wowow. this is no lite lunch. burger made from 50% bacon & 50% beef with all the toppings. the thing was litteraly 6" tall. there is now way your bitting down on everything.
we ordered the apitizer plate, and almost died...
great food for those on there way out.

went yesterday for the first time, it was so good i wish i lived closer to san diego. i tried 4 different things off the menu, all we're great and the service was just as great. now i only wish their was a slaters 50/50 in north county..

i can't believe no one thought of this already! pure genius! but certainly a vegetarian's nightmare! my sister had the pb&j burger & i designed a special chili burger. tried to make ourselves feel less guilty by having sweet potato fries which are supposedly better for you than regular potato fries. still feel guilty....,,but really satisfied!

all that bacon they add to everything makes it all way too salty. so salty i couldn't finish my food. and that's saying a lot. yuck!

great food, ok service. the burgers are epic, and nice selection of beer (but by no means is slater's a gastropub).
service is just ok, even less than ok... but they can get away with it cuz the burgers are that good.

reasonable price to design your own gourmet burger 1/3 lbs. ($8.95), 2/3 lbs. ($10.95) or full pound ($13.95) or order one of slater's signature burgers ($9.95-$10.45). there were twelve different appetizers ($3.95-$8.95) which can be combined to form a combination plate.

what's in the name 50/50? it comes from its signature burger made with 50% ground beef and 50% ground bacon. mmmnnnn, bacon!!! but if this sounds too much for you to handle, you have other choices of of meats: spicy fire beef, spiced turkey, and veggie patties! the menu offers preset burgers, but you can 'design' your own choosing the patty, bread, cheese (12 to choose from), toppings (30 to choose from), and sauce (20 to choose from ). don't be shocked when your burger arrives because it's

terrible service, and below average hamburgers. after hearing all the hype decided to try out slater's 50/50. even though the restaurant was about 20% full we had to wait 15 mins for a seat, once seated i proceeded to fill out the checklist ordering their signature 50/50 burger. it came on a bun that was so dry the whole thing fell apart. once the meal was over my waitress (the one i waited 15 mins for to seat me) was nowhere to be found. i waited 20 mins and finally paid at the bar. looking forward to umami burger opening in anaheim. that is a class establishment

pastrami. my friend i went with ordered this - she said it was really good. but again as my previous review states: no fries and there's no real way to pick it up and eat it.

chili burger. it was amazing flavor-wise. i was really bummed that for $10 i didn't get any fries with it. and then although it was really good, there was no physical way to actually pick it up and eat it.

when i sat down at the bar, i ordered a 2/3 lb 50/50 burger with lettuce, tomato, onion, relish, cheddar, and swiss with chipotle mayo and decimatated it like i was popping an advil tablet into my mouth!!! i mean i was experiencing the breath of god and had never felt anything like i was experiencing while i was smothering that meat patty into my newly filled with life face!!!! that meat was so savory and so flavorful!!!! there was a smokiness and tenderness to the 50/50 pa
