great lowcountry cuisine in a casual setting. we really enjoyed the shrimp n grits and the succotash. great flavor in each entree. also, the collard greens side was tasty. kids loved theirgoodtoo.

overall, great service and food. convenient to people staying at wild dunes since its just a short drive.

the entrance to the restaurant was crowded with people smoking cigarettes and using profanity. this behavior was displayed inside the restaurant as well(minus the smoking). no one working seemed to care. the food wasgoodbut the environment was such that i will not be back. look elsewhere for seafood.

great sunday breakfast. service was verygoodand the staff was very friendly. great place to stop in after a walk on the beach. i would highly recommend this place amy time.

most importantly, the food was reallygoodacross the board. service was a little off, and it was odd that they said they had no draft beer ('our taps got removed'). cute place, should do well on iop.

i know we are the land of fried okra and fried green tomatoes....but you must come here! the okra was served with a squash puree and a homemade blueberry jam, made a tad more savory by adding some onion (i want his recipe).  for entrees i had the pan fried grouper, which was so very delicious. my husband had the blackened black drum, sadly, over cooked and tough - but, because everything else was so, so delicious we did not let it color our opinion. plus, my grouper piece was very large, he was happy to share. the green field beans were perfectly done. the sides were a tad too heavy on salt for mine and our companions taste buds - but again, we will come back!! we had out of town guests and courtney was so polite and patient with the wine selection for one of our guests. she was helpful with sides and both her, the restaurant and more importantly the chef were verygoodabout sides and accommodating different taste buds! gosh, i am ready for that meal again today!!!!

used to be a fave. was so excited to come back to acme - was a huge fan of their chips and salsa, wings,goodfood atgoodprices - now they've gotten snobby - not thegoodol hole on the wall they once were. i used to recommend them, but i'm taking them off my list. they've gone high brow and give me a break , they're still a bar!!!! they were understaffed and bartender, hostess, and servers gawked when we wanted to sit at the empty bar where there was no bartender - nowhere else to sit - empty tables to sit folks yet a 45 min wait - get over yourselves!!!

we sat at the bar and nick was our server. they had local beer on tap that was great. we ordered the crab stuffed flounder and yellow grouper(chef special). both were fresh and tasted great. collards and bacon cheddar grits were amazing.goodplace

new name. acme lowcountry kitchen is the perfect name for this restaurant. upon my last visit, the food was reallygoodand well presented. we especially like to go on thursday night when the lobster tails are on special. keep up thegoodwork.

good breakfast.goodbreakfast for the family and i. food was verygoodand service was good. a great alternative to the sea biscuit if it is packed. we ate her twice this past week and were satisfied with our meals. i wish we would have tried the lunch or dinner menu. hopefully we will our next trip to the iop.

this place was definitely a dive, a decent one. the service was slightly unfriendly and they all seemed preoccupied. however the food was great!goodcalamari, fried shrimp, quesadillas, and baja chicken salad. strange place with great food

great beach dining!. drove by acme a few times before looking up some reviews and deciding to go try it out. it doesn't look like much on the outside, but what a great place to eat! not a beach shack, but not claiming to be anything fancy. friendly staff andgoodprices. we started with some of their famous buffalo wings and i had shrimp tacos, both were delicious. my mom had the sirloin steak and it was probably one of the best steaks i've ever tasted for $16.99!! we don't have much longer in our vacation, but i'd love to go back!
