slater's 50/50

made my own burger with 50/50 meat on white with vampire dip, jalapeno, cucumber, grilled onion and grilled green pepper. awesome!

the 50/50 burger came with an over medium fried egg, avocado mash, pepper jack cheese and chipotle mayo and served on a gigantic bun.

burgers and more. heard about this place and i had to try it. if you are going to go, you have to go for the glory.......50% ground beef and 50% ground bacon in a burger...shut up. it was incredible! this place has some great and unique burger toppings, the appetizer selection was great, especially the ability to choose a mix of favorites and the draft beer selection was never ending. this place is one of my all time favorites. place gets really busy, we went for a late lunch and it was perfect timing.

imagine you have in front of you a perfect burger. what condiments are on it? is the meat cooked rare or medium rare? you also got to have cheese right? is there bacon? at slater's you can have any of that. this burger joint / bar lets you fill out a form (pencil and paper) and choose from different patty sizes, cheeses, sauces, and extra condiments. they even let you choose what kind of bread you can have that on. with all these combinations, you can have any burger you want, any way you want it. their beer selection is pretty impressive as well. having that perfect burger and the perfect brew to go with it is sometimes a difficult endeavor for some. at slaters 50/50, it is all there. what makes this place special is what they do with their patties. you may be wondering to yourself, what is that 50/50 for? the 50/50 is their specialty patty made with 50% ground beef, and 50% ground bacon. you add that with their never ending list of condiments,

after hearing about this place for months, seeing it on the food network and finally making it down for my birthday with family and friends. a two hour wait on a saturday night, plus had the babies in the cold weather. i could not have had a better burger experience once we got seated. all i can say is oohhh yaaaa a must do and i will have an urge for slaters at least once a month!

very good - can't wait to visit again!. i really enjoyed my meal here! i had heard nothing but good things from friends, and i was excited to try it! it was very crowded, so i opted to sit at the bar (which was also almost full!).

they have a great beer selection, and i went for the guinness on tap. i couldn't resist the 50/50 burger, and i tried my own combo. i enjoyed what i ordered, but perhaps i will try one of their pre designed burgers. because of the bacon, they can only cook these burgers well done. problem is, there is no such thing in my opinion as too well done (i know, i know), and it was not cooked enough to my liking. i will make sure to ask them to cook it longer next time. i got the fried pickle chips as well. they were average. way too greasy, and they were kind of bunched in the batter so they were not all coated well.

it is worth trying, and does live up to the hype. start with something off the menu before you try your own burger combination.

not gluten free. slaters idea of gluten friendly is giving us lettuce to wrap our burger in. not gluten friendly.

msw. love, love, love slater's. i have been there twice! both times tried to time it to arrive on the off hours...no such thing. however, the wait wasn't as bad as warned and was well worth it!! just go with the right attitude...wait and enjoy yourself! a must go to for a terrific burger!

wow!. had the 50/50 burger with mozzarella & green chilies, it was to die for!!!!!!! by far the best tasting burger around these parts! the strawberry lemonade was great as well, must try!

awesome burger place.

it is a rite of passage for food blogger's in our county to review slater's. the north county spot has been reviewed on almost every blog that i read. it was even the site for a gathering of food frenzy fans. so when i had the rare opportunity to find myself in north orange county for lunch time, it was a no-brainer where i was going to eat. slater's 50/50 is located in a non-descript shopping center off the beaten track in anaheim hills. i can not even tell you what else was in this shopping center, because i had a burger in my cross hairs, and could not wait to get inside and wolf one down. slater's is a decent sized restaurant with about fifty, or so tables. they also took over the area next door and made a sports bar out of it. we arrived just before 11:30 on a thursday, and the place was moderately busy. we were sat right away, and given ample time to peruse the menu. the menu features salads, sandwiches, and sig

bbwtlp. the people working there are really nice and know how to appologize. the kitchen on the other hand sucks, they screwed up our burger order, accually put the wrong patties on the burgers, no egg on my 50/50 burger, and the wrong cheese. the meat has no flavor, they could have at least put a little salt and pepper on it. the sweet potatoe fries and vampire dip are really good. the shakes are to thin.

really liked this place. good atmosphere, great service and delicious food. highly recommend checking this place out if you love burgers

good food, poor customer service. a group of 20 of my friends made dinner reservations over a week ago at slater 50/50 to celebrate a birthday on saturday. the reservations were for 7pm and when we got there, another large party was also waiting for a table but they did not have a reservation. for some unknown reason the manager gave away our table to the other party, and told us that they would "make it up" to us by giving us a discount or free drinks. when all was said and done, we weren't seated until 8:30pm and the manager made it up to us by giving us a whopping $20 off on a $600 bill (not including the 18% gratuity automatically added to our bill). don't get me wrong, the food & drinks were good but if that's what the management thinks is appropriate customer service, we won't be back anytime soon.

not bad but.... ...i've been hitting a lot of gastropubs and places of a similar nature lately and this is just one in a line. their signature burger is pretty damned good but it's still lower on the shelf than umami. they have a pretty good beer slection as well but, once again, so does the haven or commonwealth lounge or the bruery, etc. i don't want to give the impression that the place was bad, it wasn't, but other than the fact that the 50/50 patty is made with 50% ground bacon the rest of the ingredients are just novelty. i mean a peanutbutter and jelly burger? really? granted i didn't order that and it may turn out to be the best thing i've ever had but i don't know - i find it suspect. anyways slater's is definitely worth the try but if you don't live near the place you probably won't be going back too soon. it's too far for a burger you can get at the haven or the crosby and you don't really need all of that crazy junk on a good burger anyway. oh and i forgot about the sides. the fried pickles were great but very greasy and the sweet potato fries were good as well but they give you ranch dip with the pickles. ranch dip? where are we, tgifriday's? at least give me a house-made ketchup or garlic aioli or something.
