great little spot in gastown with a trendy ambiance. the menu had a great selection of unique dishes. i loved the dish i had. it was so unique and delicious, we ended up ordering two of the dishes. i was so impressed with the presentation. service was quick and the server was attentive. they had agoodselection of wine but i found the prices to be a little on the high side. would go back to try other dishes as i was quite impressed with the dishes we selected.

awesome service! very knowledgeable about the menu, great recommendations. i forget the name but i had a martini that was pink, with a egg white foam on top, its made with 2 oz gin and fresh raspberries, and lime. mmm also the white lady is verygood!

didn't eat there tho... next time!

i've been to pourhouse for drinks several times. i have yet to try their food menu. however, the bar selection isgoodand the bartenders are helpful. i tried a couple of new bourbons based on their recommendations. i especially like pourhouse during colder, rainier days because the lighting there is not too bright. i've been there in the summer, too, and it's been agoodexperience.

this place is amazing.it was a verygooddecision to choose this place . the prices are very reasonable . staff was very professional and helpful .
definitely going to visit this place again.

and a burger and osco bucco .. they were great as well

tried the pourhouse burger after hearing high praises. the bun was a bit burnt but the patty was very substantial and juicy. it was overall agoodburger but the fries were weirdly stale. the place is quite dark for dinner hours, i could hardly read the menu.

finally got a chance to have a meal at pourhouse, after years of recommendations from family and friends. we decided to go because they didn't do dine out (i try to avoid those restaurants now). the place had a warm and vibrant vibe to it. it was hip and quite crowded for a wednesday night. service was prompt and professional. i had a scotch egg, rabbit terrine, and chocolate and almond cake. all in all, i had quite agoodtime. the server never hurried us when we were finished eating. we even got our water refilled quite a few times. i may go back, but i'd definitely recommend trying it out.

pros:

- an undeniable sophisticated atmosphere.
- great service with drinks coming within a few minutes of ordering.
- verygoodscotch eggs.

cons:
- too busy and cannot get seated immediately.

i have written about this one a few times already. and it still remains as one of my favourites places to visit downtown. a have come in for meals and just drinks, and each time have not been disappointed with the selection. i consider it a guaranteegoodeat. a solid choice when between my guest and i, we can’t decide on where to dine. and seeing as today i would be sharing my meal with a vegetarian, i wasn’t willing to chance on the food or place. in fact i was here with the same guest that was with me during my last visit here.

walking in both the elevated dining area and the bar were empty. the friendly bartender popped up and out from his station to greet us. despite our willingness to seat ourselves, he followed us to a booth of our choosing and equipped us with what we needed to order our meal, a selection process between three menus. at 3pm we were still in time for lunch, but not being interested in sandwiches we passed on their soup, sandwich, and beer deal. and sadly there was no happy hour specials to take advantage of other than three discounted drinks. so we stuck with their regular menu.

spectacular in every way. amazing bar, friendly (not to mention unbelievablygoodlooking) servers, excellent vibe, awesome food. never had a scotch egg before, but i will be back. yummy drinks ($15 martinis), food, vibe...so excited that i've *finally* found somewhere in vancouver besides my own kitchen that i want to eat & hang out at! best fries i've ever had.

ambience. i went there on a sunday night,goodmusic and nice ambience and i enjoyed my time, my only complaint is toward one of the bar tenders. he offered the bill while i did not ask for it. i 'm not a type of guy to order a glass of water and sit there for a few hours and i really don't like when they bring me the bill when i did not ask for it. that is a no tip policy for me, but this time i just let it go. just this tall guy annoyed me the other bartenders were very professional and nice. overall i really like the place

just asgoodas i remembered! crispy on the outer edge, soft like a cloud on the inside, baked to a golden brown all around, not a single charred spot anywhere... my fav type of cookie!

consistently good. had a great meal here tonight - it's always great, food is extraordinary, they do an amazing job with fresh local product and a lot of heart. service was terrific - we had adam who has been there since day 1 and was outstanding.goodjob - kudos!

i get why some people don’t like eggs; especially if it’s a textural thing. i, on the other hand, love them. scotch eggs, perfect little nuggets of deliciousness to go with agoodbeer or perfectly crafted cocktail.
