chiken livers on open face !!!!!. i love this dish and the fresh catch of the day was awesome!!! the wait staff is professional and well educated to what the menu contains and always there to accommodate the customers. the head waitress or manager is so superbly energetic and proactive!!! on a scale of one to ten,......i will give her and the staff a 12!!!!

great lowcountry cuisine in a casual setting. we really enjoyed the shrimp n grits and the succotash. great flavor in each entree. also, the collard greens side was tasty. kids loved their good too.

overall, great service and food. convenient to people staying at wild dunes since its just a short drive.

at first it did not look bad. then we ordered
it went down hill from there on.
my whole flounder came out with sweet crap on it. waitress was told on the side if at all. they did replace it with flounder filet. it came out after fries got cold. waitress was standing at end of counter not waiting on tables while our tea glasses set empty. i was ask if i wanted tartar sauce it did not know it was going to have hot sauce. then paid $1.50 for 2 pieces of simple bread to go with my wife's meal. this was first and last time there!!!!

the entrance to the restaurant was crowded with people smoking cigarettes and using profanity. this behavior was displayed inside the restaurant as well(minus the smoking). no one working seemed to care. the food was good but the environment was such that i will not be back. look elsewhere for seafood.

great sunday breakfast. service was very good and the staff was very friendly. great place to stop in after a walk on the beach. i would highly recommend this place amy time.

great chicken wings! very enjoyable place that is not a chain restaurant. the staff is very friendly and it's an upbeat environment. been there a number of times and it's always a great time.

i’m not sure why they have less than 4 stars. they had the best food our entire trip. reservations are highly recommended. i can see why you could have a long wait as it is a very popular place. the staff was very nice and accommodating. the manager stopped each time we ate here and talked to us. again make those reservations and don’t wait.

extremely horrible customer service - from the server to the manager to the owner. i would wholeheartedly recommend staying away. the food was cold, the wait time long, and staff was not only unmotivated but overtly mean despite us being polite.

biscuit, fried chicken, fried egg, gravy, and home fries. pancakes and french toast are also very good. classic low country menu... great atmosphere.

excellent!! we loved the grit fries with gouda!! i could treat myself everyday to that! all the food was fabulous and in a friendly laid back environment. we'll be back before we leave!

without even a hello, the manager came over and started an argument, stating we had asked the server for two discounts (one we didn't even know existed, one advertised). we paid her with cash, and the server chased us out saying we hadn't paid because the manager hadn't given her the cash, stating "the register was in the bar".

**********called the owner, bobby, the next day to mention our experience. the man called back to my home an hour later and asked to speak with "the woman that called earlier" and launched into a tirade, yelling that i was a liar over and over. my husband grabbed the phone, and he started telling him he had married a liar. what??? completely inappropriate. owner wasn't even there that day, doesn't know me, and i didn't even ask for a refund or anything-- just mentioned the manager was aggressive.

then the owner goes to my facebook and google reviews and publicly calls me a liar there too under my name-- editing his comments repeatedly.
 

all we wanted was a peaceful birthday dinner for my mother. why the manager came over and cocked a nasty attitude, and then owner feels the need to call my home and family as well as call me a liar in public is beyond me.

this place is run as unprofessionally as their attitudes. never going back.

most importantly, the food was really good across the board. service was a little off, and it was odd that they said they had no draft beer ('our taps got removed'). cute place, should do well on iop.

we dined here with a party of six on the night non-residents were allowed on iop after hurricane matthew. seated promptly with a reservation, although the table felt a little cramped for six. i was prepared to settle for whatever was available, but we never heard "we're out of that". the specials we're excellent and few plates went back with uneaten food.

delicious food! excellent cocktails! excellent and attentive service! try the appetizers. they are all good. we loved the okra with aioli. we loved the fried green tomatoes. we had a cherry limeade cocktail that was delicious. yum!!
