ordered for carry out and prepared quite fast. read reviews and must agree with the previous comments, grilledfishand grilled chicken tacos were delicious. flavorful meat combined with good toppings. can not say the same thing about the fried shrimp sandwich. average bun with bland tasting shrimp coupled with cole slaw that just did not mesh well with the shrimp. overall, good food (with exception) and would eat here again.

first time to eat at stewby's today, may 21st. i had the grilled amberjack tacos and they were delicious! husband had grilled amberjack sandwich and he said it was the bestfishsandwich he has had in years. we were former fans of sam's oyster house and this hits the spot! not sure if former blogger who said the place is closed is a competitor, but this place is open and thriving! excellent!!!!

awesome oysters!. recently, my husband got a take out order here and i jhave to say the oysters were awesome! just juicy and expertly breaded and fried. we would eat here a lot more if they offered beer...as we like (cold) beer with our seafood. so quite often we go somewhere else so that we can sip a few beers and hang out and eat over a longer period of time. as it is, this is more of a stop-in/quick eat kind of place -- a really really really good drive thru. i just wish the atmosphere and adult drink menu reflected the quality of their food.

a perfect solid. there isn't anything fancy on the menu. nothing is unique or special, unless you've lived around here long enough to know places that serve extremely fresh seafood, simply but expertly prepared, at a very reasonable price and fast -- are indeed "unique and special"!!!

this is where the locals go for casual seafood if we aren't making it at home. (if our fishing trips have been unfruitful.) i've had everything on the menu, just about. it's all good. haven't had a single thing i didn't like, a lot.

some minor quibbles -- i wish the buns they used for the sandwiches could hold up to the moist coleslaw without going to mush after a few bites. maybe offering a po-boy roll for those who like a sturdier bite would be an option, while still appeasing the folks who prefer the standard roll. also, my mother doesn't like their friedfishbecause she likes crunch and is terribly afraid of any food being undercooked. (psst...don't eat the eggs at her house, or the pork chops, or the steak.) the friedfishhere is lightly battered and fried just until it's cooked through, tender and lightly crispy. it's difficult to get thicker pieces of freshfish*crunchy* because it's moist -- and i think it's kind of a crime to cook freshfishto that point anyway. but, offering a "thin crispy fried" option would really make some older folks happy!! in any case, we eat seafood two places: my house and stewby's.

in the area for a fishing trip and still wanted fishfor dinner. pulled into the parking lot, line was out into the parking lot waiting to get in. but saving grace. the is a drive up window 15 min had myfishplatter. oysters. shrimp. mahi. hush puppies great flavor and plenty . and any wheelchairs uses like myself. the ramp is in the back will go back for sure

all i can say is take my money! this place has the best seafood in fort walton period! i can't remember a single time i ate anything from here that didn't taste amazing. freshfishdaily and everything cooked to order and cooked to perfection. if you are traveling through fort walton do yourself a favor and stop here you won't be disappointed.

inconvenient for us (we live in destin) but, we finally tried this place for lunch. like an old floridafishcamp. very good! good size portions at a decent price. very fresh.

excellent food, excellent price!. we are here vacationing, and we had stewby's for dinner tonight. it was delicious! i had thefishtacos, and my husband had the shrimp andfishdinner. thefishwas fresh, the fries were not greasy, and the portions were big. we come to ft. walton every summer, and stewby's has certainly made our list of favorite restaurants in the area. if you're looking for fast, delicious seafood in a casual atmosphere at a great price, this is the place!

stewby's the place to eat. we love stewby's. the service is great and everyone is so friendly and helpful. the bathrooms are the cleanest of any restaurant in town. the deck is so great and the food is exceptional. you can always count on thefishtasting great and the coleslaw being the best. you won't be sorry if you go to stewby's. oh and prices are great and i'm a tight wod.

the bestfishsandwich i have ever had!!! their special sauce and coleslaw on the sandwich is a magic combination! it is also a very nice and clean restaurant, and the staff is so friendly! i go here every chance i get when i am in town! oh and very reasonable prices too!

wonderful, been in fort walton a week and easily the best food we have had. had thefishand shrimp, and if it wasn't fresh caught could have fooled me.

this place was super convenient.  i had thefishtacos, and they were great.  it has a drive through, and the wait was minimal.  i highly recommend this place when you want something quick and easy.

the locals love this place!  everything grilled is marinated and not overdone, as most do. seafood not overcooked!  the tacos, shrimp, oysters,fishand soft shell crab are all wonderful!  this is fresh local seafood.  there is a difference!   if  they  had a dining room with white cloths, it would not be better.  if casual (very) bugs you, go elsewhere.  it is clean, great seafood,  and we love it!  the staff is great as well! picnic tables inside is just fine.

food was amazing! i had friedfishwith fried onions and potato salad and my daughter had the grilled jumbo shrimp. i normally avoid friedfishbecause greasy batter usually overwhelms the fish, buts this was perfectly done. very friendly service and a great price point are just icing on the cake. if i could give stewby's 6 stars, i would! can't wait to go back and try thefishtacos!

went based on the reviews and was very happy.  stewby's had some of the bestfishtacos i've had in recent memory.  the pricing is very fair and the food is awesome.  i will definitely recommend stewby's and return for more deliciousfishtacos!
