ohh the biscuits. my boyfriend and i had dinner at tupelo honey cafe on a friday night and it was agreatexperience. the wait was only about 40 minutes. the biscuit and homemade jam was fantastic! i had tortellini and my boyfriend had shrimp and grits. you could tell everything was super fresh. and for dessert we had brown butter pecan pie, the best i've ever had. a must visit in asheville! i can't wait to go back and try their breakfast!

iconic southern food. i really enjoy this place every time. i've been 6 times. i've never been let down and always enjoyed the meal with either my wife, my friends, or co-workers. it's is a versatile atmosphere for entertaining.greatfood if you enjoy the southern style. be sure to try the seasonal selections, they are usually my favorite! decent beer selection, always something unique, but could be better. service has been excellent every time.

i was not too impressed with the breakfast menu, but, i was intrigued by the infamous sweet potatoe pancake they offer. the pancake is so huge it takes two to consume, but, my husband was up for the challenge. i ordered the tupelo omelet with onions, peppers, spinach, and cheddar. i was not very hungry to begin with because they brought out freshly baked biscuits with honey and preserves that we're very delicious. i ate some of the omlet, and then i decided to dig into the heavenly looking pancake. omg! yes! the pancake was all that and then some. i dare say this was the best pancake i have ever eaten and i have eaten pancakes at tons of restaurants. the aroma was great, taste was splendid and the texture was perfect. enough said. please try the sweet potatoe pancake at this place for breakfast it is amazing!! my kid's food looked awesome too ( fried chicken and biscuits and the country breakfast or something like that). touristy atmosphere(crowded all day) butgreatfood.

gone downhilll. i never thought this place was asgreatas others thought, but it was good. but now, it's not even that. everything is greasy. the greasiest: veggie melt. the last time i got it i couldn't even finish because of the grease. i really don't know why this place is popular.

good. we went to the thc south.greatatmosphere, good service. my husband like the pecan chicken, but said it was dry (it looked dry). it was served with a root vegetable mash which was, well, root vegetable mash. i had the omelet filled with pimiento cheese (photo attached). the eggs were overcooked and i surprisingly didn't like their pimiento cheese. the goat cheese grits were fantastic and the red eye gravy was good. my son had the bbq which was okay. mac and cheese was okay. my daughter had the shrimp & grits which was good. nothing exceptional except for the biscuits. the biscuits were excellent - light, fluffy and huge withgreatflavor. the blueberry preserves they were served with was very good. tasted like it was made with wild maine blueberries as opposed to local bb, but i didn't ask. we'd go back for the atmosphere, but would order different things for sure. definitely worth trying. my husband said the local organic beer he tried was good, too.
