a great place with wonderful ambience, great food and service. this was actually our first time at the restaurant. the locale itself was very quiet as it is in a residential area. weorderedprawns mehrusnnisa - very good and mutton kebab - exceptional. the service was prompt and the waiters were very pleasant. will visit again for more varieties!
and also very reasonable :)

i have been living around anna nagar for two decades! but i myself took some time to locate this place, since there is no big landmark nearby. i would suggest everyone to use google map! we a group of 15, visited this place and had pre booked the tables in advance with a request to put us all in one place. but we had to settle down in two different tables. we hadorderedalmost all the major dishes in the menu, but the egg curry and the platters( both sea food & non veg) were the best. their briyani which had so much hype, wasn't grand! their rates were comparatively cheaper than sea shell! everything was pleasant except for their service!

ambience is good. you will be welcomed with buttermilk shots. we started with murgh badami soup which is perfect taste of chicken and badam flavour in it, weorderedchicken murgh banjara, mutton seekh kebab and fish tandoori starters are also good which are served with pudina chutney and mayo. weorderedmutton biryani and fried rice which are decent taste. best part we ended with falooda which is really tasted very nice.

went here for a family dinner. the place was fully packed as it was new year day. weorderedseafood platter, mushroom masala, chicken kheema naan, butter naan and peas pulao. none of the dishes did justice to the quantity. kheema naan had very little kheema in it. loved the mushroom masala. the seafood platter had only fish and prawns. all the pieces of the fish just looked different in colour but tasted the same. so coming to the most annoying part, we had to complete our foor and wait for 30mins for the pulao. they should know how to control the crowd.

almaza is our default go-to place for a quiet lunch or dinner. set in a quiet corner in anna nagar, the place offers a good ambience and is an ideal spot for a family gathering. what i like about the place is how accommodating they are of their customer’s needs. many a times i haveorderedfood with special dietary needs (no salt, no oil etc) and each time they have delivered without hesitation. their prawn and mutton dishes are a must try. we always go back for zahir who is a friendly face and ensures that we are comfortable. courteous staff, hygienic setting and super yummy food. worth the money.

wanted to try this restaurant based on the hype it had and zomato rating . the ambience is very pleasing . neatly arranged with appropriate lights . also located in a calm residential place . menu is lengthy but all the items may not be available. depends on what they chose to prepare for the day.
i visited this place with loads of expectations . i justordereda chicken briyani and my review is gonna be just based on that . the briyani which came after a while, was in a closed bowl neatly covered -when opened had a good pleasant appetising aroma . but there ends the good part 🙂. i eagerly went for the first bite 🥄 🍴 . it wasn’t tasting even close to briyani . it was a hurrily cooked rice and gravies put together . the spices were very imbalanced . you might see a small chicken leg on the top of the bowl and that’s it for the meat portion for the entire briyani .service was ok or even below average for a dine out restaurant. i definitely din’t like the taste of the briyani and the curry . infact i wouldn’t tag that as briyani . the place had a few family getting together .. there were load of free tables even on a weekend . i would say more of a hangout spot rather than a dine out spot. do try other dishes if you happen to visit this restaurant and share your feedbacks cos am definitely not gonna visit again . 😋. as like many others, was deceived by the rating . happy eating !!

i hadorderedfor achari murg tikka but i received achari paneer tikka.

we accidently walked into this restaurant today after visiting nearest standard chartered bank. weorderedsea food platter and unexpectedly it is awesome. perfectly cooked with perfect spiciness. and the service is pretty decent.

iorderedchicken fried rice , it's taste was amazing , but the quantity is very low , it's not an valuable quantity for the cost of food. food was good.

i have been here the second time as it was all good wen i visited for the first time after their renovation mainly in the afternoon, tht time the food was all good fresh n hot. with same tot had been there around 9:30pm andorderedtwo starters and briyani- it wasn’t fresh or served hot. totally disappointed ☹️ totally. lost the good hope had on almaza and their muslim briyani..
service was not great at all, when complained about this issue they were not listening to the customer view and again a bad experience.

i visited this place for lunch on a saturday evening. we were given butter milk shots as a welcome drink. starters were awesome and good taste too... then come to the main course ..we haveorderedgarlic naan i was having high expectation. unfortunately, its too big and taste was average. but the curry was really nice to have......

this place never disappoints i would say . i have been ordering food from this place over a few years now and they make sure they maintain the quality .orderedthe following : chicken 65 biriyani - the taste has changed over the few years but it’s still good and would my favourite always( special mention to the rich brinjal gravy and raita which hasn’t changed at all) , paneer tikka masala - definitely yumm, veg fried rice - good . bit pricy to order frequently but worthy choice for special occasions . not to forget that the portions are pretty huge .

visited this place for lunch on a saturday morning. food was quite nice here apart from a few items like veg biryani. weorderedsome soups, tandoori starters, biryanis and curd rice. all of them tasted good. they give free buttermilk in small shot glasses which is cute. staff is very friendly and helpful too. prices are a little on the higher side though.

rather than food, with the charming interiors this hotel looks exquisite and extravagant. set ur mood to next level. but lack of staffing is d con should be considered. whn it comes to food they are specialised in kababz and biriyani. iordered"achari murg tikka" which s spicy, "afghani murg " which is creamy. both were extraordinary. must try their kabas as well as biriyani.

polite staff.. quiet ambience.. all the food that weorderedwere excellent, but of course, the chicken biryani was better than veg 😀
