underwhelmed. firstly, the marinara was very tasty. i also like the big blobs of melted mozzarella on top.

unfortunately, the crispy charredcrustthey advertised was charred, but far from crispy. the edges were nice and crunchy, but they rest of tehecrustwas greasy and soggy. the texture combined with bitter charred residue on the bottom made for an unpleasant slice of pizza.

there are very few toppings to choose from either. substitutions are not allowed, and neither is ordering ingredients on only half. you either have to take one of their few set pizza combinations as is, or order a la carte - which is pricey.

the pizza wasn't terrible, just disappointing - especially after i'd heard such good things.

favorite pizza ever. this was the best pizza i've ever had, hands down. thecrustand sauce were both amazing. my friend and i had the diavaola, and one pie was more than enough for both of us (3 people could enjoy 2-3 slices each). the flavors here taste so fresh and like nothing i've ever had on any pizza. and, it was on our table within 5 minutes at 12:30 on a weekday. the pistachio dessert i had wasn't that exciting, but that was the only low point of the meal. can't wait to go back and try the others.

amazing!! the environment, the food, the drinks, the whole thing was very memorable! i ordered the diavola pizza which had perfectcrustand was very spicy, the ingredients were so fresh and delicious. the cheese melted perfectly over everything. the ovens and the entire kitchen are in plain site from your seat. the layout of the joint was so different and interesting. you can bring your own wine but i ended up drinking an aranciata san pellegrino soda, so authentic. it was just a wonderful experience and meal, everyone must go!

went to antico for the first time yesterday and was very pleased. the pizza lived up to the hype. very flavorful and definitely my type of pizza. we had the diavola and was delicious. i'm acrustgirl so i look forward to eating thecrustand it was very tasty and flavorful as well. the only unfavorable thing i would say is that thecrustis so thin it kinda droops down when you pick it up. but that's a minor thing. pizza comes out super quick. we just a found a seat in the communal seating and our pizza was ready. lightning quick! it was sort of hard to hear the servers call out your number amongst the crowd and music in the background. love the pizza though! will definitely be back!

poor customer service. second week open and already on his high horse - very disappointing, as we heard so much about this pizza, only to find out it was just- ok. osteria in virginia highlands - still leap years ahead. bestcrust- best pizza. sorry - di palma - maybe next time. try being a little more customer service oriented - that's what most owners practice.

way overrated. first the positive. the cashier was friendly. i was surprised at how fast the pizza came out. very little waiting. now the bad. we ordered the margherita pizza with sausage. we felt they were stingy with their toppings. other pizza restaurants we have been to give you more sausage. thecrusttasted salty. the prices were too high. i don't see what the big deal is about this place. johnny's and marco's have pizza that tastes much better than this place. they give you more toppings for a cheaper price.

bad pizza. first timer and unfortunately last timer. heard so much about how good this place is, but alas mine came out with a completely burnt crust. i should have checked it before walking out, but it was really busy and i was in a hurry. tried to eat a slice since i'd just paid $25 for the pie, but the taste was so bitter from the char it stayed in my mouth for hours. yuck! i'd understand if it was a mistake, but thecrustwas burnt on top. they knew when they put it out there that it was burnt and still served it.

overhype!!. i've read a lot about this place as antico has become one of the local media darlings within the atlanta food scene. went here with my wife and one of my kids on a saturday arriving to a full parking lot at about 12:10 pm. after finding a spot, we walked into a packed full place. the place is quite small and it was certainly standing room only. it was clear we weren't going to get a seat, but since we were here we were all game on trying the pizza so we ordered one to go. i wanted to order a simple pepperoni and sausage (due to child's palate) but they refused without reason, only saying in soup nazi fashion "one meat per pizza!" - i assumed that perhaps they felt more than one meat might make the pizza too greasy. i'll buy that train of thought, but i don't know since i didn't get a clear answer from them. so i ordered a margherita with pepperoni, which they allowed me to do. pizza was a pricey $23. ordered 3 cokes as well - stay clear of these! it will set you back $2.75 each for a cute, little 8.5 oz bottle of coke. so we stood in a standing room only place, filled mainly with 20 somethings, whom likely for many were ready and willing to add antico to their already bulging credit card statements. our number is called quickly (it only takes 60 seconds for their pizzas to cook) and out the door we go, walking out with pizza raised above my head so that i could get out the door. at this point, we are still very optimistic about the pizza we are about to eat. opening the pizza box on the trunk of the car, standing up in the parking lot, we dive into the pizza. the pizza had good flavor, but not great flavor. the pepperoni (admittedly our choice) made it quite greasy. the pizza also could have been cooked another 15 seconds as thecrustwas just starting to tan. overall, i would give the following ratings: pizza flavor: average, experience: below average, prices/value: ridiculously high. it is always interesting to me how hype and trends blossom. i believe that many times people jump on board because they want to be with the latest trend and don't want to be on the outside looking in. but why convince yourself something is great when it really isn't? it's all about personal preference, but many people so often get caught up in hype (pet rock anyone?). and with most overhyped food establishments, like this one, i don't get it. and in the end, i don't care either. let those spend their money where they want. i'll continue to follow flavor and experience by voting with my wallet.

my sausage pizza comes out on some paper in a aluminum baking sheet. and it’s a really good looking pie, very circular with splotches of white mozzarella, lightly sauced and chunks of sausage on top. on and a couple of pieces of fresh basil, yum! i lift up thecrustand there’s some light charring on the bottom

burnt pizza. it was my families first time at antico's pizza last night, we were so excited to eat the best pizza in atlanta. until we got home with our take out box to find that the pizza was burnt to a crisp. couldn't enjoy the pizza one bit and forget trying to eat my favorite part, thecrustthat tasted like charcoal.. so disappointed, yes i ate it and so did my family. we don't believe in wasting food or money. but i honestly feel as if we got robbed for our $24 dollars. never will eat here again!!!!

best pizza i've had. i could gush, but i'll rein it in. this is easily better than wonderful italian pizza i have had... in italy! something about the crust... it's a crazy experience going to antico. good luck finding a place to sit! we waited in line for it to open and got seats in the kitchen which was great fun. no plates. everyone eats at long tables off of the aluminum trays the pizza goes on after coming out of the oven. the pizzas are big. there were 5 of us (2 guys & 3 girls) and we ordered 2 pizzas and had a couple slices left over. be sure and elbow your way to the condiment bar and get a cup of olive oil and add-ins to dip the deleciouscrustin. i would go back tonight. loved it.
