wonderful experience. such a charming and cheerful atmosphere, awesome service, and an creative menu with affordable prices.
really i was quite surprised as this was no typical breakfast and lunch diner. thefoodwas incredible and very original, not your same old bacon and eggs menu.
the place was clean, and the employees seem happy to serve you.
if you haven't eaten at kate's kitchen you should take a little time to treat yourself, i have no doubt once you have you feel as strongly as i do.

can't believe i hadn't been here yet. as someone else has noted, the restaurant is a lot like first watch. similar decor, target audience, menu, staff, and hours. it's cheaper though. thefoodis very affordable and well prepared. i had the salmon omelette that came w/ potatoes and toast for $6.50. they also do lunch items. my brother had the chicken fingers. the strips were hearty white-meat chunks, a lot higher quality than most you'd get.

another large selling point that is usually taken for granted was the joe. one of the best plain ole cups of coffee i've had around town.

if you're coming in on a sunday, there can be a pretty large after-church crowd, so plan accordingly. also, watch the hours. they're strictly a breakfast/brunch/lunch place.

greatfoodand service. we so needed this place north of the river. a clean and fresh atmosphere and always plesant help. thefoodis always fresh and presentation is always appetizing. we have eaten there many times and always enjoy our visit. never feel rushed even when you walk in at 1:30 pm being they close each day at 2. a must to visit for a great breakfast or lunch.

thefoodis delicious and their cinnamon rolls are the best part it's the best breakfast place i've ever been to. their pancakes are really good especially with the berries.

this was a really great place to meet up with a friend and have breakfast. the coffee kept coming, thefoodwas good, and the prices really reasonable. i can see this being a saturday morning routine for us.

excellent fast and yum!. busy sun morning andfoodis coming out of the kitchen super fast. and it's good! always impressed with how fast it is, yet the servers aren't overly stressed just getting tables in and out. we'll run place and everyone who works here seams to care.

a little kindness served up with delicious food!. today, my husband and i went to kate's kitchen for lunch. after ordering, we received a text from a friend that has a 5 year old son who is fighting for his life. my husband and i were moved to tears. at that moment... and very quickly i might add, our waitress came to our table with our food. embarrassed, my husband explained the situation and why he was crying (bless his heart). she listened and empathized with our friend and the story of their struggle. she then went back to work while we ate. even though we were sober and it was extremely hard to eat... we ate our lunch. of course, it was exactly as expected... wonderful! thefoodwas fresh, perfectly seasoned and the ideal temperature. delicious as always. but along with the extremely fast and friendly service, delicious food, warm atmosphere and all around charm... we received the kind of experience that can only come from people of genuine character. the waitress shared our story with the manager and they comped our meal in hopes it would brighten our day! amazing people. yourfoodis awesome, your big hearts are awesomer! the money we saved on our lunch has been donated in your name to the eryith's family relief fund on gofundme.com. a big thank you to our waitress, amy!

great local business. i found kate's kitchen while looking through urbanspoon for a local coffee shop, i had never heard of it before, and was excited to try it. thefoodand coffee were really good, friendly atmosphere, and a great way to support a local business, which i like to do when possible. i would definitely go again and recommend it to my friends and family.

the best in kc for breakfast. every time we go to kate's kitchen the experience is wonderful. thefoodis always top notch and fresh. it is the one place our family of 5 can unanimously decide to go with no arguments.

this place is awesome. don't walk... run... to their breakfast. it was incredible. service was spot on and thefoodwas beyond great. 4 of us and everyone raved. the friend that ordered the crab cakes benedict had a religious experience. can't say enough good anout this place. we will visit everytime we hit kc.

definitely going to return!. i came upon kate's kitchen online looking for restaurants near by my apt as i'm new in the area. the menu and prices were good, so i thought i'd check it out. the place was packed (which in my experience is an excellent sign). service was good, portion size was good, thefoodwas fresh and good quality. it did not seem like processed food. and the price was excellent. with the quick and friendly service and good quality food, i would definitely recommend stopping by sometime.
