awesome atmosphere.greatcheese fries. also had the amazing boudin omlette. that alone made it worth the trip.

great!. love this place!!greatfood, fun bar!! agreatplace to have dinner and drinks. people are usually skeptical about new locations of classic restaurants such as the chime's, but this is agreatway to enjoy the chime's food on the other side of town!

great beer selection & don't miss the crawfish mac & cheese!.greatbeer selection! the crawfish mac & cheese is sublime, and the duck & sausage gumbo is perfection. just don't order the gumbo to go, because you won't get the same portion as in the restaurant.greatpatio seating available, though it is often smoky. check out the specials, because there are often fish dishes not available on the regular menu.

best chargrilled oysters in the area. they have a large selection of draft beer on tap. good food andgreatatmosphere. i eat in the bar area most times but have eaten in the restaurant area as well. both clean and good service.

i never realized that the chimes was open late. no excuses anymore for crappy fast food after work. having been to the original, i will say that the east location doesn’t miss a beat.greatservice, warm atmosphere and of course an excellent meal. i had the chicken alfredo with house salad. the salad is what you expect for a side item. alfredo was delicious and the chicken was moist and tender. not dry at all. really, it’s hard to mess up chicken alfredo, but it really hit the spot.

great, and while not as historic as the original, in some ways better.  always try to come to the chimes when in baton rouge, and the new location doesn't disappoint.  parking is much easier, and while it is decades newer than the original it still puts off the same atmosphere, but updated.

can't go wrong with anything, but always a fan of the po boy, and how can you not like a shrimp and grits appetizer.  while there are lots ofgreatplaces in baton rouge, this should always be on your short list of the places to go, haven't found anything here that you shouldn't order.

this chimes location is not quite the original, but they did a good job building a new place that holds some of the charm of the original. i love the big wood beam and other design elements that make it look old. the food isgreatand thus is a test place to bring out-of-town guests. the same owners run it as own parrain's, which explains a lot. good daily lunch specials. service is good.

great place. the chimes east (and chimes in general) is exactly what it sets out to be. it's a fun place with good food and a good price. the management and staff are really the best in town.
some of the complaints on here are ridiculous. yes it's loud. that's because everyone there is having agreattime. the food is incredibly consistent which is the sign of good management and a kitchen staff. the wait staff and bartenders are very attentive and nice without seeming fake.

oysters for lunch. i just had lunch there with my son. agreatexperience as per usual. the place was packed and yet, our bartender kept things moving for us the entire time and found time to even pleasantly chat while not sacrificing attending to others in the same area she covered. the oysters were fantastic,greattaste (i do not add anything to them when i eat them raw) andgreattexture and size.the beer was excellent and the glasses were vey clean and cold as requested. jessica, our bartender did agreatjob, i wish she was at all of those places that i frequent!! the restroom, you do use them if you drink plenty of beer, was spotless. always agreatexperience!!

sad. met with friends tonight at chimes east. seated quickly. had to wait for table service. waitress had difficulty getting our drink orders correctly. ordered my wife's favorite, the spinach artichoke dip. the chips were limp and had to be returned. we all ordered crawfish étouffée. waited for a while for hot crawfish (tasty) in very heavy flour.sauce. no salad, crackers, butter for the bread stick.
have loved the chimes on highland for our traditional christmas family get together. will not consider chimes east for lunch or dinner with friends in the future. too manygreatplaces to dine in br.
i will continue to read reviews re ur restaurant. hopefully u will read past reviews and take them as constructive. ur wait staff deserves smiles, not frowns.

horrible manager. we had agreatdeal of goof-ups with our order, seating arrangements, lack of menu items, and the children being brought the wrong food. my husband wanted to speak to the manager. she walked away from him in mid-sentence. i called her back and asked why. her response was that she didn't know what to say. i think as manager she should have know what to say. she trivialized everything as if it were no big deal. all that was lacking was an eye roll. we have eaten there often, with large parties, but never again. her lack of professionalism embarrassed our server as well. she found it hard to believe we were treated like that, and apologized for the managements behavior.

great food good waitress service but slow in the in the kitchen . we set at the bar and the waitressgreatbut the food come out kitchen was slow the waitress kept apologizing but could tell by where we seat it was the kitchen problem not her's

i already do not know how i feel about this restaurant anymore. first time i went there they had fabulous food and service, which was making me and my family keep on going back to this restaurant for special dinners. until the father's day in 2012 our food was not asgreatas it used to be, but we figured it might be the huge crowd they had. unfortunately this time the bad story kept going on. they changed their prices, and some of ways the dishes are served. for some reason the waitress cannot even fullfill any duty as a basic waitress.(unlike the past two were super professional). i do not know if there should be another try to this place.
