al maza

have great memories at al maza since i've been there on two special personal occasions. excellent dining experience, courteous staff and a fantastic menu offerings that you wish that to come and try every single one of them. unfortunetely during my experiences i was not a food fanatic to post reviews and give my opinion. but i'm really looking for the next experience at @almaza and hope to give a detailed review and i expect the restaurent to be top notch as i remember it to be in the past.

very tasty food specially the mutton items. breads items are also cooked properly..staff behaviour is good but they are little bit slow.. foods were very good.. i recommend this restaurant to visit

chicken 65 briyani is one the best tat i have ever had . it’s a must try here :) . this is one of the best place for sea foods as well. quantity is less but it’s worth it !

food : finest biryani in anna nagar......try it

ambience : peaceful family type ....

price : need to work on it .

very nice food and taste.. very good experience..
staff were very courteous and friendly.. we had a baby and they understood our needs and were helpful on that too.. creme of tomato soup is a must try dish.. cauliflower manchurian, chicken xacuti(chef special) were delicious.. quantity and taste is fairly good for biriyani.. i definitely liked the experience and recommend to others..

rather than food, with the charming interiors this hotel looks exquisite and extravagant. set ur mood to next level. but lack of staffing is d con should be considered. whn it comes to food they are specialised in kababz and biriyani. i ordered "achari murg tikka" which s spicy, "afghani murg " which is creamy. both were extraordinary. must try their kabas as well as biriyani.

this one of the best arabian restaurants, even though they are a little north indian kind. the biriyani was too good. also the arabian starters are a must try. highly recommended.

seeing the great reviews and ratings in zomato our foodie gang decided on this one for our treat! the exterior definitely is a put off and the interior was like any of the normal restaurants..this was unexpected as it had great pics on zomato..

aatukaal soup is wt v decided to try as the name itself was tempting enough! it was okayish and the flavour was not deep enough..

for starters , tried fish fingers and some chicken kebab..both were kinda bland and v have tasted better!

main course - tried their signature chicken dum briyani which was surprisingly bland and was kinda a variety rice.. the garlic naan and prawn pepper masala was a good match as suggested by the manager..but the game saver for us was the schezwan egg noodles which definitely was in par with any asian restaurant in town..

dessert - shahi tukda - a kinda bread pudding which was average and the chocolate ice cream was worth the try- delicious!!

overall definitely not happy with the quantity and the taste for the bucks v paid and it is a one time try restaurant for us!

one of the best non veg restaurants in chennai and yet my favourite was gajar ka halwa. beautifully cooked food with right amount of spices. biryani is one of a kind too. would definitely recommend this place to all. worth a visit

don’t get fooled by the name, as it is not a mediterranean/arabian cuisine-offering eatery. al maza is a typical north indian restaurant, and a pretty good one at that. we have been coming here on and off since 3-4 years now, and every experience was good. so for new year’s eve dinner we decided to come again.

food: 4/5 – we were given butter milk shots as welcome drink, and they gladly gave more on request. achari chicken tikka and coastal prawn were our starters.
both were spicy but yummy. their biriyani is very good, but sadly mutton and regular chicken biriyani got over very early it seems, owing to a lot of phone orders and take out orders earlier that evening. so we were left with chicken 65 biriyani and egg biriyani. tandoori roti and chicken xacuti (really spicy!) were also good. most of the spice was cooled off with the mildly sweet thandai drink. their rose milk is also a good option.

ambience: 5/5 – décor and furnishing look elegant. that and their lighting makes you feel like you are dining in a palace. they have ample seating place for various groups.

service: 4/5 – since it was new year’s eve, the place was packed. luckily, we had reserved a table. service was quick once the order was taken, but due to the increasing crowd getting them to take the order was a task. however, the manager and waiters were quick and efficient and handled the situation with ease. there is no valet parking. if the designated area is full, parking is pretty manageable in the vicinity, as the restaurant is located at a junction of a residential area.

overall, a great place with good food, and you would want to visit again.

it’s pretty good. the food was delicious and the place looked hygienic. we visited this place twice and at both times we were satisfied with the taste. the customer service is also good.

went for dinner with friends for the first time here on a sunday. a pretty chic place with nice ambience.

ordered;

murgh banjara - the meat was juicy and the flavor was well done (appreciate the marination involved behind the scenes) with the exception that it was medium cooked. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

bharwan mushroom - recommended by a friend. well cooked and particularly delicious with paneer, green pepper and potato stuffing. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

dragon shrimp - definitely the star of the show. the shrimp was very delicious and excellent. very much curious to find out the recipe. kudos and great job for the chef on this. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

station road chicken curry (with garlic naan) - the curry was based of coconut oil which made the rest of the added spices stale. the curry was bland for my taste. for a signature dish, i expected a little more. ⭐️⭐️

would definitely recommend this place to a friend and will visit in the future as well. well worth the trip just for the dragon shrimp.

been to this place for a third time , on a sunday night for dinner.
1. murgh banjara - ✌🏻was medium spiced and felt few pieces were not cooked perfectly.
2. bharwan mushroom - ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻 had potato+paneer stuffing in the mushroom and was yumm ..
3. dragon prawns - 😍😍 were yummm
4.garlic naan and butter roti ✌🏻✌🏻
5.station road chicken curry - 🙁 it was their signature dish and felt it was normal chicken curry that was cooked in coconut oil and nothing special ... was disappointed!
the last visit i really liked all their dishes and they also had pineapple sauce being served but this time they had not served it and when enquired they said they don’t serve that 🤷🏻‍♀️ .

poor service.. not a good experience, they not even have a mouth freshener, finger bowl... worst experience with waste of money.. the taste of mutton briyani and garlic naan is nice..

usually the quality of methi mutter malai would be great it's a special dish i order from al maza today it was very oily and missed the consistency
