a great place with wonderful ambience, great food and service. this was actually our first time at the restaurant. the locale itself was very quiet as it is in a residential area. we ordered prawns mehrusnnisa - very good and mutton kebab - exceptional. theservicewas prompt and the waiters were very pleasant. will visit again for more varieties!
and also very reasonable :)

food, ambience as well as theservicewas great. being a vegetarian, i was suggested to have the best from the menu by their staffs. north indian food was amazing. has become one of my favourites.

went to this place around 1pm for lunch along with mom. we felt bit uneasy as around 20 men were there but after 10 minutes everyone left until we were done with lunch no other person came i wonder why is that.

anyway theservicewas pretty quick and interior is just usual. we got rara murg with steamed rice, murg banjara kebab, manchow chicken soup and chicken dum briyani parcel. i pretty much impressed with the quantity of curry, kebab was well marinated and taste good. soup taste is bland. briyani was okaykish nothing special in that.

they give buttermilk in shot glasses as complimentary. it's on first floor which caused us trouble as mother while climbing. slightly overpriced according to the taste.

foods were very pleasing to the taste buds and theservicewas excellent. overall had good experience. specially rara murgh, lasooni murgh and falooda were soooo good...

al maza is something which is been the unsung hero of anna nagar. they have the popular dishes of mughal and north indian cuisine and almost all dishes are perfect. but, space is an issue for group meal.

it's in the road that connects shenoy nagar part, behind titan showroom. parking is bit of a problem as there's no exclusive parking space for the restaurant.

the ambiance pretty much got the elegant and vibrant arabian decor. interestingly, the kitchen is behind glass partion and trust me, there's no gordan ramsay stuff going on.

we were welcomed with pineapple juice and pappad as complimentary and we went for the dishes. to start with the starters, we had the nonveg platter and seafood platter, they were tender and tasted great. the indian breads were good -butter, garlic, phulka, kashmiri, kheema. also had the tokri platter to taste the assortment varieties. the veg side dishes - bharwan mushroom and paneer mirch gravies were high on spices but complimented the mains pretty well. the anda curry stood alone with rich flavours clustered in own dish. the non veg sides were great - methi murg and rara murg. especially rara murgh is spicy but that's why it is favorited here. since, i heard the chicken biryani was the specialty here, i tried it but it didnt appeal me as it had lesser flavours. the veg variant had the same issue. finally we had the shahi thukda which brought us back to the good spirits.

theserviceis fair but since our group exceeded their normal customer seating count, they lagged the promptness and even missed taking note of one or two dishes we ordered. the pricing seems bit higher for its quantity but the food's sanguinity will make your try one.

what has happened to al maza ? it was one of the nicest place to eat with very goodservicebut it has become horrible now. the person taking the order is always on a phone call. he doesn’t attend us in time. he did not listen to any instruction that we gave about how we wanted our food. i asked for the food to be hot (which is a very small thing to ask) but no all the food was cold or just warm. theserviceis soooo poor. i had to ask for water glass, cutlery, tissues, each and every time, even plates. it has become soooo bad. i am too disappointed and don’t think will go there ever again.

we accidently walked into this restaurant today after visiting nearest standard chartered bank. we ordered sea food platter and unexpectedly it is awesome. perfectly cooked with perfect spiciness. and theserviceis pretty decent.

we went for lunch. we have tried different dishes everything was quite good in taste and satisfy our tummies too😉😝 .only disappoint thing is that theirservicewas too slow rather than that everything was fine❤️. ambinece is moderate. its place too have lunch on weekends or dinner.

don’t get fooled by the name, as it is not a mediterranean/arabian cuisine-offering eatery. al maza is a typical north indian restaurant, and a pretty good one at that. we have been coming here on and off since 3-4 years now, and every experience was good. so for new year’s eve dinner we decided to come again.

food: 4/5 – we were given butter milk shots as welcome drink, and they gladly gave more on request. achari chicken tikka and coastal prawn were our starters.
both were spicy but yummy. their biriyani is very good, but sadly mutton and regular chicken biriyani got over very early it seems, owing to a lot of phone orders and take out orders earlier that evening. so we were left with chicken 65 biriyani and egg biriyani. tandoori roti and chicken xacuti (really spicy!) were also good. most of the spice was cooled off with the mildly sweet thandai drink. their rose milk is also a good option.

ambience: 5/5 – décor and furnishing look elegant. that and their lighting makes you feel like you are dining in a palace. they have ample seating place for various groups.

service: 4/5 – since it was new year’s eve, the place was packed. luckily, we had reserved a table.servicewas quick once the order was taken, but due to the increasing crowd getting them to take the order was a task. however, the manager and waiters were quick and efficient and handled the situation with ease. there is no valet parking. if the designated area is full, parking is pretty manageable in the vicinity, as the restaurant is located at a junction of a residential area.

overall, a great place with good food, and you would want to visit again.

it’s pretty good. the food was delicious and the place looked hygienic. we visited this place twice and at both times we were satisfied with the taste. the customerserviceis also good.

this place is so awesome......the finest biriyani in the town and the starter are also so good......they welcomes with warm greetings and seated in the beautiful lovely silent ambiance with the live kitchen the place is so awesome andserviceis so good.......if you hesitate about the menu they explains how and eats in it.....the beautiful place located on the first floor with great service........the dessert shahi tukda i felt in love with that .....no words to say about that.....price is bit costly and biriyani quantity is little i felt they could increase the size for the money they get from us ....good place.

al-maza, the fine dining restaurant at anna nagar, ain’t no love like the love of a biriyani here, you may visit many time to this place but the quality and the taste always remains the same, though i am visiting this place often the taste remains the same as it was. not only for its biriyani all its menu. the fine dining remains the very fine dining. 😁😄. .

i went with my familg on sunday ... nice ambiance good staff quick and promptservice, we order bhatia ka murgh , chicken lolly pop, tara gosht , chicken biriyani , roti and faluda ... bhatia ka murgh was awsome, lolly pop and roti was not cooked properly , chicken biriyani was okay only i found less rice and more masala , tara vishnu was not up to the mark and top of it i found hair in rara gosht i showed that to the gentle man who attend . he just came to my table and he said this not hair and this is thread only .i was not convinced that the explanation which he had given, he didn't events apolagiesd for the same .
this is highly disappointment from almaza because they were not replaced my curry , even that is thread also it shouldn't come in the food that basic curtsey also the dont have i was quite surprised how can they have very lethargic when customer give some wrong things from food ....

came here for dinner. great ambience, excellent hospitality, delicious food. appreciate the customerserviceby mr. afsal. strongly recommend the place for good kebabs..

firstly, the place was really good. restaurant ambience was cool and new. lighting was relatively better, could've been more brighter.

speed of service: speed was okay. gravy took time to come. starters were extremely fast to reach.serviceon the whole was good as they were very fast in clearing the plates and the used utensils.

cost: the place is kinda costly. it costed us almost 2.2k for a family dinner of 4 people. seafood could've been more cheaper.

worth for cost: was okay for 2.2k. but still could've been more cheaper as the dishes were almost the same as normal-priced restaurants.

p.s- keep up the good work and prices can be reduced a bit as it is slightly overpriced. the taste was good enough for dinner. have to try lunch once. buffet options are available for lunch, everyone can def give a try :)
