the place was veryyyyy authentic, not really comfortable to sit but the staff is extremely nice! the food was good, the only thing is it felt extremely overpriced... the noodles that says ‘jumbo’ was actually a normal size bowl, i would say a little smaller even. and the original is is tiny, one bite of noodles that’s all. it costed $10 and jumbo is priced around $18 mark, it just felt very deceptive. we only tried the noodle dishes so maybe the other items are bigger portioned.

it’s been a few times that i’ve visited do dee and i always ordered the do dee nursery. this time i thought i’d like to step up my game by ordering the level 1, since every time i ordered the nursery, i always ended up adding more chilli flakes by myself. but i underestimated the term “monster” as it was too spice for me though the spicy taste itself doesn’t over power the other flavours and it was still very tasty, i had to add some more sauces to make it a bit less spicy. over all, it’s very recommended to try the quail egg wrapped inside a dumpling skin (i forgot the name), it’s very popular and very nice

my go to thai noodle soup bar. so many different varieties of toppings and noodles. soup is nicely balanced of sweet, sour, salty, unami, and tangy. not to mention the affordable prices.

do dee is probably most known for its spicy noodles and man are they spicy 🥵 the noodles range from 0-7 levels of spiciness which you can choose from amongst a range of other thai dishes. i ordered two small bowls (one level 1 spice and one level 3 spice) and found the level 1 spice to be pleasant to eat where i could enjoy and taste all the flavours. the level 3 spice on the other hand was a good level of spicy for me during the initial bites (i like to think i’m quite good with spice) but towards the end i was struggling and my stomach did not feel good after. also ordered a side of pork skewers to accompany the noodles and would highly recommend this side - the pork was so tender and j00c3y 🤩🤩

best thai food in sydney! we had skewers, rice soup with ribs and the seafood palette.1
the sauce for pork skewers is everything and the grill is just right.
love it!

love their rice soup & boat noodles 😍

tbh, i find that this place is so asian bcs of the small portion, unlike other restaurants in sydney.
great pandan dipping sauce with fried bread (or they have soft bread option).

impressed with the valuable and delicious meals at do dee bondi junction, we visited their city brand near uts library. the dining atmosphere here is definitely an upgrade from the food court experience in bondi, but on the other side, the price and serving aren't that exciting. for example, the do dee tomyum noodles, from $5.90 for mini in bondi, here it's $7.50. for bigger serving, $10.50 goes up to $14.  the jumbo noodles size served here got me confused for the mini in bondi, i almost asked the waitress if she got the right one but then i looked at their sample bowls on the counter. i mean, fair enough, it has to be more expensive considering their location, but why would they cut the serving size too? oh, and for dinner, one person has to order more than $7.50 value of the meal.  it was alright to me, not in a hurry to come back.

so my friend told me this restaurant is really amazing,

she brought me here, she is from thailand. and the food is amazing. the noodles at first had a funny fishy taste but once i mixed it up it was amazing.

the noodles was thai spicy it had chucks of pork that was meant to be soft bone but there was hard bone in there to. but over all it was amazing 😉

we also had egg wrapped in some pastry and fried. it was amazing the egg inside was so soft. it’s a busy restaurant and highly recommend it!

but the best part of the entire platter was the som tum thai. i’ve never gotten the fuss about papaya salad before, but now i completely understand. each bite was refreshingly crunchy, the sweetness of the fruit offset by the tang of lime and fish sauce, with the occasional briny pop of school prawns. it was a medley of flavours and textures, and utterly addictive.

love some of the menu items that i’ve try by far.
this wasn’t the first that i went to this shop, several times in fact.
love the options that if you like chilli, you can decided the level of spiciness.
level 2 is makes me sweat on taking on tom yum on glass noodle boat soup!
cheap, affordable and tasty food, love it!

cheap food that is absolutely delicious? what more do i need to say?
the green curry is actually one of the best i've had in sydney, and the serving size is so so great. we also ordered the pad kee mao, which was spicy and tangy with lime. i love the traditional food that is served, but the only downside is honestly just the sheer number of people in the restaurant! it's always packed! we were on a table shared with 4 other couples which made for a lot of awkward eavesdropping (not ideal for a date!). service isn't perfect, mainly because of the sheer number of orders. they are a very whatever is ready first will go out first - doesn't matter who ordered first.
a post drinks dinner option for sure. a uni student meal place for sure. do yourself a favour and try out the food - you won't be sorry
