another thaiplacein chinatown. i have been here a couple of times and everytime theplaceis packed. one of the main reasons is because it's very cheap. they have a huge menu and some great meal options. i have tried curries, stir fry and the fried rice. i love the pineapple fried rice and the massaman curry. and my personal favorite is the mango sticky rice which they serve with three flavors of sticky rice. amazing value for money.

this is theplaceto come if you’re after a quick cheap and not so big serving feed. incredibly popular, you can go a small size noodle for $8 and served in 3 minutes. i got a jumbo serve for $15, which is about a bit”normal” noodle soup size elsewhere. the soup itself was spicy & tangy, but there’s a strong gamey taste on ball & sausage. the service was quick, but not necessarily friendly.

felt like spicy food so thought i’d give thisplacea try. i think the only great thing about thisplaceis the tom yum noodle soups. everything else was pretty mediocre - better off going to holy basil! got the seafood tom yum with glass noodles at level 7 spicy. this was pretty good! great hit of spice and had a nice sourness to the broth. my partner did not like the pork sausages. these had way too much lemon grass in them. everything else was pretty standard, nothing to highlight. only thing i did notice was how quickly all the food came out. makes me suspect that everything was prepared beforehand though. will only come back here for their spicy tom yum noodle soups. great hole in the wall for the noodle soups. abit on the pricey side though for a “small” bowl. the “jumbo” size is actually just a standard bowl of noodles.

the best thai tom yum noodles i’ve had in sydney. i’ve been coming here regularly for 3 years whenever i have the craving. theplaceis very busy and cramped, not the best comfort but the ambience adds to the experience. unfortunately i noticed how the serving has gotten smaller while price went up and service losing its warmth. on a quiet afternoon, i felt the difference in attitude from the waitress when she came to our table and when she went to a table behind ours, a caucasian. i’ve stopped coming here since then, instead i now go to the goulburn st branch because of the friendlier service.

i just finished work and so lazy to cook. my husband loved pork skewer (mu phing). we decide go to one of thai restaurant nearby from ourplacebecause we do not want to go farplacewhen is raining like today.
i have ordered several food:

kaew tod: this one is called keaw tod, the fried snack made from wonton pastry. inside always be pork , sausage or small egg. however, this restaurant only offer inside small eggs. when you eat with sweet chilli will be well combined.

kaew tod
2. moo ping: it is thai-style grilled pork on a skewer that is marinated in pounded coriander roots, peppers and garlics together and is then grilled over a charcoal bb and normally moo ping is served with sticky rice and nam chim chaeo. nam chim chaeo is a spicy sauce which complements grilled meat. you will be loved it.
moo ping
3.fish ball bomb and mixed ball: they are made with fish paste and boiled in a soupy broth, or deep fried. we have ordered fried fish ball and steam fish ball with sweet chilli.
fish ball bombmixed ball
4. doo dee noodle soup: there is several type of noodle soup at this lrestaurant u can choose from non spicy to monster which is really spicy. the soup base is tom yum soup and we have ordered two type of noodle soup and one is seafood noodle and the other is doo dee m16 and super mama ( seafood). the soup taste will tasty either one but depend on the people preference. i loved pork and fish ball soup rather than seafood. the reason is doo dee m16 giving more strong flavour.
doo dee m16do dee island
5. the last ordered is fried fish and it is called miang pla and it means “wrapped fish”. where is fish eat with rice noodle and wrap with some vegie such as lettuce, basil, coriander and sauce. the sauce is sweet dipping is combined between peanut and tamarind plus palm sugar. the price is reasonable and we take set menu either you can choose normal rice or sticky rice plus one drink.
miang pla
we enjoyed our lunch and feel so full. the atmosphere theplaceis not bad but normally, we need to have bigger sittingplacewith our order

sister branch of one we've tried in melbourne. the menu was pretty much the same, but i opted for the thai basil crispy pork belly on rice. yummy mix of flavours without overdoing it. i can see why thisplacecontinues to be popular.

theplacewas veryyyyy authentic, not really comfortable to sit but the staff is extremely nice! the food was good, the only thing is it felt extremely overpriced... the noodles that says ‘jumbo’ was actually a normal size bowl, i would say a little smaller even. and the original is is tiny, one bite of noodles that’s all. it costed $10 and jumbo is priced around $18 mark, it just felt very deceptive. we only tried the noodle dishes so maybe the other items are bigger portioned.

cheap food that is absolutely delicious? what more do i need to say?
the green curry is actually one of the best i've had in sydney, and the serving size is so so great. we also ordered the pad kee mao, which was spicy and tangy with lime. i love the traditional food that is served, but the only downside is honestly just the sheer number of people in the restaurant! it's always packed! we were on a table shared with 4 other couples which made for a lot of awkward eavesdropping (not ideal for a date!). service isn't perfect, mainly because of the sheer number of orders. they are a very whatever is ready first will go out first - doesn't matter who ordered first.
a post drinks dinner option for sure. a uni student mealplacefor sure. do yourself a favour and try out the food - you won't be sorry

it was my first time visited thisplaceand it was really good. first of all i had dinner on here and we should wait for about 20 mins to be seated. theplaceits not big so you should be patient for waiting to be seated. i’ve ordered do dee monster level 1, with couple of meatballs, pork ribs, crisps and the egg noodles. the broth of the noodles was really good, you can taste umami flavor on it. i do really love their broth and also their crisps adds on the crunchiness of the dish. i also ordered the fried bun with some of pandan sauce which is moist and crunch at the same time. their pandan sauce was not too sweet so it was balance.
their service was good, quite quick and most of all the price was affordable. it only cost 7.5 aud for small bowl of noodles which has a big portion to me.

happy eating!!
