fastfriendlyservice, fantastic food, and reasonable prices. nugget: apple pecan pancake had the apples and nuts cooked into the batter. potatoes were moist/soft and nicely seasoned. thumbs up!!!

a little kindness served up with delicious food!. today, my husband and i went to kate's kitchen for lunch. after ordering, we received a text from a friend that has a 5 year old son who is fighting for his life. my husband and i were moved to tears. at that moment... and very quickly i might add, our waitress came to our table with our food. embarrassed, my husband explained the situation and why he was crying (bless his heart). she listened and empathized with our friend and the story of their struggle. she then went back to work while we ate. even though we were sober and it was extremely hard to eat... we ate our lunch. of course, it was exactly as expected... wonderful! the food was fresh, perfectly seasoned and the ideal temperature. delicious as always. but along with the extremely fast andfriendlyservice, delicious food, warm atmosphere and all around charm... we received the kind of experience that can only come from people of genuine character. the waitress shared our story with the manager and they comped our meal in hopes it would brighten our day! amazing people. your food is awesome, your big hearts are awesomer! the money we saved on our lunch has been donated in your name to the eryith's family relief fund on gofundme.com. a big thank you to our waitress, amy!

great local business. i found kate's kitchen while looking through urbanspoon for a local coffee shop, i had never heard of it before, and was excited to try it. the food and coffee were really good,friendlyatmosphere, and a great way to support a local business, which i like to do when possible. i would definitely go again and recommend it to my friends and family.

i went to kate's kitchen and i was greeted with a smile when i walked in the door. the restaurant was packed, but we were seated within 5 mins on a saturday morning. i am a repeat customer, but it was my companion's first time. i had a really nice chicken salad and he had a club sandwich that he said he would return for soon. our server was reallyfriendlyand never kept us waiting. i asked to take my homemade muffin home and she said she would include the cream cheese icing for me to drizzle on it when i got home. i loved thefriendlystaff and great food. definitely, will return.

good food!. the food, service, & atmosphere @ kate's kitchen is wonderful. going for breakfast or lunch, everyone will find something that they enjoy. the staff actually makes eye contact with diners for more than a couple of seconds! (i've had some bad experiences...) they'refriendly& willing to work with small changes in an order. it's a treat to eat at this charming restaurant.

definitely going to return!. i came upon kate's kitchen online looking for restaurants near by my apt as i'm new in the area. the menu and prices were good, so i thought i'd check it out. the place was packed (which in my experience is an excellent sign). service was good, portion size was good, the food was fresh and good quality. it did not seem like processed food. and the price was excellent. with the quick andfriendlyservice and good quality food, i would definitely recommend stopping by sometime.

great breakfast, great service. went here for brunch with a couple friends. kate's is great, good homemade food and reallyfriendlyservice. the place was busy on a sunday morning so you might have to wait.

i got the breakfast banana split (basically, fruit, banana, yogurt, etc.), it was served up just like a banana split and full of fresh, ripe fruit. i also had a carrot cake muffin which the server made sure to grab me one right after i ordered since there were only 2 left! my friends got the caramel nut french toast (with apples instead of bananas) and they loved it.

best breakfast in kc! we go at least once a month!! the food is always fresh and great, service isfriendlyand helpful but they don't hover and bug you every 2 minutes. highly highly reccommend kate's.

awesome!--really likes it. kate's kitchen is a great place to eat. the staff arefriendlyand the food is excellent. even in the busiest of times you can get in fairly quickly. the time it takes for your food to arrive after you order is as fast as i ever seen.
