can't wait to go back, again and again. my husband, 2year old and i ate breakfast at kate's kitchen this morning after dropping my daughter off at prek. this was our second time here, the first being for lunch. (which was the best lunch i've had in years!!! and i'm pregnant and hard to please.)
i ordered the chicken fried chicken with eggs, hubby got the burrito and my son ordered the pancake w/sausage. amazing!!! this was the best breakfast ever. and after i finished my delightful chicken & eggs, i helped polish off my sons pancake he hadn't eaten.

this makes two great meals, with excellent customer service to boot.

wonderful experience. such a charming and cheerful atmosphere, awesome service, and an creative menu with affordable prices.
really i was quite surprised as this was no typical breakfast and lunch diner. the food was incredible and very original, not your same old bacon and eggs menu.
the place was clean, and the employees seem happy to serve you.
if you haven't eaten at kate's kitchen you should take a little time to treat yourself, i have no doubt once you have you feel as strongly as i do.

can't believe i hadn't been here yet. as someone else has noted, the restaurant is a lot like first watch. similar decor, target audience, menu, staff, and hours. it's cheaper though. the food is very affordable and well prepared. i had the salmon omelette that came w/ potatoes and toast for $6.50. they also do lunch items. my brother had the chicken fingers. the strips were hearty white-meat chunks, a lot higher quality than most you'd get.

another large selling point that is usually taken for granted was the joe. one of the best plain ole cups of coffee i've had around town.

if you're coming in on a sunday, there can be a pretty large after-church crowd, so plan accordingly. also, watch the hours. they're strictly a breakfast/brunch/lunch place.

omg, nom!!. it's sooo good. i had to cheat on atkins and get the apple pecan pancake... and it was so worth it. i only ate half, but i really wanted to gorge myself on this heavenly creation. i will definitely come back next time i'm in town.

great food and service. we so needed this place north of the river. a clean and fresh atmosphere and always plesant help. the food is always fresh and presentation is always appetizing. we have eaten there many times and always enjoy our visit. never feel rushed even when you walk in at 1:30 pm being they close each day at 2. a must to visit for a great breakfast or lunch.

fast friendly service, fantastic food, and reasonable prices. nugget: apple pecan pancake had the apples and nuts cooked into the batter. potatoes were moist/soft and nicely seasoned. thumbs up!!!

the food is delicious and their cinnamon rolls are the best part it's the best breakfast place i've ever been to. their pancakes are really good especially with the berries.

best breakfast spot in the metro. if you haven't been, go.

i've had most of their menu, and everything is great. anytime family comes to town, they ask to go. awesome staff to boot

this was a really great place to meet up with a friend and have breakfast. the coffee kept coming, the food was good, and the prices really reasonable. i can see this being a saturday morning routine for us.

we were there at 830am on a sunday, no waiting and service was fast. breakfast was amazing. good coffee, fresh eggs, bacon. the bisquits were big and fluffy. i ordered ronnie's french toast which was sour dough bread dipped in batter and grilled. delish. my only complaint is that it was cold in there which cooled down your meal too quickly.

excellent fast and yum!. busy sun morning and food is coming out of the kitchen super fast. and it's good! always impressed with how fast it is, yet the servers aren't overly stressed just getting tables in and out. we'll run place and everyone who works here seams to care.

a little kindness served up with delicious food!. today, my husband and i went to kate's kitchen for lunch. after ordering, we received a text from a friend that has a 5 year old son who is fighting for his life. my husband and i were moved to tears. at that moment... and very quickly i might add, our waitress came to our table with our food. embarrassed, my husband explained the situation and why he was crying (bless his heart). she listened and empathized with our friend and the story of their struggle. she then went back to work while we ate. even though we were sober and it was extremely hard to eat... we ate our lunch. of course, it was exactly as expected... wonderful! the food was fresh, perfectly seasoned and the ideal temperature. delicious as always. but along with the extremely fast and friendly service, delicious food, warm atmosphere and all around charm... we received the kind of experience that can only come from people of genuine character. the waitress shared our story with the manager and they comped our meal in hopes it would brighten our day! amazing people. your food is awesome, your big hearts are awesomer! the money we saved on our lunch has been donated in your name to the eryith's family relief fund on gofundme.com. a big thank you to our waitress, amy!

great local business. i found kate's kitchen while looking through urbanspoon for a local coffee shop, i had never heard of it before, and was excited to try it. the food and coffee were really good, friendly atmosphere, and a great way to support a local business, which i like to do when possible. i would definitely go again and recommend it to my friends and family.
