way overrated. was anticipating the "best pizza in atlanta." paid $50 for a pizza and a calzone. over 50% of the pizza was dough (under cooked), and the calzone must have been 60-70% dough (under cooked) and very little ingredients inside. save your money and buy papa john's!

i really don't get the hype about this place, pizza its good but not the best you will ever have. im all about the experience and this place gets a 0 in that aspect. maybe if you are a college student or if maybe you just go get drunk and eat with a bunch of ppl and take a whole table or perhaps if you are a cool hipster that enjoys elbowing with strangers while having dinner... this place is not for everybody! maybe on a tuesday night when its not so packed but we went on a friday night and the bigger diner room was so packed and loud i couldn't even try to look for a seat it was so overwhelming. if your are more about the experience when dining out don't go here, unless u r looking for a hippie experience or carrying out.

these pizzas came at the perfect temperature but they ran cold quite soon, i thought. maybe it had do with the sizes.

not the ny pie i grew up eating....this is what you'd have in naples or other parts of italy. don't expect much in the service here and don't go on a friday/saturday evening....just too packed. back to the pizza - unbelievable. it's that good.

antico napoletana pizza dishes out tasty, authentic napoletani pies to atlanta, according to others. i have never gone to italy before, let alone eaten their pizzas, and thus cannot confirm that claim. however, i can tell you that these pizzas are seriously delicious and worth the money. fortunately, the high price, attributed to the fresh, italy-imported ingredients, keeps my desire to come here weekly in check. however, i think my wallet can handle my coming here once every two-three weeks, though. fast, hot, delicious, and fresh – if you haven’t visited this pizzeria yet, stop waiting for an invitation. drive over, order one, eat it, relish it – you’ll thank me.

i never ever say that, ever. if you feel entitled and need great service get your butler to serve it to you in your own dinning room. this place is amazing worth at least $50 (really only about $20) a pie, while you won't spend that, i would. don't forget about dessert, i've had them all and beautiful

not sure why this place is under the "bargain gem" category, there is nothing bargain about $22 for a pizza with just tomatoe sauce and cheese on it. the taste is 90% authentic, great dough and tomato sauce, the mozzarella is described as "mozzarella di buffala" but it is definately not. i've been to naples and had mozzarella buffala, and the taste is impeccable and unique, the mozzarella served on the pizza here is good and better than most for american standards, but they are fooling you with the claim of mozzarella di buffala. the byob aspect is very cool, and you will definately want it if you are stuck without a table and forced to stand and eat like i was. the place is very popular and always crowded, but it can be its downfall as there are not always enough places to sit, so you are forced to stand and eat or let your pizza get cold. seating is family style, aka seated at large tables next to strangers. all and all it was a good place to eat, just bothered by not being able to sit and high price, and misadvertizied menu. would recommend to others and it is certainly the best and most authentic italian pizza in town, but me and my girlfriend (who is from milan,it) were not overly impressed. but we're pizza snobs so, just go and judge for yourself.

wonderful. a friend of mine suggested trying out antico, and i'm glad i listened. ordered the bianca (white pizza) and it was delicious. it was huge, my fiance and i over-stuffed ourselves and still had a slice leftover. we tried the marinara dipping sauce, also delicious.
a cool atmosphere, but i could see how seating could be a problem .maybe that's more of a thing on the weekends, on a monday night, we didn't have a problem, although it was very crowded. however, our pizza came out in about 5 minutes. i was impressed on all levels, will be going back often!

great pizza (for those who are gainfully employed). 32 dollars for a pepperoni pizza and two cokes, not complaining just recounting. the pizza was great with soft dough that almost tasted like a pastry, but not overly dulcifying. the tomato sauce was zesty and the pepperoni abounded in the perfect amount of mozzarella. my only complaint was by the sixth piece (yes, i had the lion's share) the olive oil became palpably too generous. i enjoyed the industrial feel of the dining area juxtaposed to the freezer and wood ovens. everyone in atlanta should try it once and there will be plenty who return multiple times.

antico pizza napoletana offers true authentic italian pizza without the extra cost of flying out to italy to get one. it sits cozily at corner of hemphill avenue and ethel street close to georgia tech where finding a parking spot can become quite difficult around this area. what makes antico pizza different from the other pizzeria is that all of their ingredients come from italy itself. another added bonus about this place is that you can bring your own alcohol. this is a big plus for my fellow alcoholics.
