two meatballs in the kitchen

everything was as expected until we were sat at our table. normalwaittime and we were comfortable while we waited on our table. then it was like they forgot we were there. we ordered drinks and then had towaitat least 20 minutes to have our server come back so we could order our food. meanwhile, as i'm looking around for our server i see a young man walking around the restraint like he was lost, he would gaze around the room and look important, i try to flag him over since i figured he must have worked there and all he ended up doing was giving me a blank stare. so after waiting for our server to comeback with our food (which was overcooked) and then asking for our check (which also took an additional 20 min, we left and asked to speak to a manager and were greeted by the young man who appeared lost. he showed very little concern and was also very dry. i would not recommend this restaurant to my worst enemy. it wasn't a horrible place it was just annoying and seemed more pike a chore than a relaxing evening with my date.

superb italian restaurant. fabulouswaitstaff who were busy busy busy but never felt like we wanted for anything. food it huge! definitely share a plate of you are there for dinner. best italian we’ve ever had and a must to go eat.

i completely agree with other people regarding the 0 rate!
i placed my order over the phone with the girl who was not professional or nice from the first minute our conversation started! once i arrived everything was packed up and she handed me a bag with everything in it. when i get home i noticed i'm missing a salad. i was not planning on going back for it but i did want a refund for what i paid for and was not given to me.
when i called she was completing offensive saying no man you left it here! really? i left it? no! you never gave it to me! regardless once i asked for a refund she said she can not do that and the owner was not around. i shouldn't of had to tell her what to do in that situation but i apparently did. i said if you can't do it then find someone who can. she said we're busy and we will just call you back later. i wasn't happy with the attitude she was giving me and had no trust that she would call back. i said no i'llwaituntil you find someone. she finally got the owners son and what was that for! even ruder! long story short i will not be going back and will be watching my account to see if my refund will be given to me which i at this point highly doubt!

(if i could give 0 stars for this review, i would.) i am beyond disappointed in my experience at my neighborhood restaurant this evening. after being quoted a 15 minutewaittime for a simple takeout order i still gave it 25 minutes until i picked it up knowing that sometimes thesewaittimes are underestimated. to my surprise and dismay, not only was my food not ready, it took an additional 35 minutes of me waiting in my car after the restaurant quoted the ready time to go back in and see that it was "ready". except it wasn't. an entire meal was missed by two meatballs pushing ourwaittime out another 20 minutes. a 1 hour 15 minute takeoutwaittime for 4 meals? obnoxious. a 1 hour 15 minute takeoutwaittime for 4 meals and the owner not being accommodating and at the same time being condescending and rude? unacceptable. as a veteran of the service industry i understand that things happen. a lot. but to offer a $25 gift card on an $80 takeout order after the owner was overly aggressive and obscene toward a weekly patron? unreal. quite frankly, it was unbelievable; not only to myself, but also to other customers who overheard the exchange. we will be gifting our $25 credit and taking our business to other more delicious and deserving local restaurants. good riddance.

unexpectedly poor. i'm not hard to please, but the meal and the service was well below expectation. first, how do you make bright orange pasta sauce? even the addition of cream wouldn't be sufficient to turn tomato sauce this orange. my chicken marsala had no taste and was over cooked and served with potatoes rather than pasta. i had to practically beg for the pasta which was covered in a yucky brown sauce, supposedly the marsala. waitress never asked if we wanted bread and we had towaitan unreasonable amount of time before she returned with beverages. this was poor quality food, and bad service. never again.

great restaurant. food andwaitstaff are always great, check our the 2 for $20 menu for the summer, great value.

waste of time. ive been here 4 times, 3 of which i was forced to go by friends insistance. this place is just awefull, horrible, and disgusting. i dont think that ive ever had a hot meal here, i would even settle for warm. the service is worse then the food and don't expect to come here for fast service. i really dont understand why people would stand andwaitfor this crap.

always great!. today was about the 5th time i've done a large carry out order to cater a luncheon for clients. every single time the food has been wonderful. sal and alex always help make great suggestions w/ selecting the menu. when i pick it up i always know i don't even have to check anything. i've never had a mistake or anything left out as far as utensils, food or any details. i have had large chains forget serving utensils and it's not fun. my clients always want to know where the food came from and can'twaitto go there themselves. i have never had the pizza, but several of my clients also had pizza catered for a class and they said it's wonderful! the food and the service has always exceeded my expectations and been a big hit with my clients. will be using them for the same purpose in september and hopefully, actually eating there with friends very soon!

nothing to write home about. i dined for lunch at this local establishment with several other friends. thewaittime was minimal and we were seated promptly, however it may have been because the restaurant was empty. i placed my order for the three meatball appetizer. it came out quickly and looked decent. when i first bit into the mass of meat i couldn't believe how absolutely flavorless it was. the rolls served along with it were a bit hard and were dripping in evoo which would have been fine if cheese and garlic had been added to the mixture. i had ordered the calzone and when it arrived i noted that it was plum full of hot melted cheeses (i hope you like ricotta!) and served with a side of luke warm marinara. it wasn't anything i would ever need to try again in this lifetime, but it wasn't terrible. my fiancé tried the tortellini maria. she seemed to enjoy her dish more so than i enjoyed mine. i tried a taste of her pasta and it seemed way too overcooked. the service in the beginning was fantastic but deteriorated once we were ready to pay for the bill. the server waited 15 minutes to come back for our checks and upon their return, had a complete attitude with a few friends who joined us (all of which weren't very excited about their meals either).

note to server: at the end of a guests meal is your last time to shine and also receive a decent tip!!!! apparently they missed this section of the "servers guide to happy guests." this left the lasting impression for all of us not to return to this mediocre dive. you can bet that these 8 people will be joining the ranks of patrons that won't be dining with you again.

icky poo-poo. i couldn't decide what was worse........the service, the food, or the management. i can't believe that peoplewaitin line for this crappy food and slow service, but then again, people confuse large portions with good food.

not impressed. my wife and i went to this place after hearing good things from colleagues at work. after the 30 min.waitin the bar, which was totally acceptable - the drinks were not watered down or anything -- we were seated. our table drinks took quite a while to get to us. the antepasto tray was great, but our waitress never came back to see if we needed anything - drink refills or anything. the food finally came and it was pretty good. i had the steak marsala. it was pretty good, but the steak was overcooked. the big complaint was that our waitress literally never reappeared. we waited for 20 minutes after eating for our bill. we finally got tired of waiting and went up front. after rushing around, they finally got the bill to us. we asked to speak to a manager and a young man came over to us. we explained the lack of service and he basically said "well...sorry." he didn't offer anything by way of apology - not even a discount on the bill. up until that point, we likely would have come back for another try; however, after the attitude of the manager and the complete lack of interest in keeping a customer, we will not be back. marsala's in estero is a much better and more authentic experience than this place. it's just a further drive.

back one year later. we found this place one year ago and thought it was a hidden gem and could notwaitto go back this year. it appears that we were not the only people to find this place. they obviously had such a following that they moved next door into a building that was at least three times the size of the old place, unfortunately this move, as far as we are concerned, may be their undoing. the new place is so noisy that we could not carry on a normal conversation. the most important aspect however is that they lost all the ambiance the old place had. our meals were not as good as we remembered but i'm wondering if our disappointment in the new place shaded our thinking.

if you are a newcomer and had never been to the old place give it a try, if you have been to the old place i'm afraid you may be disappointed.

we were looking for a great italian "joint", nothing fancy and we sure found it. two meatballs inthe kitchen fits the bill. we walked in and the joint was jumping and were we pleasantly surprised to find real italian dishes. give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

awesome. started going here about a year ago and if i didn't know how bad the food was for ya, i would go every week. now i go bout every other week and can'twaitfor that day to come. love everything never been disappointed. only problem they moved and now they carry mt dew and not mellow yellow like they did at old location.

two meatballs moved into a new building next door. it is the very yellow building. it appearsnto have a lot more seating space.

great ny style food and atmospere. i had gina's favorite chicken and it was wonderful. my wife had tilapia and loved it. we had a bottle of wine at a price about the same as publix. i can'twaitto go back to try the pizza!

great meatballs and ceasar salad. can'twaitto go back to try another menu item!
