a tiny coffee shop located in the middle of kadıköy çarşı, it is easily missed. look for the hanging sign and follow the instructions. you'll have to walk passed a .5m-squared sunglasses hut and up some stairs. at the top of the stairs, your mild confusion will totally be rewarded. the place is small, so if you are hoping to blend into an anonymous crowd, think again. there is a small balcony that we believe was made with the sole purpose of watching people hurry below. montag is a beautiful space, too. with a great mural against the back wall, it's a perfect place to catch up on some reading (they have a great magazine collection), meet a friend or just collect your thoughts. now the rest. the coffee is brilliant. so much so, that you can actually taste the difference between a latte and a cappuccino - there are too many places out there where the only difference between the two drinks is the vessel in which it is served. if you are like us and want to take advantage of the roasting operation, the staff behind the counter is well equipped to guide you through their different roasts and help you find something you would like.
