the chimes east

starting not to like. when this place first opened i was here almost every week. the boudin was the best and the food was good for the money. now it seems like they don't care and the food is hit and miss. waitresses have slight attitudes and there is always 6-10 girls at a hostess booth who will finish their conversation before they help you. i'll be heading back to mike anderson's if it stays this way.

customer unfriendly manager. aside from the crazy 18% gratuity after 10 pm, the manager was not interested in keeping a repeat customer when he used an unfriendly tone and failed to make right a simple mishap. won't patronize this restaurant anymore.

the good was excellent, but the service was mediocre at best. i think everyone who worked there was fresh out of high-school. our waiter never filled our drinks, and came by only twice.

awesome atmosphere. great cheese fries. also had the amazing boudin omlette. that alone made it worth the trip.

completely unprepared for mother's day. the people at the front desk couldn't give estimated times, the restaurant had most of its tables setup for large parties and the inept management would not seat smaller parties...apparent the business of parties of 4 are not important to the business. very unprofessional, and the front desk folks were rude to top it off; spend your time and money elsewhere where the people actually want your business. this place is not worth it.

great!. love this place!! great food, fun bar!! a great place to have dinner and drinks. people are usually skeptical about new locations of classic restaurants such as the chime's, but this is a great way to enjoy the chime's food on the other side of town!

the management and staff has the worst attitude and very unprofessional!! i witness a racial act by a manager, which forced most african american to leave chimes on this particular day!!! the management put some african american couples on behalf of what the white person who started the commotion. other african american guest realized what the manager did, so they left!! the manager went back to the table and gave the white family a thumbs up!! plus, the wait was extremely long!!

great beer selection and the food was great. we will come here again!

"worst resturant experience ever" the staff was so rude and unprofessional to the point where my family left the facility! after waiting a whole hour and sum minutes for a seat! ... pure racist!

great beer selection & don't miss the crawfish mac & cheese!. great beer selection! the crawfish mac & cheese is sublime, and the duck & sausage gumbo is perfection. just don't order the gumbo to go, because you won't get the same portion as in the restaurant. great patio seating available, though it is often smoky. check out the specials, because there are often fish dishes not available on the regular menu.

horrible service & management. last night we celebrated my niece's high school graduation and her choice for dinner was the chimes east on coursey. we arrived at 8:30 pm and was told that we would be seated in 40 minutes. needless to say that there were other families celebrating graduations, so after 40 minutes, we were still waiting. no problem! as a family, we understood. finally after waiting patiently for two hours, buying drinks at the bar and socializing amongst ourselves, we were finally seated. however, they separated the families into two separate parties at separate tables. when asked why the families couldn't be seated together, the waitress stated that it was because they had to have two servers. we couldn't understand why we couldn't all be seated together and they still have two servers. quite simple, one server takes one side, and the other server takes the other. both parties tables were no more than 3 feet from each other, but they still refused to connect the tables. my sister spoke with the manager on duty and she refused to pull both tables together stating that policy was that they had to have two servers. that was the most ignorant excuse that i'd ever heard!!!! what was suppose to be a memorable and special night for my niece ended with her in tears, both her grandmothers along with other guests who had traveled over an hour away having to leave because of lack of seating!!! the manager nor servers showed no sympathy for having upset my niece. i just could not believe at 10:30 pm, my family was finally being seated and was being treated in such a manner!!! my advice to anyone who is recommending the chimes east as a venue for you and your family during any event, don't waste your time!!!!!! they treat you like crap, regardless of the time!!!!!! my money will never support this business!!!!!!!!

i placed a lengthy togo order, gave my name and phone number at 10:45 am and was told to pick it up at 11:15. i arrive at 11:15 to pick it up and they managed to "lose" the order and that they needed to re-enter it. they never thought to
call me & tell me they lost it. 1.5 hours after the order was placed, it was finally ready.
the manager refused to even take off one percent of the bill. he said his day was messed up too...as if that somehow would fix my
problem. the doctors office i was picking up for completely missed lunch, as it was 1.5 hours late, and being a drug rep...that can destroy a relationship. what happened to
the customer is always right? i don't care that his day was messed up...that has nothing
to do with me

do not eat here. i at here one night and i could not get anyone to serve me. the food is terrable. i would not recommend this place.

manager john is horribly rude, and ruined our experience. will not going back. we had to leave and go to willies- much better atmosphere because there are no john’s!

best chargrilled oysters in the area. they have a large selection of draft beer on tap. good food and great atmosphere. i eat in the bar area most times but have eaten in the restaurant area as well. both clean and good service.
