pourhouse, like many of its gastown brothers and sisters, is a good restaurant. not just because of the food, though the food that i tried was good. not just because of the drinks, because they were good too

one of my favourite places in the city. the servers are very attentive and have great attention to even the smallest detail. 

the interior has a very old school 20's vibe. almost great gatsby-esque. the bartenders all look dapper with their beards and vest. i almost wish the girls would wear flapper dresses and feather headbands. it goes well with the jazz band that plays once a week. 

the food is awesome. my personal favourite, and arguably the best in town is the burger. it's just so juicy and perfect. their fries are also on point. the bone marrow is also something worth trying. they serve it with toast and sea salt. it's so creamy and buttery. it's great for sharing. another favourite of mine is the mac n' cheese with bacon.

great little spot in gastown with a trendy ambiance. the menu had a great selection of unique dishes. i loved the dish i had. it was so unique and delicious, we ended up ordering two of the dishes. i was so impressed with the presentation. service was quick and the server was attentive. they had a good selection of wine but i found the prices to be a little on the high side. would go back to try other dishes as i was quite impressed with the dishes we selected.

friendly and attentive service, very tasty food, wine list so-so, atmosphere fun and upbeat! 1st time eating clams and was pleasently surprised with them, especially the sauce. fresh baked cookies for dessert yum!!!

cozy. my friend and i went here for drinks after dinner

awesome service! very knowledgeable about the menu, great recommendations. i forget the name but i had a martini that was pink, with a egg white foam on top, its made with 2 oz gin and fresh raspberries, and lime. mmm also the white lady is very good !

didn't eat there tho... next time!

i'm sure it's a nice looking place, but it's dim inside. lights are dimmed at 7pm, and again later (8pm?). for a tight space, there's actually quite a bit of privacy with how the seating is arranged, plus there are lots of booths. if you want any chance of a booth, best to mention that during your reservation.

pourhouse is a gastown neighbourhood bar and restaurant that i frequent because they’re equally serious about their food and cocktail programs. i’m a bottomless pit when i drink so that’s important. the cocktail recipes are not particularly difficult and there’s something for everyone, from frothy and bright to round and herbal.

a pleasant surprise. this restaurant was completely unknown to me until suggested by a friend. our waiter was extremely kind and polite, knowledgeable about all the food items on the menu, and very prompt with the service. it was a delicious meal, the ambiance and music are great, and the prices are not too high.

one of my favorites! great atmosphere, great food, great drinks. i wish there were more places like the pourhouse around so i guess i'll just have to keep going back.

i've been to pourhouse for drinks several times. i have yet to try their food menu. however, the bar selection is good and the bartenders are helpful. i tried a couple of new bourbons based on their recommendations. i especially like pourhouse during colder, rainier days because the lighting there is not too bright. i've been there in the summer, too, and it's been a good experience.

tried to play "stump the bartender". i could not. they knew their stuff and every cocktail was expertly made. main reason i went to pourhouse twice on this recent vancouver visit, looking forward to coming back. love a great cocktail bar.

a great friday night out .
we sat at the bar and the bar tenders was great . very friendly and very helpful
we ordered scotched eggs .... so good
and a burger and osco bucco .. they were great as well

one of the best burgers i've had in vancouver. really appreciate them not serving an overdone hockey puck like many places do. only small complaint is that there isn't quite enough caramelized onion, you don't taste it in every bite (though it's already delicious enough without, it'd be fantastic with enough). accompanying fries were also adequately crispy. also super impressed with the chicken liver toast. portion was much bigger than expected for the price, they really piled on the liver. 10/10 would order again.

back to pourhouse! i had a sort of lacklustre experience last time, but i still have credit on my gift card, so i found another friend to come along. this time, i went for the veggie options. i was curious to try their vegetarian burger, but other things ended up intriguing me more. maybe on my last attempt i'll get the burger.
