tiger fish. i went with a friend after a meeting, because of all the hype and had the worst pizza i have ever had. we couldn't believe why everyone thought it was so good. it was doughy and literally soup for sauce, that ran out all over the place. i have had the real thing in italy many times, and in many places. this didn't even come close. the people, who rave about thisplaceeither have never had the real thing or are easily duped by the hype. i will never go again, much less recommend it to anyone.

fantastic! one of atlanta's best. theplaceis a little house turned into a restaurant and you get to sit with in the same area where the cooks are. the big ceramic ovens add a lot of european flare to the amostphere. the pizza cooks extremely fast at 900 degrees. theplaceis small which is ok during weekdays but i can imagine in weekends it must be hard to find a seat. the pizza is out of this world and the cannolis are also superb. theplaceis just plain fun!. a couple of minor drawbacks. the pies are expensive compared to chain pizzas, come in only one size, and you can't pick the ingredients but the different combination of pies should have something for everyone. also the cute italian brunnete that took our orders is nice if you engage her in some conversation. go and check thisplaceout. you'll love this pizza!

what?! u kidding?!. i really don't understand what all the fuss is about concerning this place. the owner and staff don't know what they're doing...they can't even communicate because the staff is italian and the owner is american and doesn't speak italian (those he makes a ridiculous attempt, just to please the crowd - if there happen to be journalists present).several of the staff are rude, the music is atrociously loud, and the owner has a ridiculously huge ego that just won't quit. he thinks he's all-that and always prefaces any talk about his restaurant with "my multi-million dollar business". almost as if he needs to reassure himself that hisplaceis worth the hype (it isn't). plus, his son is always there (isn't that against the law?) and makes customers crazy. you can see on people's faces that they came for a pizza, and don't want the included entertainment by an 8-year who has a penchant for guns and bombs. oh, and i'm not really sure how this guy got his pizza-making certificate. watching him work the pies is like watching mickey mouse make pizza.

probably the best i have had in my life! casual ambiance with a short and crisp menu. love the huge brick oven in the center. i ordered the margherita with some pepperoni on top. hand stretched fresh dough , especially imported from italy, and then topped with the tomato sauce, basil leaves, garlic, pepperoni and mozzarella. loved the simple flavors and the texture of the base crisp from the outside and then nice and soft at the center was pretty amazing! when in atlanta thisplaceis a must must try!

it was really cool watching the guys make the pizza.  you could see them from your seat.  they threw the dough up super-high in the air.  when you got your pizza, you didn't get forks or plates!  you had to eat off a napkin.  it was awesome!  the pizza was really good, too.  thisplacemight be my all-time favorite if my parents could order something normal like cheese or pepperoni.

great pizza, fun atmosphere

theplacelooks kind of like a warehouse. inside it is a lot more promising. you order at a rather chaotic counter. then you head into a large dining room where you sit at picnic tables in the same space as the cooks and their pizza ovens.

for a busy place, the pizza came amazingly quickly. we had the san gennaro which was delicious. wine and a variety of soft drinks are available. if you want dessert, they have a gelateria across the street.

simple and mighty good.

i will never go back to anticos nor will i ever recommend thisplaceto anyone. i have never been treated with such rudeness. yesterday was my birthday and my family of 6, including 2 grandchildren went there for supper. when they brought our calzone pizza, it looked like an overstuffed hot dog bun with ricotta. i asked what happened to their pizzas because we had eaten there often and the calzones never looked like that? the servers don’t speak much english so the owner came up and said that is a calzone if you don’t want it i will give you money back. i said i don’t want my money but i wanted a pizza like we were used to getting not a kid’s size pizza. he said here take your money and never come back. i asked are you the owner and he said yes. we left. the pizzas might be authentic from naples but the rudeness, mean and ungrateful attitude ruined my appetite for anything to do with that place. from now on frittis in inman park will get our business.

great, authentic pizza!. i was born in naples, still have family in naples, and go back to visit every few years. this is the closest to the real neapolitan pizza that i've ever had in the usa. yes thisplacecan be chaotic but if you've ever been to naples, that is the culture. so, get over the fact that it's not your typical american pizza restaurant and just enjoy a really good pizza with ingredients you may never have tried if it wasn't for this place.

dont waste your time...far better pizza in atlanta. thisplaceis way overrated. went here with the hubby on a saturday night to try it out and had high hopes when we saw the number of people lined up to get in...so many people that there were no seats left in the 20 seat dinning room. we got to the counter and quickly discovered that you have to choose from the menu as they only make the pizzas their way and only one size - um ok- weird. we chose one, waited and out came this medium/small pizza that we had to take out and eat in the car as there were no seats left in the 20 seat dinning room. the pizza was just mediocre at best and certainly not worth the money spent on it. go to oz pizza or felini's pizza for a better dining experience and pie!

internationally acclaimed pizza in atlanta, ga?  yep...it exists.  italy's own festa della pizza, held annually in the birthplace of pizza near naples , recognized antico for its award-winning take on tradition earlier this fall, naming it as a top in class pizzeria.  recommended by one of ud's colleagues (who lives in the area), we all converged on this renowned palace of pizza on black friday.  speaking of black friday, if you don't like fighting crowds for bargains, i'm guessing you won't enjoy fighting crowds for the limited communal seating in the "dining" room of this establishment (more than a couple of brawls were narrowly aborted as diners jockeyed for spots at the indoor picnic tables almost before they were fully vacated by their occupants).  i haven't had the stamina for that since my college days, but i will admit that the pizza was exceptional and extremely reminiscent of what we enjoyed when touring the amalfi coast (just outside of naples) a couple of years ago.  that said, i got a sense that the pies were being rushed out of wood-fired ovens to meet the demands of the relentless queue of gaping maws, as the crusts were not as crispy as i expected, nor were the cheesy centers as warm. since we arrived about an hour before our dining companions and i was already famished, we ordered a couple of beverages at the counter (yes, youplaceyour order from the limited menu at a counter, you are given a number, and the food finds you when it's ready) along with what we thought would be a small snack to tide us over.  because it was barely noon (the overwhelming crush of humanity didn't arrive until after 1:00) we were able to nibble on the mastadoneon cheese calzone while perched on stools flanking a very narrow bar in the entry foyer of the pizzeria.  this monster was quite the rustic beast, with mozzarella, ricotta, and fresh basil oozing from its golden brown exterior.  marinara sauce for dipping was tangy and delish. once the rest of the gang showed up,

pleasantly surprised. i love my pizza, especially neapolitan pizza. originally, wanted to go to verrazano pizza, but didn't know they were closed for lunch so checked thisplaceout. happy i did, was impressed with the quality of true wood fired oven pizza. prices were a bit high but one pizza serves 2 or 3 people so it was ok. staff was reasonably polite and food served promptly. will go again
