went for lunch here. theambiencewas good. starters were nice and spicy but the main course dishes which were listed as very spicy (paneer mirchi) / (baby corn) turned out to be very bland and sweet. also all the dishes had too much salt in them.. also the pulao rice was very hard and not fully cooked.

the prices also were very high compared to the quantity / quality of food provided...

food,ambienceas well as the service was great. being a vegetarian, i was suggested to have the best from the menu by their staffs. north indian food was amazing. has become one of my favourites.

almaza is our default go-to place for a quiet lunch or dinner. set in a quiet corner in anna nagar, the place offers a goodambienceand is an ideal spot for a family gathering. what i like about the place is how accommodating they are of their customer’s needs. many a times i have ordered food with special dietary needs (no salt, no oil etc) and each time they have delivered without hesitation. their prawn and mutton dishes are a must try. we always go back for zahir who is a friendly face and ensures that we are comfortable. courteous staff, hygienic setting and super yummy food. worth the money.

wanted to try this restaurant based on the hype it had and zomato rating . theambienceis very pleasing . neatly arranged with appropriate lights . also located in a calm residential place . menu is lengthy but all the items may not be available. depends on what they chose to prepare for the day.
i visited this place with loads of expectations . i just ordered a chicken briyani and my review is gonna be just based on that . the briyani which came after a while, was in a closed bowl neatly covered -when opened had a good pleasant appetising aroma . but there ends the good part 🙂. i eagerly went for the first bite 🥄 🍴 . it wasn’t tasting even close to briyani . it was a hurrily cooked rice and gravies put together . the spices were very imbalanced . you might see a small chicken leg on the top of the bowl and that’s it for the meat portion for the entire briyani .service was ok or even below average for a dine out restaurant. i definitely din’t like the taste of the briyani and the curry . infact i wouldn’t tag that as briyani . the place had a few family getting together .. there were load of free tables even on a weekend . i would say more of a hangout spot rather than a dine out spot. do try other dishes if you happen to visit this restaurant and share your feedbacks cos am definitely not gonna visit again . 😋. as like many others, was deceived by the rating . happy eating !!

if you love to spend lavish on food, this place is worth to try for. i agree that their quality of food is good, but i am unsure whether it matches the cost of it.ambienceis not so great, with empty buffet bowls although they don't serve buffet.

firstly, the place was really good. restaurantambiencewas cool and new. lighting was relatively better, could've been more brighter.

speed of service: speed was okay. gravy took time to come. starters were extremely fast to reach. service on the whole was good as they were very fast in clearing the plates and the used utensils.

cost: the place is kinda costly. it costed us almost 2.2k for a family dinner of 4 people. seafood could've been more cheaper.

worth for cost: was okay for 2.2k. but still could've been more cheaper as the dishes were almost the same as normal-priced restaurants.

p.s- keep up the good work and prices can be reduced a bit as it is slightly overpriced. the taste was good enough for dinner. have to try lunch once. buffet options are available for lunch, everyone can def give a try :)

went to a birthday party in this restaurant which is situated in anna nagar east the street adjacent to porr and sons near roundtana. situated on the first floor, theambiencewas good and clean, has around 50+ seaters with visible kitchen, a growing kitchen trend nowadays.

the restaurant owner was courteous and guided us from the time entered till the time we exit. we are 20 in the count, butter milk and pappad was given as a compliment.

we started from soup,

 attukal soup - tasted average

tandoori pepper chicken- tasted great,

murg malai kebab- pieces of chicken marinated in cream sauce cooked in tandoor tasted excellent, the chicken was so soft and tender and melted in our mouth.

paneer –e-kas-sheek – cottage cheese kebab glazed with mozzarella cheese, cream & dry fruits with indian herbs cooked in tandoor, tasted average

rara ghost – mixture of minced mutton and mutton with rich & spicy gravy garnished with chopped egg, tasted great.

mutton/chicken dum biriyani- both the biriyani’s tasted good

apart from that butter roti, mutton chukka, peas pulao, chilly babycorn, egg noodles, schezwan egg noodles, vegetable biriyani’s were ordered.

for dessert, we ordered butter scotch, mango and chocolate ice cream.

shahi tukda- also known as double ka meetha is a sweet of lucknow, a muhalai bread pudding and is an ultimate winter dessert. small pieces of bread fried in ghee and topped with creamy rabri.

the bill came around 6500/- for 20 members.

overall almaza is a great place to have f o o d.

we were craving for some good briyani spot!! and al maza featured in brilliant briyani was our pick!!

been here about 4 years back ,,but still they keep up their standard in taste and service!!

theambienceis subtle, simple attractive and cozy too!! the wall decor made in golden hue was adorning!!loved the service which is prompt and impeccable ,, they were courteous and friendly!!kudos to the team!

we had a complimentary butter milk drink, with pappad and three dips which includes pineapple,mint and tomato sauce,, which was perfect to go with the pappad and appetizers!! butter milk gave a refreshing start:)

we started with murg malai kebab,, wow the best one i had ,, creamy, juicy and tender couldn't resist our selves, we guzzled in no time 😋 then came our tandoori,, was good , marinated and cooked with perfect blend of masalas!

their signature dish,briyani was good mildly spiced with long grains perfectly cooked in the masalas!! loved it!! but was missing in some flavours which i tried before 4 years!!!

they suggested ra ra murg with wheat paratha ,,it's kinda gravy made with minced chicken and scrambled egg and served with sliced egg,,perfect to go with paratha

dessert part we opted for shahi thukda ,,liked the bread which is cooked in ghee and soaked inside a malai base,, decilious and lip smacking!!

mini falooda, best one i have ever tasted with three layers of ice creams topped with nuts,,when u scoop out there comes the ice creams with nuts, fruits, and sweet sause ,,was lingering in my palate!! omg it was amazing and finger licking!!best way to end our meal!!

and thanq for greeting my kid and letting him a little venture into the kitchen with a complimentary scoop of chocolate ice creams!

al maza is one of the hidden gem for briyani, tucked away in the silent streets of anna nagar,, which will never disappoint you!!

its been almost 2 yrs since i visited this place last .one thing i must say is that they maintain a very good quality of food .service is undoubtedly great and ofcourseambiencesomething i love to get back for .good quality of food at afforable price is the biggest plus i would say .

while craving for biryani happened to come across this restaurant listed in brilliant biryanis and hence decided to visit here for lunch.

we reached here around 1pm and were promptly attended to by the staff. this restaurant is located in a really quiet neighborhood just a km away from anna clock tower circle, with ample parking around for cars. theambienceof the restaurant is relaxing and goes really well with their location. ideal for a quiet or formal friends/family get together.

as soon as we were seated we were given a complimentary welcome drink and papad. we ordered a chicken and mutton biryani along with a chilli mili murg kabab as suggested by the waiter.

both variations of the biryani were really good, this is more of a mild masala but packed with flavour type of biryani. the chicken and mutton were both succulent and packed with flavour.

the chilli mili murg kabab was nice and spicy with a good hint of herbs and went well with the biryani.

we also ordered a coastal prawns midway and it arrived promptly. it had a nice punch in the taste department and did justice for its price.

overall this is a restaurant i would visit again just for the biryani and the super friendly staff. all of the above costed ₹1187 for 2 people.

it's one of the best places to chill out with friends with a neat & calmambienceand the friendly welcoming staffs. it's quite expensive, but definitely worth a try.

almaza is famous for it's arabian dishes and so are their starters & kebabs. the achari paneer tikka & mutton sheekh kebab are must tries out here.

the paneer mirch masala is not worth a try guys.
there aren't any negatives in the non-veg platform.
