tupelo honey is the perfect place to eat if you dress at urban outfitters and are prepared to over pay for home cooked style foods.

ohh the biscuits. my boyfriend and i had dinner at tupelo honey cafe on a friday night and it was a great experience. the wait was only about 40 minutes. the biscuit and homemade jam was fantastic! i had tortellini and my boyfriend had shrimp and grits. you could tell everything was super fresh. and for dessert we had brown butter pecan pie, the best i've ever had. a must visit in asheville! i can't wait to go back and try their breakfast!

disappointing. to say that the food and service at thc were disappointing would be an understatement. thc definitely must have good marketing staff, because the restaurant is certainly nothing special. many other restaurants in asheville are so much better!!

don't bother with thc. i expected more from tupelo honey. the food was so-so, definitely nothing special. overpriced for the quality. the servers kept busy, but there were obviously too few servers for the customers. tables weren't kept cleared. even biscuits were nothing special.

iconic southern food. i really enjoy this place every time. i've been 6 times. i've never been let down and always enjoyed the meal with either my wife, my friends, or co-workers. it's is a versatile atmosphere for entertaining. great food if you enjoy the southern style. be sure to try the seasonal selections, they are usually my favorite! decent beer selection, always something unique, but could be better. service has been excellent every time.

best tofu wings!. the tofu wings are amazing! the fried corn on the cob (with parmesan) was pretty good, as was the veggie burger. the mac&cheese was forgettable. overall, this was a great place. we ate there back to back nights while passing through town.

i was not too impressed with the breakfast menu, but, i was intrigued by the infamous sweet potatoe pancake they offer. the pancake is so huge it takes two to consume, but, my husband was up for the challenge. i ordered the tupelo omelet with onions, peppers, spinach, and cheddar. i was not very hungry to begin with because they brought out freshly baked biscuits with honey and preserves that we're very delicious. i ate some of the omlet, and then i decided to dig into the heavenly looking pancake. omg! yes! the pancake was all that and then some. i dare say this was the best pancake i have ever eaten and i have eaten pancakes at tons of restaurants. the aroma was great, taste was splendid and the texture was perfect. enough said. please try the sweet potatoe pancake at this place for breakfast it is amazing!! my kid's food looked awesome too ( fried chicken and biscuits and the country breakfast or something like that). touristy atmosphere(crowded all day) but great food.

i can't remember when i first heard about the tupelo honey cafe .  it's sort of a "trend" spot in charlotte since it's fairly new to the area, and i kept seeing comments on social media that the food is spectacular.  every time we have driven or walked by the restaurant, it is super duper crowded.  anyone who knows my husband knows that he is too fidgety to sit around and wait for a table for too long.  so we never could commit to going there.       the original location is in asheville, and when matt & i were in asheville a few weekends ago we thought - we have got to get to the charlotte location.  since we are typically awake early on the weekend anyway thanks to a certain doggy, we decided to just head there right when they opened for breakfast to avoid the crowds.   first things first:  coffee.       and then everyone starts out their meal with the signature biscuits and jam.  these were so good.  i could have just eaten a couple of these biscuits and calle

friendly staff, decent food. not my favorite place we tried in asheville, but the food was definitely fine. good biscuits with blueberry jam to start were nice. the beet salad was unique, and the cheesy cauliflower mash was good. tried the fried green tomato sandwich, but i wish i had just gotten the appetizer fgts or a side (without the peppers and onions, etc.). our server was very nice and helpful. there was certainly nothing wrong with this place, but it was by far not may favorite in asheville.

very good. stopped here for breakfast on my way out of town and was very surprised to not have to wait for a table! i didn't experience any of the loud music or attitudinal staff other reviewers have mentioned.

the biscuits were delicious, as was the rest of my meal, and i sampled my friend;s french toast which was also quite good. i will certainly be eating here again when i return to asheville.

after having visited the location in asheville i was disappointed. the service was great but the food average at best. the curry fried chicken was bland and slightly burned. the mac and cheese was great though.

meh. i was really excited about trying out this restaurant but was slightly let down. my cocktail was just ok. the gluten free pimento cheese dip had a bit too much mayo in it for my tastes, but i did like the gf toast squares that came with it. the blackened catfish was actually bettered than i had expected it to be. thankfully, it didn’t have a fishy taste after i cut off the back skin layer. my husband was a little disappointed in his nutty fried chicken. he was expecting a 1⁄4 of a chicken on the bone, but it was more like a chicken fried steak with a mild nutty taste. if he had imagined that was what he was going to order, then it would have been good, but the menu misrepresented the dish.
