disappointing. to say that the food andserviceat thc were disappointing would be an understatement. thc definitely must have good marketing staff, because the restaurant is certainly nothing special. many other restaurants in asheville are so much better!!

don't bother with thc. i expected more from tupelo honey. the food was so-so, definitely nothing special. overpriced for the quality. the servers kept busy, but there were obviously too few servers for the customers. tables weren't kept cleared. even biscuits were nothing special.

iconic southern food. i really enjoy this place every time. i've been 6 times. i've never been let down and always enjoyed the meal with either my wife, my friends, or co-workers. it's is a versatile atmosphere for entertaining. great food if you enjoy the southern style. be sure to try the seasonal selections, they are usually my favorite! decent beer selection, always something unique, but could be better.servicehas been excellent every time.

was there when it opened and love theserviceand food. you can't beat the food for the area, reminds me of a off the beaten path restaurant with amazing food. the craft beer selections is exceptional.

after having visited the location in asheville i was disappointed. theservicewas great but the food average at best. the curry fried chicken was bland and slightly burned. the mac and cheese was great though.

over rated!!. my family decided to eat here for mother's day. we had a late lunch, no wait. waitress had some type of chip on her shoulder from the start, but that's ok, i tip very well whenserviceis good, she got 10%. at our table of 8, the following was ordered....meatloaf, fried nut chicken, grilled chicken sandwich, tupelo burger. the chicken sandwich was edible, but no better than any fast food grilled chicken i have ever had. the meatloaf looked like cat food and didn't taste much better, my daughter thought the chicken was so -so. i honestly do not see what the hype is over this place!! yuck!!
on a side note, the biscuit was decent.

best in asheville. if you want great food, greatserviceat a wonderful price go to the tupelo honey cafe. it is wonderful!!

as a local i've eaten here a few times and the food was good. but all three times theservicewas so bad the meals were ruined. on the last visit we asked to speak to the manager and got a ho-hum response to the servers rudeness. would never go back and would never recommend to another.

food...fine....attitude poor. i fell in love with the description of the barbeque plate, but it had roasted corn on the cob. to avoid having to cut the corn from the cob at the table and have it flying onto other diners (i had just hours previously gotten dentures), i asked if they could cut it from the cob. at first i was told absolutely not! then when i explained the situation, i was told they would do it "just this once". what happened to customer courtesy? i will not eat there again, and will not recommend it to to the many tourists who come into my shop in biltmore village. there are many other equally excellent food restaurants in asheville where theserviceand attitudes paint a wonderful dining memory for their guests!

amazing.. i love this place. it's is pretty pricey, but you pay for what you get. the food is outstanding (i swear i could live on their biscuits and honey), and theserviceis good. great atmosphere as well.

theserviceis mediocre. the hostess sat us, that was the last contact we had with a staff member until i flagged down a server (10 minutes) to ask if we could move to a table that didn’t wobble. we moved and 10 minutes more when i asked another server if someone would please take our order.
the biscuits were the star of the night. served with honey as well as blueberry compote. the compote is very balanced.
fried green tomatoes were good. the goat cheese grits were kinda cold and a bit pasty. the goat cheese was a non existent in this dish. the coulis was flavorful but a bit thick.
fried chicken blt was very good. the chicken has a great crust, and it’s fried perfectly. however the side of pork belly collard greens were so salty you could not eat it. we asked for the mac & cheese as a replacement. it was typical mac & cheese. good flavor. honey roasted brussels w/ hominy. the flavor of honey was nonexistent and these brussels were not roasted (see my photo). they were kinda soft and undercooked at the same time. the overall flavor of the dish was bad. the hominy was the main odd flavor which dominated the almost flavorless brussels sprout.
i will definitely try this place again. i really liked the tone of the menu. and theservicecan only get better.

seem to be a lot of reviews aroundservicebut my experience there was great. we were waited on quickly, food came out fast and had no issues really. we got lunch and it was ok. not outstanding though. breakfast actually looked better than the lunch items we ordered.....so maybe next time. the bloody mary had a nice kick to it! the place is much bigger than i realized. has a bar and outside seating that i didn't even know was there until we left.

let me just say, theserviceon top of the food, was simply amazing. me and a friend had dinner there this evening, and were pleasantly surprised at how large the establishment is. we were seated immediately. our server was very friendly and provided excellent service. we had the shrimp tacos, and fried green tomatoes for appetizers. for our main dishes we had the shrimp and grits, and the scallops. those scallops, were nice and tender, the sauce the scallops, kale and grains lie so delicately on too, was the star of the show. it had a sweet yet tartness about it that hard to explain. our cocktail beverages were equally delightful! came wait to go back to try other options on the menu

amazing! had the special one night, fried currie chicken thighs. sat outside with the mrs. and friend, soaking in the square and its activities, enjoying some good local brew.servicewas spot on (there when you need, not when you didn't). desserts look great, but full!

we were walking around asheville without a clue of where to go. tupelo honey looked inviting so we stopped there. we were warmly greeted and showed to a table immediately. servers with tables around us seemed very attentive. ours was not, she as clearly distracted by another table. we started off with some small plates and a margarita. there was nothing special about the salted beet salad or the scallops. they weren't bad just bland. the margarita wasn't to my liking and so instead of finishing our meal order we decided to try a different place. a lot of people did seem to enjoy their meals. betweenserviceand small plates it wasn't for us.
