ah the good old post office hotel! what was once a place to get stabbed ten years back is now a trendy pub with an expensive restaurant tacked onto it.
i tried the pub side for dinner the other night, got me and my partner the big popper (tm). the nice little tm next to its, and the coburgers, name made the flavour and pretentiousness so much richer.
the big boring came on a house made bun, that's a plus, the bun was way too big and the wrong type for a burger, that's bad. there was plenty of meat, that's good, the meat was two dry balls like rissoles with out the tasty gravey, that's bad. the meat was seasoned, that's good, the seasoning was celery salt, that's horrible. celery salt as a seasoning for a burger? are you kidding me?! not only it's it stupid and taste horrrible but it was mixed in so poorly that it would come in clumps, i pointed it out to my partner straight away, she said i was being silly until she hit a huge block if it half way through.
it over took the flavour of anything else in the burger as celery salt tends to do. the chips were the last in the bag and teeny tiny so yeah. crap. but at least they've trade marked that crap so no one else will serve it!
