we were seated quickly around noon for lunch. my son liked the meatballs and mypastawas ok. my husband ordered spaghetti and said the sauce tasted like it was out of a can. i thought the same thing when i tasted the garlic rolls with the sauce. service was fine.

two meatballs in the kitchen, salrose ln.,ft. myers,fl., here is my 2 cents on the food and chit chat.
the food.i order 2 items. one to dine in, meatball & spaghetti and a italian sub with soup to go.
i got the classic meatballs/spaghetti. it was the way my mother made spaghetti. the sauce was soaked into thepasta. that was delish..... i must say i was disappointed. i was expecting 2,two, meatballs in mypastainstead just 1 big one, almost the size of a grapefruit. it tasted fine and i needed to take half of it home. alas the name is two meatballs in the kitchen.
the sub and soup. 8 bucks...the soup was a italian kind. i thought it was a bit bland. it was thick, round pasta, tomato and other veggies. ....the sub was sub par too. too small, less than 4 inches , diced tomatos, not a lot of meat and the bread was wimpy. it was not a good italian bun.
service  was great.
food overall was good. but i waited 5 years to be blown away. i was just puffed like a 5 yo at a birthday party.

repeat diner 4 or 5 times. food and service always great. drinks too. appetizers, seafood,pastavery good. busy place but good staff keeps things humming. can't understand how anyone had bad food or service.

i ordered the seafood fradiavolo and it was the best seafoodpastai've ever had the quality and quantity wise. the garlic bread that comes before meal was very good as well. good choice to try this restaurant!

unexpectedly poor. i'm not hard to please, but the meal and the service was well below expectation. first, how do you make bright orangepastasauce? even the addition of cream wouldn't be sufficient to turn tomato sauce this orange. my chicken marsala had no taste and was over cooked and served with potatoes rather than pasta. i had to practically beg for thepastawhich was covered in a yucky brown sauce, supposedly the marsala. waitress never asked if we wanted bread and we had to wait an unreasonable amount of time before she returned with beverages. this was poor quality food, and bad service. never again.

the red sause wasn't very good it was too sweet, the talapia and angle hairpastawas delicous but the bread they served at the begining of the meal was swimming in olive oil

super service & food. we had been told how great the food was. last night we went for dinner. brian had sal's favoritepastaand i had house favorite angle hair & sausage. the food was unreal and the service was the best in ft. myers, our server was alex basile, he was the bar tender and no one at the bar ever wanted for anything plus most people ate at the bar they were so crowded. thanks again alex...

bread w oil and cheese. tonight we went out to dinner, this palce is great, super food, service, had sals favorite pasta, house favorite with sausage, we ate at the bar and our bartender aka server was alex basile, he was great fast service with a smile. we will be back!!!!

horrible. claims to be authentic italian cuisine. if this is italian i'll eat my shoe. the only redeaming quality for this restaurant was the waitress, the decor, the cleanliness, and the wine. their pick of the house pinot grigio is excellent and our waitress was excellent. the food is horrible, the tomato sauce came out of a campbell's soup can and the lasagna was so bad that they hid it in a huge glob of mozzarella cheese (i mean it melted to about a half inch thick and spread to about 10 inches wide) and then put so much sauce over that that i wasn't sure what was under it. the house salad dressing tasted like oil with too much french's mustard mixed together. thepastafagiole soup had to have been, again, campbell's tomato soup mixed with a can of baked beans and then threw in some carrots and ditalinipastato make it look authentic. the meatballs in the mama'spastatasted like the frozen meatballs in the bag at costco. i can't believe anyone with true italian heritage would consider this slop food. don't waste your time, money or gas on this place.

nothing to write home about. i dined for lunch at this local establishment with several other friends. the wait time was minimal and we were seated promptly, however it may have been because the restaurant was empty. i placed my order for the three meatball appetizer. it came out quickly and looked decent. when i first bit into the mass of meat i couldn't believe how absolutely flavorless it was. the rolls served along with it were a bit hard and were dripping in evoo which would have been fine if cheese and garlic had been added to the mixture. i had ordered the calzone and when it arrived i noted that it was plum full of hot melted cheeses (i hope you like ricotta!) and served with a side of luke warm marinara. it wasn't anything i would ever need to try again in this lifetime, but it wasn't terrible. my fiancé tried the tortellini maria. she seemed to enjoy her dish more so than i enjoyed mine. i tried a taste of herpastaand it seemed way too overcooked. the service in the beginning was fantastic but deteriorated once we were ready to pay for the bill. the server waited 15 minutes to come back for our checks and upon their return, had a complete attitude with a few friends who joined us (all of which weren't very excited about their meals either).

note to server: at the end of a guests meal is your last time to shine and also receive a decent tip!!!! apparently they missed this section of the "servers guide to happy guests." this left the lasting impression for all of us not to return to this mediocre dive. you can bet that these 8 people will be joining the ranks of patrons that won't be dining with you again.

saw all the reviews and thought. we have read many reviews of this up and coming fun little restaurant unfortunately the magic and enthusiasm from the early days of opening may have worn off. we dined late on saturday night 7/02. the restaurant was winding down maybe one third occupied. the menu looked good from a variety of items we tried two items the pizza salad and a chicken with mushroom and pea alfredo. the pizza arrived about 25 minutes after ordering along wiht thepastadish. the pizza crust was crisp and well served with a pesto base. the chicken dish was a little bland chicken was just chunky and unseasoned and the mushrooms were cut so thick they were still raw inside not cooked through. the service time was attentive at first then was lost through the remainder of our dinner. we arrived and were seated by 840 pm and finally were given attention for our check and leftover boxes by 945. considering we came in for a quick bite to try after being in orlando all day it was anything but. sorry two meatballs but our adventure ended up with a no return in sight planned. hope you can get back to what everyone was writing about when i first heard of your establishment.

cold milkypasta? alfredo??. my chicken alfredo was cold, taste like milk with peas on coldpastaand luke warm chicken. served 5 minutes after everyone else. don"t serve hotpastacold!!!

love it!. love finding little places like this!
threw my husband in the car, telling him we were going for "real italian". it's tucked in off of daniel's parkway..
it was between lunch & dinner, so we were able to have a booth. i originally wanted to order a pizza, from the rave reviews here, but hubby decided he wanted chic parm. ( he never goes for anything imaginative.. he isn't a "foodie") now, you either get chic parm right, or it's awful. two's chic parm is perfect. the tomato sauce is so fresh, none of that bland canned stuff, this is the real deal. but wait.. i am getting ahead of myself.
after being seated, the waitress was prompt, took our drink order and brought fresh rolls. real rolls, homemade, with evoo and herbs. good stuff!
we had a minute to look around, and the decor is an interesting mix of class & funky artsy italian. loved the copper pressed ceilings. the manager? maybe owner kept fussing witht he blinds and the dimmer switches though.. he's a bit bubbly to say the least.
we ordered.. hubby the chic parm, and i had the tilapia, with an add on of soup. now, i've had many manypastafagioli's in my lifetime, and this bowl was spot on great!
it was a full bowl for one thing, the vege/noodle/bean ratio was correct, and the thick broth delicious! a very good beginning!
next up was entree's... like i said, his was good. the chicken was thick , and the breading not overpowering. ample cheese under the sauce, as it should be!
my tilapia was two huge portions, breaded a bit too thick for my taste, but the lemon sauce was good! (will ask for a bit more sauce next time) it came with fingerling potatoes, that were flash deep fried. creamy, yes.
also a side of mixed vege's: carrot zuch squash. the carrot was a bit hard. but, the fish made up for it. thick, perfectly cooked, yum!
we were too full for dessert or coffee.. but on the way put, niticed the place next door ;full of balony! stopped in there, and how nice, desserts to go! italian cake, cannolli's, fruit tarts. i'll have to get back to you on how those are.. i'm still too full to eat them. but, they look good sitting on my kitchen counter.
the place has a great deli selection of meats & cheeses, and other italian stuff. the staff was fun. ( and cute too!)
all in all we spent $40 on dinner $8 for tip.. then $8.90 for 2 desserts next door and 1 expresso candy to eat in the car.
a lovely little dinner, in a tiny out of the way place... but trust me, go! call your wife from work.. meet her there.. have a date night. you'll both be pleased.
