awesome service! very knowledgeable about the menu, great recommendations. i forget the name but i had a martini that was pink, with a egg white foam on top, its made with 2 oz gin and fresh raspberries, and lime. mmm also the white lady is very good !

didn't eat there tho... next time!

i've been to pourhouse fordrinksseveral times. i have yet to try their food menu. however, the bar selection is good and the bartenders are helpful. i tried a couple of new bourbons based on their recommendations. i especially like pourhouse during colder, rainier days because the lighting there is not too bright. i've been there in the summer, too, and it's been a good experience.

i brought a friend in the evening and we sat in the "lounge" area after getting dinner somewhere else (two high-backed, plushy armchairs with a small round table). in short, we had a great time! our server was attentive and friendly, and offered to suggestdrinksdepending on what style my friend wanted. i ordered a couple of cocktails and a neat single serving of dalwhinnie (15yr), and my friend ordered a jack rose and brandy alexander. the pourhouse staff also servedrinksthat are not on the menu, which is always lovely. thedrinksare nicely made, and water is constantly served. it was a great way to end off the evening in a nice atmosphere.

pros:

- an undeniable sophisticated atmosphere.
- great service withdrinkscoming within a few minutes of ordering.
- very good scotch eggs.

cons:
- too busy and cannot get seated immediately.

love this place. the decor, the atmosphere, thedrinksand the food. different from anything else. definitely go here if you haven't been!!!

scotched eggs a must. my boyfriend enjoys this place alot, we go there for drinks/ late night food. scotched eggs are a thing on the menu we both enjoy.drinksaren't bad. its usually not too busy when we go in . only thing is parking ( gotta find street parking) and its quite dark in there ( i guess thats part of the atmosphere ) when we are in gastown its a place we def stop by =)

spectacular in every way. amazing bar, friendly (not to mention unbelievably good looking) servers, excellent vibe, awesome food. never had a scotch egg before, but i will be back. yummydrinks($15 martinis), food, vibe...so excited that i've *finally* found somewhere in vancouver besides my own kitchen that i want to eat & hang out at! best fries i've ever had.

after shopping at a few local boutiques in gastown, i needed a snack and remembered c'est la vie a maggi instagramming a photo of a large bone marrow from pourhouse. in addition, she mentioned it was only $12.00! so, since bf and i were in the area and needed something light, it was pretty much meant to be. walking in on a weekday around 4:30pm, the restaurant was not very busy and a couple of people were  drinking at the bar. after waiting at the front for a while, the bartender asked if we were here fordrinksor food, along with providing us a choice of a table or bar seat, before calling the waiter. the atmosphere at pourhouse is very homey and feels like a relaxing place to socialize, although of course the restaurant will get loud during busier times such as dinner through to late night. asides from the comfortable atmosphere, the high rustic wooden ceiling along with the pillars to the bricked walls, resemble a traditional european style interior. as for the seating arrangements

pourhouse restaurant in gastown has a good lunch deal for $14, where you get a sandwich, a beer and a side. since it does come with beer, the price isn't too bad. mandu, koreangirl and jojocake came here for lunch on a weekday, but once we sat down, we really didn't want beer since we will had some work to do in the afternoon. it would have been awkward smelling like beer in the office. pourhouse gives you the option of having otherdrinksinstead. cappuccino was just what jojocake needed. she thought it was alright, but the temperature definitely could have been hotter. macchiato is what mandu needed. similar to jojocake, her coffee was just lukewarm and not hot. tea is what koreangirl and i needed. the tea was a good temperature and the tea cups came warmed too. pulled pork sandwich with cream of cauliflower soup . this is what everyone else at the table ordered. the pulled pork sandwich has pulled pork, bbq sauce, aged cheddar and slaw. they thought it was bit small at first, but wh

greatdrinksand charcuterie. waiter named adam g. suggested a gin based cocktail called don't give up the ship since they didn't have one of the ingredients for the gin drink on the menu and it was so good! we also had the charcuterie and cheese boards and both were delicious. there were some obnoxious loud talking drunk guys but the staff handled them well. doesn't hurt that adam g. is dreamy...

following the bombay sapphire speakeasy event , adam queenie and i went to pourhouse for some moredrinksfood. i used to go to school right above pourhouse, at the vsbm a couple years ago. i loved being downtown everyday, and more specifically being in gastown all the time. it gave me the opportunity & excuse to try out many restaurants, such as deacon's corner , the alibi room , the cambie , momo sushi , brioche , so.cial (now called le magasin), revel room and the irish heather (long table series) . the interior of pourhouse is very romantic.. definitely sets the mood and transports you, which is sometimes the most important aspect of dining out. sure you can make food at home, but you can't change your setting (well, not entirely) when you do that, and that really a

good food, better drinks.. i've only been here once for dinner but have been itching to go back. (food was good, thedrinksare better) love the atmosphere and look of the place. our server (don't remember his name but was a male) was very helpful and friendly with the menu. also very knowledgeable about everything on the menu including all the ingredients they used. my gf's and i were impressed!

my friend is a lover of caesar's and unfortunately they don't make them at pourhouse (something about clam juice not being natual, they only use natural ingredients..etc, etc) so our server suggested a different drink.. i can't remember the name but it was sooo much better than a caesar! the cocktails are pricey but well worth it after you've tasted them. i had the bittercup and fell in love with how tasty it was.

for dinner we shared the squid. really good but super, super small. i got the smoked brisket sandwich which was just okay. didn't really care for it. one friend got the grilled cheese sandwich and loved it but i think she just loves anything with cheese in it. the other friend got the sturgeon and it was pretty good.
