the entrance to the restaurant was crowded with people smoking cigarettes and using profanity. this behavior was displayed inside the restaurant as well(minus the smoking). no one working seemed to care. thefoodwas good but the environment was such that i will not be back. look elsewhere for seafood.

i’m not sure why they have less than 4 stars. they had the bestfoodour entire trip. reservations are highly recommended. i can see why you could have a long wait as it is a very popular place. the staff was very nice and accommodating. the manager stopped each time we ate here and talked to us. again make those reservations and don’t wait.

extremely horrible customer service - from the server to the manager to the owner. i would wholeheartedly recommend staying away. thefoodwas cold, the wait time long, and staff was not only unmotivated but overtly mean despite us being polite.

excellent!! we loved the grit fries with gouda!! i could treat myself everyday to that! all thefoodwas fabulous and in a friendly laid back environment. we'll be back before we leave!

most importantly, thefoodwas really good across the board. service was a little off, and it was odd that they said they had no draft beer ('our taps got removed'). cute place, should do well on iop.

great low country dinner. had to wait over an hour but was worth every minute. thefoodis fabulous. came here hoping we would get some authentic southern comfort food. we were not disappointed. we recommend this place to everyone. the executive chef came out to see if we liked thefoodand michele was a super server.

16 year old scheduling....?. been a few times now and thefoodis great, however the two 16yr girls that are scheduling should be fired. one night we were told a two hour wait and the place was dead, so my wife and i went to a bar nearby. when we returned place was still dead, even through dinner the restaurant was pretty empty to include the enclosed patio. i'm on the fence if i want to spend money on a dinning experience where i'm pissed the whole night. save your money plenty of other places....!

lowcountry shrimp and grits with fried pickles and jalepenos. absolutely the best shrimp and grits i have had and my first time having fried pickles and jalepenos which were amazing!
ended up adding the fried pickles and jalepenos to the shrimp and grits which were excellent!

we had to wait 30 minutes to get seated but i am sure it's because we went on a saturday night and it is obviously a popular place to eat.
once we were seated, the service was excellent and thefoodwas even better!
we got the fried oyster rockefeller for an appetizer and the grilled mahi fish tacos with collards (that had a slight sweet taste to them) and stone ground grits with a tomato bacon gravy on top.
i highly suggest you stop in for dinner if you are ever in the area!

used to be a fave. was so excited to come back to acme - was a huge fan of their chips and salsa, wings, goodfoodat good prices - now they've gotten snobby - not the good ol hole on the wall they once were. i used to recommend them, but i'm taking them off my list. they've gone high brow and give me a break , they're still a bar!!!! they were understaffed and bartender, hostess, and servers gawked when we wanted to sit at the empty bar where there was no bartender - nowhere else to sit - empty tables to sit folks yet a 45 min wait - get over yourselves!!!

if you like hootersfood....foodwas bad, our waitress was covered in hickies. the kalamari was underwhelming, with very small chunks of squid. it was as if long john silvers had made that dish. we ran. gross!

fantastic. this place is a must if you are near iop. the service there was excellent and thefoodwas top-notch. do yourself a favor and eat at least one meal at this establishment.

new name. acme lowcountry kitchen is the perfect name for this restaurant. upon my last visit, thefoodwas really good and well presented. we especially like to go on thursday night when the lobster tails are on special. keep up the good work.

good breakfast. good breakfast for the family and i.foodwas very good and service was good. a great alternative to the sea biscuit if it is packed. we ate her twice this past week and were satisfied with our meals. i wish we would have tried the lunch or dinner menu. hopefully we will our next trip to the iop.

very good. my family and i had dinner here on saturday night. goodfoodand good service.

horrible experience!!. this was the worst restaurant i have ever been to. went there with 2 friends, the restaurant wasn't very busy while we were there and when we walked in we asked the hostess if we could sit out on the deck, she goes to "check to see if there were tables" and she finally came back after a while and said no. so we asked if we could sit at the bar. when we sat down it took a while for someone to come over to us and when the girl came over to us she was rude and had a nasty attitude. they made us feel so uncomfortable. all we wanted to do was get a drink and have something to eat. so we ordered drinks and one of ours didn't have any alcohol in it, even though it was supposed to be a vodka and orange juice, it tasted like a orange & pineapple juice. thefoodwas also gross- coconut shrimp to be exact. our server never came by to check on us and when we were ready to pay we had to ask someone else to get our server because she was nowhere to be found. she takes our cards (the computer is about 10 feet from us) and we could see her at the computer. rather than do her job, she was talking to some man telling him multiple times how to pronounce charleston. about 5-10 minutes later she gives us our cards. i will never go back. ever.

great. the wait staff was great. very nice. the atmosphere was pretty chill. we ordered the bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers which were good, a tad on the spicy side for some people.
the entrees were the crab cakes and mahi mahi burrito. thefoodwe got was amazing. no complaints in that department. for 4 beers, an app, two entrees we spent about 70 bucks or so including tip. not sure if the meal was necassarily worth that, but it's isle of palms and we kinda just chucked it up to that.
