best meatball appetizer ever, you won't be sorry

well, the wine was good.... dining at two meatballs wasn't an entirely bad experience, after all they do pour a good glass of wine. my girlfriend and i did some searching for a place to enjoy italian food in fort myers, and decided on two meatballs. good reviews, decent menu, wine, can't be bad, right? upon walking in we found the ambiance of a train station and the service of the panhandlers that occupy it. pitiful. since when do independent restaurants try to emulate the look and feel of chains? it's the sort of place someone traveling alone on business would eat due to the proximity to the hotel. i ordered the steak marsala, medium rare. what they served me was an over cooked piece of bad sirloin, a few mushrooms that may or may not have sat in marsala sauce at one point during their life, no sauce to speak of, under cooked potatos, and sauteed vegetables that were stone cold. not warm, or spotty on how hot they all were, but flat out cold. around nine thirty, they began shutting the place down, although the website and the door said they close at eleven. after realizing we were being turfed out (the lights were turned on full strength and the chairs placed up on the tables), we paid the check, and asked the chef what time they usually shut their doors. he gave a smug reply of "nine maybe nine thirty" as he stood in front of the eleven o'clock closing sign. clearly our faults. won't go back.

the worst customer service experience ever!! dining with a party of 8, was asked immediately after eating our meal to leave because they had a reservation waiting for the table. no time for dessert or socializing. is that not why you dine out in a group is to socialize? will never see my money again.

great ambience, and our server andy was fantastic. my rigatoni tuscano was out of this world... i was tempted to lick my plate! appetizers were weak but cannolli cake was delicious.

the food was outstanding. went there for lunch. price was right and every part of the meal was amazing. recommend this restaurant to everyone

everything was as expected until we were sat at our table. normal wait time and we were comfortable while we waited on our table. then it was like they forgot we were there. we ordered drinks and then had to wait at least 20 minutes to have our server come back so we could order our food. meanwhile, as i'm looking around for our server i see a young man walking around the restraint like he was lost, he would gaze around the room and look important, i try to flag him over since i figured he must have worked there and all he ended up doing was giving me a blank stare. so after waiting for our server to comeback with our food (which was overcooked) and then asking for our check (which also took an additional 20 min, we left and asked to speak to a manager and were greeted by the young man who appeared lost. he showed very little concern and was also very dry. i would not recommend this restaurant to my worst enemy. it wasn't a horrible place it was just annoying and seemed more pike a chore than a relaxing evening with my date.

excellent dining, food, service, atmosphere. we have been looking for a good italian restaurant since moving here to cape coral and this is the place. chicken piccata another great choice.

superb italian restaurant. fabulous wait staff who were busy busy busy but never felt like we wanted for anything. food it huge! definitely share a plate of you are there for dinner. best italian we’ve ever had and a must to go eat.

we were seated quickly around noon for lunch. my son liked the meatballs and my pasta was ok. my husband ordered spaghetti and said the sauce tasted like it was out of a can. i thought the same thing when i tasted the garlic rolls with the sauce. service was fine.

the food.i order 2 items. one to dine in, meatball & spaghetti and a italian sub with soup to go.
i got the classic meatballs/spaghetti. it was the way my mother made spaghetti. the sauce was soaked into the pasta . that was delish..... i must say i was disappointed. i was expecting 2,two, meatballs in my pasta instead just 1 big one, almost the size of a grapefruit. it tasted fine and i needed to take half of it home. alas the name is two meatballs in the kitchen.
the sub and soup. 8 bucks...the soup was a italian kind. i thought it was a bit bland. it was thick, round pasta, tomato and other veggies. ....the sub was sub par too. too small, less than 4 inches , diced tomatos, not a lot of meat and the bread was wimpy. it was not a good italian bun.
service  was great.
food overall was good. but i waited 5 years to be blown away. i was just puffed like a 5 yo at a birthday party.

food is good but service is about the worst i have had. very noisy in the dining room. we have been there at none busy hours and enjoyed very much but don't go at peak hours.

always enjoy eating here, great food and friendly staff! have taken out of town guests here multiple times, they have all enjoyed it! mike a.

i completely agree with other people regarding the 0 rate!
i placed my order over the phone with the girl who was not professional or nice from the first minute our conversation started! once i arrived everything was packed up and she handed me a bag with everything in it. when i get home i noticed i'm missing a salad. i was not planning on going back for it but i did want a refund for what i paid for and was not given to me.
when i called she was completing offensive saying no man you left it here! really? i left it? no! you never gave it to me! regardless once i asked for a refund she said she can not do that and the owner was not around. i shouldn't of had to tell her what to do in that situation but i apparently did. i said if you can't do it then find someone who can. she said we're busy and we will just call you back later. i wasn't happy with the attitude she was giving me and had no trust that she would call back. i said no i'll wait until you find someone. she finally got the owners son and what was that for! even ruder! long story short i will not be going back and will be watching my account to see if my refund will be given to me which i at this point highly doubt!

(if i could give 0 stars for this review, i would.) i am beyond disappointed in my experience at my neighborhood restaurant this evening. after being quoted a 15 minute wait time for a simple takeout order i still gave it 25 minutes until i picked it up knowing that sometimes these wait times are underestimated. to my surprise and dismay, not only was my food not ready, it took an additional 35 minutes of me waiting in my car after the restaurant quoted the ready time to go back in and see that it was "ready". except it wasn't. an entire meal was missed by two meatballs pushing our wait time out another 20 minutes. a 1 hour 15 minute takeout wait time for 4 meals? obnoxious. a 1 hour 15 minute takeout wait time for 4 meals and the owner not being accommodating and at the same time being condescending and rude? unacceptable. as a veteran of the service industry i understand that things happen. a lot. but to offer a $25 gift card on an $80 takeout order after the owner was overly aggressive and obscene toward a weekly patron? unreal. quite frankly, it was unbelievable; not only to myself, but also to other customers who overheard the exchange. we will be gifting our $25 credit and taking our business to other more delicious and deserving local restaurants. good riddance.

avoid at all costs. staff will purposefully tamper with your food for fun if you step away from your table. food is always overcooked even if you beg for it to be cooked properly!
