centrally located, on the second floor, bordering one of kadikoy's main squares, the ambiance is warm and surprisingly spacious with a noticeable lack of kitsch. i like that they have a balcony--perfect for watching and listening to street performances, or even just the typical afternoon crowds, at a relaxing distance. the espresso is excellent, and the freshly ground coffee prepared turkish style, in a traditional cezve, is very good; more nuanced than cups i've had elsewhere. the service is attentive, and if you ask the right questions you'll get a micro-education in specialty coffee.
*they don't serve traditional turkish cay, but they do have an assortment of loose herbal teas.
