great sunday breakfast. service was very good and the staff was very friendly. greatplaceto stop in after a walk on the beach. i would highly recommend thisplaceamy time.

without even a hello, the manager came over and started an argument, stating we had asked the server for two discounts (one we didn't even know existed, one advertised). we paid her with cash, and the server chased us out saying we hadn't paid because the manager hadn't given her the cash, stating "the register was in the bar".

**********called the owner, bobby, the next day to mention our experience. the man called back to my home an hour later and asked to speak with "the woman that called earlier" and launched into a tirade, yelling that i was a liar over and over. my husband grabbed the phone, and he started telling him he had married a liar. what??? completely inappropriate. owner wasn't even there that day, doesn't know me, and i didn't even ask for a refund or anything-- just mentioned the manager was aggressive.

then the owner goes to my facebook and google reviews and publicly calls me a liar there too under my name-- editing his comments repeatedly.
 

all we wanted was a peaceful birthday dinner for my mother. why the manager came over and cocked a nasty attitude, and then owner feels the need to call my home and family as well as call me a liar in public is beyond me.

thisplaceis run as unprofessionally as their attitudes. never going back.

this is anotherplacei don't frequent, but went to on a date last year. i remember that experience being better than this time. last year, i had a breakfast burrito (which i think was a one-time special). it was delicious. this time, after not finding the burrito on the menu, i ordered biscuits and gravy with home fries. i grew up with homemade sausage gravy from the pigs on our farm cooked by a very southern grandmother. acme's gravy isn't bad, but not what i was hoping for. the mimosas made me forget about missing my grandma's cooking. we were there mid-week so i'm guessing it was the best "slow time" for them, but the maintenance lady was on the patio near us repairing the roof or something during our meal on their nice covered patio.

great low country dinner. had to wait over an hour but was worth every minute. the food is fabulous. came here hoping we would get some authentic southern comfort food. we were not disappointed. we recommend thisplaceto everyone. the executive chef came out to see if we liked the food and michele was a super server.

blackened grouper with side of collard greens. loved this, amazing service from michelle and visit from the chef. thisplacewill not disappoint.

amazing low country food!. delicious dinner, had the succotash, and collard greens amazing just bursting with flavors.

16 year old scheduling....?. been a few times now and the food is great, however the two 16yr girls that are scheduling should be fired. one night we were told a two hour wait and theplacewas dead, so my wife and i went to a bar nearby. when we returnedplacewas still dead, even through dinner the restaurant was pretty empty to include the enclosed patio. i'm on the fence if i want to spend money on a dinning experience where i'm pissed the whole night. save your money plenty of other places....!

we have eaten here for dinner, but this was our first time for breakfast. we did not think to try it, because there is aplacealmost next door know for their breakfast on the island. well, really glad we did since this was even better than the other place. i got the lowcountry rancheros, and my wife for the crab cake eggs benedict. both were phenomenal. can't wait to go back and try more!

great meal. fab calamari, crazy good. so friendly. kid friendly. great meal for sure!

lowcountry shrimp and grits with fried pickles and jalepenos. absolutely the best shrimp and grits i have had and my first time having fried pickles and jalepenos which were amazing!
ended up adding the fried pickles and jalepenos to the shrimp and grits which were excellent!

we had to wait 30 minutes to get seated but i am sure it's because we went on a saturday night and it is obviously a popularplaceto eat.
once we were seated, the service was excellent and the food was even better!
we got the fried oyster rockefeller for an appetizer and the grilled mahi fish tacos with collards (that had a slight sweet taste to them) and stone ground grits with a tomato bacon gravy on top.
i highly suggest you stop in for dinner if you are ever in the area!

won't go back. some co-workers and i went for lunch last week and omg i wish we hadn't. first of all it took almost 20 min to get drinks on the deck. i think the gal who was serving us forgot about us. when we finally got our food, my mahi tacos were cold and my friend jim's burger wasn't cooked right. the guacamole was ok, though, but that was about it. also, theplaceis filthy.

awful!. where do i begin?! my party of three arrived for lunch on a weekday around 1 and after standing in the hallway for about 2 minutes finally a random server noticed us and told us it would be about a 5 minute wait. no problem! so we sat... and sat... and sat. finally another random lady came and asked if we had been helped. she sat us at an available table where we continued the long process of waiting. and believe me nothing was worth the wait. awful food... had the steak fajitas and it was like rubber. asked for more chips, was told they were in the fryer and they would be out asap... never arrived. servers seemed like they didn't even want to be there. never had my drink refilled. will not be going back or recommending thisplaceto anyone.

thisplacewas definitely a dive, a decent one. the service was slightly unfriendly and they all seemed preoccupied. however the food was great! good calamari, fried shrimp, quesadillas, and baja chicken salad. strangeplacewith great food

great beach dining!. drove by acme a few times before looking up some reviews and deciding to go try it out. it doesn't look like much on the outside, but what a greatplaceto eat! not a beach shack, but not claiming to be anything fancy. friendly staff and good prices. we started with some of their famous buffalo wings and i had shrimp tacos, both were delicious. my mom had the sirloin steak and it was probably one of the best steaks i've ever tasted for $16.99!! we don't have much longer in our vacation, but i'd love to go back!
