excellent!! we loved the grit fries with gouda!! i could treat myself everyday to that! all the food was fabulous and in a friendly laidbackenvironment. we'll bebackbefore we leave!

without even a hello, the manager came over and started an argument, stating we had asked the server for two discounts (one we didn't even know existed, one advertised). we paid her with cash, and the server chased us out saying we hadn't paid because the manager hadn't given her the cash, stating "the register was in the bar".

**********called the owner, bobby, the next day to mention our experience. the man calledbackto my home an hour later and asked to speak with "the woman that called earlier" and launched into a tirade, yelling that i was a liar over and over. my husband grabbed the phone, and he started telling him he had married a liar. what??? completely inappropriate. owner wasn't even there that day, doesn't know me, and i didn't even ask for a refund or anything-- just mentioned the manager was aggressive.

then the owner goes to my facebook and google reviews and publicly calls me a liar there too under my name-- editing his comments repeatedly.
 

all we wanted was a peaceful birthday dinner for my mother. why the manager came over and cocked a nasty attitude, and then owner feels the need to call my home and family as well as call me a liar in public is beyond me.

this place is run as unprofessionally as their attitudes. never going back.

we dined here with a party of six on the night non-residents were allowed on iop after hurricane matthew. seated promptly with a reservation, although the table felt a little cramped for six. i was prepared to settle for whatever was available, but we never heard "we're out of that". the specials we're excellent and few plates wentbackwith uneaten food.

we have eaten here for dinner, but this was our first time for breakfast. we did not think to try it, because there is a place almost next door know for their breakfast on the island. well, really glad we did since this was even better than the other place. i got the lowcountry rancheros, and my wife for the crab cake eggs benedict. both were phenomenal. can't wait to gobackand try more!

used to be a fave. was so excited to comebackto acme - was a huge fan of their chips and salsa, wings, good food at good prices - now they've gotten snobby - not the good ol hole on the wall they once were. i used to recommend them, but i'm taking them off my list. they've gone high brow and give me a break , they're still a bar!!!! they were understaffed and bartender, hostess, and servers gawked when we wanted to sit at the empty bar where there was no bartender - nowhere else to sit - empty tables to sit folks yet a 45 min wait - get over yourselves!!!

horrible experience!!. this was the worst restaurant i have ever been to. went there with 2 friends, the restaurant wasn't very busy while we were there and when we walked in we asked the hostess if we could sit out on the deck, she goes to "check to see if there were tables" and she finally camebackafter a while and said no. so we asked if we could sit at the bar. when we sat down it took a while for someone to come over to us and when the girl came over to us she was rude and had a nasty attitude. they made us feel so uncomfortable. all we wanted to do was get a drink and have something to eat. so we ordered drinks and one of ours didn't have any alcohol in it, even though it was supposed to be a vodka and orange juice, it tasted like a orange & pineapple juice. the food was also gross- coconut shrimp to be exact. our server never came by to check on us and when we were ready to pay we had to ask someone else to get our server because she was nowhere to be found. she takes our cards (the computer is about 10 feet from us) and we could see her at the computer. rather than do her job, she was talking to some man telling him multiple times how to pronounce charleston. about 5-10 minutes later she gives us our cards. i will never go back. ever.

awful!. where do i begin?! my party of three arrived for lunch on a weekday around 1 and after standing in the hallway for about 2 minutes finally a random server noticed us and told us it would be about a 5 minute wait. no problem! so we sat... and sat... and sat. finally another random lady came and asked if we had been helped. she sat us at an available table where we continued the long process of waiting. and believe me nothing was worth the wait. awful food... had the steak fajitas and it was like rubber. asked for more chips, was told they were in the fryer and they would be out asap... never arrived. servers seemed like they didn't even want to be there. never had my drink refilled. will not be goingbackor recommending this place to anyone.
