) a pie, while you won't spend that, i would. don't forget about dessert, i've had them all and beautiful

need a second visit. i was brought here by a friend for lunch out of convenience since it's right next to where i live, without hearing/reading about all the hype. i enjoyed the pizza and the unique settings and serving methods, as it was different than most, but i wouldn't say it's the best pizza in atlanta. i'm not a huge pizza fan either, so that might've affected my judgement, but just like the vortex, it just seems like people worship it for more than it's worth. theservicewas not great either... music was too loud and waitress/cashier was not helpful. the pizza are a little overprice too. i may return for a 2nd visit, but this wouldn't make my top 10 atlanta

i really liked the place at first, but the badservicethere is making me lose interest fast. there is never enough parking, and the novelty of dining inside the kitchen has worn off and i wish they had more seats. the cashier staff is rude and not helpful. the pizza is good but not good enough for me to put up with the lack of customerserviceattitude they have.

badserviceis turning people away. we have been several times, and it seems to just keep getting worse. we have decided it's not worth going there anymore. they just don't seem cut out for running a restaurant.

the staff is well known for being rude and unaccommodating. they could care less if you enjoy the food. the owner get's infuriated if you even politely express any concerns what so ever. we are very understanding and respectful people and got chewed out for just expressing polite concern that we have no where to eat our pizza. we never expect anything in return and simply thought the owner would want to know that the experience had left us disappointed. he only got agitated.

be prepared to wait and fight for a seat. there is no control and it is a free for all to find a seat. it is likely that you will be packed into a community table with people trying to squeeze in. if your pizza comes up before you find a seat you are out of luck. you will have to eat standing up.

think you will just get take out? be prepared to walk from a parking spot, wait in line for a while, and then they will start cooking your pizza as soon as you get to the register through a slow moving line. they claim you can call ahead, but they will not start your pizza until you have paid. then you must wait for the pizza to be cooked. calling ahead only reserves your dough.

don't ask for anything because they won't accommodate. just ask for an extra topping on your pizza if you don't believe me.

if all of the above is ok with you, the pizza is decent.

there are plenty of other great places to get pizza in atlanta that have greatserviceand better food. they are still relatively new, and sadly driving what could have been a fun place into the ground. disappointing is all i can say.

got a bite at antico pizza napoletana for lunch today. i write with mixed emotions about the restaurant. the pizza is clearly good. there is no denying that it is good. the calzone was probably the best calzone i have ever had. the ingredients are authentic, fresh, and delicious. the meats, sopressata and capicola, tasted like no other meat i have ever had on a pizza or calzone. the peppers were whole peppers which were perfectly sweet, tangy, and spicy all at the same time. the crust was flavorful and did not overpower the other ingredients. but, there's a catch. i don't think i will be heading back to antico pizza any time soon for reasons other than the food. an excellent dining experience consists of more than food. an excellent dining experience combines delicious food with qualityserviceand a price commensurate with the level of the food and service. anyone willing to pay an arm and a leg for poor quality food or horribleserviceis plain crazy. it just isn't rational to overpa
