can't wait to go back, again and again. my husband, 2year old and i atebreakfastat kate's kitchen this morning after dropping my daughter off at prek. this was our second time here, the first being for lunch. (which was the best lunch i've had in years!!! and i'm pregnant and hard to please.)
i ordered the chicken fried chicken with eggs, hubby got the burrito and my son ordered the pancake w/sausage. amazing!!! this was the bestbreakfastever. and after i finished my delightful chicken & eggs, i helped polish off my sons pancake he hadn't eaten.

this makes two great meals, with excellent customer service to boot.

wonderful experience. such a charming and cheerful atmosphere, awesome service, and an creative menu with affordable prices.
really i was quite surprised as this was no typicalbreakfastand lunch diner. the food was incredible and very original, not your same old bacon and eggs menu.
the place was clean, and the employees seem happy to serve you.
if you haven't eaten at kate's kitchen you should take a little time to treat yourself, i have no doubt once you have you feel as strongly as i do.

great food and service. we so needed this place north of the river. a clean and fresh atmosphere and always plesant help. the food is always fresh and presentation is always appetizing. we have eaten there many times and always enjoy our visit. never feel rushed even when you walk in at 1:30 pm being they close each day at 2. a must to visit for a greatbreakfastor lunch.

the food is delicious and their cinnamon rolls are the best part it's the bestbreakfastplace i've ever been to. their pancakes are really good especially with the berries.

i've had most of their menu, and everything is great. anytime family comes to town, they ask to go. awesome staff to boot

we were there at 830am on a sunday, no waiting and service was fast. breakfastwas amazing. good coffee, fresh eggs, bacon. the bisquits were big and fluffy. i ordered ronnie's french toast which was sour dough bread dipped in batter and grilled. delish. my only complaint is that it was cold in there which cooled down your meal too quickly.

good food!. the food, service, & atmosphere @ kate's kitchen is wonderful. going forbreakfastor lunch, everyone will find something that they enjoy. the staff actually makes eye contact with diners for more than a couple of seconds! (i've had some bad experiences...) they're friendly & willing to work with small changes in an order. it's a treat to eat at this charming restaurant.

wonderful spot forbreakfastor lunch. this is a gem right in my neighborhood in gladstone! wonderful food and excellent service! try the granola banana pancakes! i love their healthy choice menu as well-very tasty! they are very similar to first watch both in taste and price.

small servings. he ordered thebreakfastburrito and a side of corned beef hash. not good. either of them. tiny portions.
i ordered the scimeca's omelet. not too bad.

oh...both came with a side of hash browns. super tiny portions and tasted old.

like: coffee and water was on the table ready to go.

simply awesome. i used to go to first watch forbreakfastfor years...one day about three weeks ago i urged my husband to stop at kate's kitchen. my girlfriends from work love this place. we had this omelet our server suggested, the sunrise i think it's called. my husband was looking for something filling. our server suggested the chicken fried chicken. my daughter had the kids pancake and ham. our son (1yr) was very fussy. another server was passing by and looked over our table and played with the kids a moment. a few seconds later the two servers showed up at our table with fresh fruit and crackers for the kids at the same time! talk about service...our servers name was pat , he was such a very nice man. and the big muscular guy was named jim or joe...anyway, today we went back in and this place was packed! we once again had pat as our server, he did not disappoint once again. the thing that was so surprising was the food was just as good as the first time even in all that chaos. the other man, jim/joe was running the cash register and he saw us in the crowd and came over and thanked us for coming back...he even remembered our daughters name and that she had told him she was going on a field trip, i was stunned...he told us the owner was back in the kitchen cooking, and how hard that man works to keep such a beautiful place like kate's running! another girl named soppua whan also stopped and said hi to the kids, and to top it all off the other owner joey, took our plates away in nothing flat...we spent less than $25 for our meals that will bring us back for a lifetime....you would not believe the smiles you get from the obviously professional staff...everyone should give this place a try...simply, awesome!!!!

great breakfast, great service. went here for brunch with a couple friends. kate's is great, good homemade food and really friendly service. the place was busy on a sunday morning so you might have to wait.

i got thebreakfastbanana split (basically, fruit, banana, yogurt, etc.), it was served up just like a banana split and full of fresh, ripe fruit. i also had a carrot cake muffin which the server made sure to grab me one right after i ordered since there were only 2 left! my friends got the caramel nut french toast (with apples instead of bananas) and they loved it.

hawaiian sunset wrap. this is a wonderful wrap and recommend ordering it less the ranch dressing and add raspberry vinegarette on the side for dipping. i personally asked for strawberry and banana slices instead of mixed fruit, which like first watch, includes melon.

kate's kitchen~kcmo~n.oak. what a wonderfully consistant breakfast, brunch and luncheon place to eat! always expect terrific service, attitude and atmosphere at this nice restaurant in the northland of kansas city, missouri. my spouse and i eat here often and my dad brought me to this great place about three years ago when they first openned...on my birthday...i always eat there forbreakfastor lunch on my birthday as a tradition now! come early or just before closing, but not at 2:00, because that is when they close...suggestion that they stay open longer on sundays...always a line or wait to get in on sundays...even between 1;30 and 2:00! ~ karen v., our knickknacks, http://recipes.ourknickknacks.com

perfect. so much better than perkins! the service is great, there is an older gentlman that often serves us and he is so attentive. the food is always fresh and delicious. it's our newbreakfastand lunch spot.
