the food is delicious and their cinnamon rolls are the best part it's the best breakfast place i've ever been to. their pancakes are reallygoodespecially with the berries.

we were there at 830am on a sunday, no waiting and service was fast. breakfast was amazing.goodcoffee, fresh eggs, bacon. the bisquits were big and fluffy. i ordered ronnie's french toast which was sour dough bread dipped in batter and grilled. delish. my only complaint is that it was cold in there which cooled down your meal too quickly.

this place is awesome. don't walk... run... to their breakfast. it was incredible. service was spot on and the food was beyond great. 4 of us and everyone raved. the friend that ordered the crab cakes benedict had a religious experience. can't say enoughgoodanout this place. we will visit everytime we hit kc.

definitely going to return!. i came upon kate's kitchen online looking for restaurants near by my apt as i'm new in the area. the menu and prices were good, so i thought i'd check it out. the place was packed (which in my experience is an excellent sign). service was good, portion size was good, the food was fresh andgoodquality. it did not seem like processed food. and the price was excellent. with the quick and friendly service andgoodquality food, i would definitely recommend stopping by sometime.

wonderful. not sure where to begin... was visiting the area and was told that the food was reallygoodso stopped by one morning for coffee and to pick up a menu. the owner was personable and went above and beyond to make my experience at kate's amazing. i went back for lunch and sat down. the waiter was the same as the owner- amazing customer service and super quick. i was in and out in 20 minutes and had to bring half of my lunch home with me bc the portions were so large. the next morning i made a to go order and ordered from the fitness corner menu and the crepes were to die for. bonus was that the calories were low. the owner again met me at the door and was super helpful and personable. i did not think places like this existed anymore. thanks to kate's kitchen for several great experiences.

great service...great food!. we tried this place today after the reccomendation of a friend....glad we did!! we had a wonderful server named jackie, and the food was great. the wait for the food was not long at all which wasgoodhaving young children. if i am correct i did not see anything over $7.25 on the menu. i also love that the bottom of my reciept had a bible verse.....we will be returning here! the only change i would make is the hours of operation to be a bit longer.

top 5. everything to perfection, egg as i order, bacon some the best, hash brown potato crisp and velvet tender, the gravy out standing and the biscuits light and fluffy like no others. the service wasgoodand the best bang for the buck

simply awesome. i used to go to first watch for breakfast for years...one day about three weeks ago i urged my husband to stop at kate's kitchen. my girlfriends from work love this place. we had this omelet our server suggested, the sunrise i think it's called. my husband was looking for something filling. our server suggested the chicken fried chicken. my daughter had the kids pancake and ham. our son (1yr) was very fussy. another server was passing by and looked over our table and played with the kids a moment. a few seconds later the two servers showed up at our table with fresh fruit and crackers for the kids at the same time! talk about service...our servers name was pat , he was such a very nice man. and the big muscular guy was named jim or joe...anyway, today we went back in and this place was packed! we once again had pat as our server, he did not disappoint once again. the thing that was so surprising was the food was just asgoodas the first time even in all that chaos. the other man, jim/joe was running the cash register and he saw us in the crowd and came over and thanked us for coming back...he even remembered our daughters name and that she had told him she was going on a field trip, i was stunned...he told us the owner was back in the kitchen cooking, and how hard that man works to keep such a beautiful place like kate's running! another girl named soppua whan also stopped and said hi to the kids, and to top it all off the other owner joey, took our plates away in nothing flat...we spent less than $25 for our meals that will bring us back for a lifetime....you would not believe the smiles you get from the obviously professional staff...everyone should give this place a try...simply, awesome!!!!

great breakfast, great service. went here for brunch with a couple friends. kate's is great,goodhomemade food and really friendly service. the place was busy on a sunday morning so you might have to wait.

i got the breakfast banana split (basically, fruit, banana, yogurt, etc.), it was served up just like a banana split and full of fresh, ripe fruit. i also had a carrot cake muffin which the server made sure to grab me one right after i ordered since there were only 2 left! my friends got the caramel nut french toast (with apples instead of bananas) and they loved it.

kate's serves up wonderful food. i've been to kate's kitchen about eight times since they opened and i have tried several different items on their menu. they never disappoint. their food is terrific and their service is wonderful, too. obviously, the word has gotten around the northland that this is a great restaurant. you frequently have to wait a few minutes for a table because they're packed, but they're worth the wait. (this is always a telltale sign of agoodrestaurant: people will flock wherever there isgoodfood.)

gym? where?. kate's is located in a two level, very long strip shopping center built in to a ridge. the east side is the upper level facing north oak and that's where kate's is located. the only gym in that shopping center that i'm aware. and i'm in that shopping center at least once a week since 2001, is on the west side (bottom level), out of sight and out of smell, and separated by the access ramp.
that being said, i became aware of kate's by patronizing blockbuster. the food has beengoodalthough the ham portion of the ham n' eggs was small. since others have commented on small portions, they may want to increase the serviing size.

will try it again. not asgoodas i would have hoped but i'll give it another shot on a different day. didn't compare to the service/quality of first watch.
