ordered for carry out and prepared quite fast. read reviews and must agree with the previous comments, grilled fish and grilled chicken tacos were delicious. flavorful meat combined with good toppings. can not say the same thing about the friedshrimpsandwich. average bun with bland tastingshrimpcoupled with cole slaw that just did not mesh well with the shrimp. overall, good food (with exception) and would eat here again.

excellent food, excellent price!. we are here vacationing, and we had stewby's for dinner tonight. it was delicious! i had the fish tacos, and my husband had theshrimpand fish dinner. the fish was fresh, the fries were not greasy, and the portions were big. we come to ft. walton every summer, and stewby's has certainly made our list of favorite restaurants in the area. if you're looking for fast, delicious seafood in a casual atmosphere at a great price, this is the place!

food was delicious. portions are generous and the price is right. very very casual atmosphere with no ambience. just great food! worth it and would go back again. i had theshrimpsandwich. it’s huge!

was doing some errands out in fort walton today and came across stewby’s. i got the grilledshrimptacos and they were so delicious!! great flavor and everything was extremely fresh! cannot wait to go back!!

amazing food. we had a party of 10 and tried pretty much everything.shrimptacos, amberjack fish, fried oysters, everything was good. the best hushpuppies. will definitely be going back

had the grilled amberjack with cole slaw and the seasoned fries. loved the grilled taste in the fish. liked the cole slaw but fries were a little cold. if i have to wait for the food then it should be hot.thats my only negative comment. the wife had grilledshrimpwhich were also very tasty as well. we will be back.

been 3 times now and i think it's better every time if that's possible. everything i've tried has been delicious! stopped by the drive thru on the way home to pensacola from destin recently to pick up dinner. the friedshrimp& hush puppies were eaten before we made it out of ft walton! the gumbo is some of the best i have ever had! worth the drive to get amazing seafood!

we went based on the reviews and were not let down. the cup of gumbo i had was very tasty and served piping hot. my wife really liked theshrimpand i enjoyed the platter (fish,shrimpand oysters). the food tastes really fresh and we would definitely go back. they will be opening a new location called scooters in navarre soon.

i've been to stewby's many times! it's my go to seafood place! way better than the big vacation spot seafood places! great prices, too! i've had their fried shrimp, grilledshrimpand fried oysters along with potato salad and okra! this place is by far one of my favorites!

i really liked theshrimptacos! husband had fried fish of the day and he is picky and didn't complain! i'm hoping to try the friedshrimpbefore we leave.

freshest seafood around!. great little place for seafood. so fresh it was swimming this morning and they are taking out of coolers and fileting it right before your eyes! prices are very reasonable. you won't find any pre-made frozen battered seafood here :)

freshest around!!. this was our first visit to stewby's after hearing recommendations. i had the friedshrimpdinner and my husband ordered the seafood platter (with oysters,shrimpand fish- today's was amberjack). breading on the seafood/fish was light delicious. as we ordered we could see in the clean kitchen as they cook took a fresh fish out of a cooler and then began to filet it for cooking. my husband said "that was probably swimming this morning"! all the staff are friendly and quick serving. a small restaurant so get there early and expect a beachy feel on the porch kind of dining. everything is cooked to order, fresh and delicious!

great food, decent prices. decided to try stewby`s after reading the reviews here on urban spoon. i was not disappointed. the name really describes it all. you eat at picnic tables on an enclosed porch that is air conditioned. the food was great though. the fish andshrimpwere fried perfectly. the fish was fresh, moist, flaky, with a thin golden brown coating of batter. theshrimpwere equally fresh and tender. the flavor of theshrimpwas great, as we don't get freshshrimplike that back home. the fried oysters were good too. this food was every bit as good as the food i had at dewey destins, but cost less, and the air conditioned porch was cooler than dewey`s humid, warm dining area (that's how it was when i went to dewey`s). like another reviewer said, get there early to get a table. we got there just after 6 on a friday evening, and almost all the tables were full.

awesome place for seafood that won't break the bank.. my wife and i were twisting about seafood, especially where to go. we read the reviews of every seafood restaurant in destin, and they all had at least 1 bad review in the past week. we finally broadened our horizons to look at the surrounding areas, and came upon stewby's. though it was a bit of a drive we made the trip and were rewarded with an awesome dining experience. i chose the seafood combo, my wife chose the fish. the combo was fried oysters,shrimpand a fish of my choice, i chose blackfin tuna. it was an amazing meal. my wife's fish plate was cooked to perfection. when we were done, and leaving the owner stew, inquired about our meals. this is how a restaurant should be ran. almost every place in destin is staffed by rude arrogant kids, and management obviously does not care about customer service. not stewby's. the staff was very friendly. we will be going back!

big taste in a little place. the outside makes you think it'll be nothing great, but pop some friedshrimpin your mouth, and it's enough to change your mind. great food!

want seafood? you found it. perhaps the best overall value for seafood in the fort walton beach area. eaten here over a dozen times and the quality of the food is always consistent. great choice for lunch or dinner, it gets busy though. quite frankly if you are new to the area or just visiting and want some seafood? start here, you won't be disappointed. my personal favorite is the friedshrimpand grits.
