great food. we are winter visitors in fort walton beach and read an article about stewby's. we've been there four times already and love the food...great, fresh, and reasonably priced.

a great find in ft walton! i was amazed how fresh and good all the food is here. i've had the grilled fish and shrimp tacos in addition to the fried shrimp samwich. i normally don't eat fried food, but their fried shrimp and french fries are so good! it's fried but it still tastes fresh, unlike other fried fish places. the grilled shrimp and fish tacos are awesome also. i've had a lot of fish tacos and was surprised that the best ones i've ever had came out of this little shack. i highly recommend this place to everyone!

my new favorite seafood shack. we've already eaten here three times, and i love their grilled fish dinner. my wife loves their shrimp dinner and won't consider ordering anything else, it's that good!

if you're looking for a fancy dinner with a high priced ambiance, this may not be for you. but if you want a good serving of fresh seafood at a moderate price, pull up a bench by the space heater and tear me off a paper towel, please.

not bad. i ate here for lunch a couple of weeks ago and the food wasn't bad. it didn't really knock my socks off, but it was good food and fresh. the person taking my order was pleasant and friendly.

i am a lifelong local, i know seafood, and i'm very picky about it. stewbys is fresh, delicious, and affordable. by far the best seafood in fort walton... you have to try the fish samwich!

great food. this place is awesome! and not expensive at all. great food! when i was youger i use to go to sam's and this brings back the great food that they had. i would definitely recommend this place to all my family and friends.

put this on your "must try" list.. i am a foodie, always on the prowl for great local roadfood, and this is it. i went about 3:30, after the crowd abated. the menu is on the wall, the dining area is an enclosed deck with wooden picnic tables, and it is spotlessly clean. the staff is very friendly and quick - the food is cooked to order, but it seemed like only 5 minutes and my meal was ready. i had the combination seafood basket so i could try the oysters, shrimp and fish, with coleslaw, corn muffin and fries. usually the fish is amberjack, but today they had scamp, too. the staff is very friendly, and the seafood is fresh off the docks. freshness makes a difference..in both texture and flavor. there was plenty to eat and the price is right. you may pay more elsewhere, but you won't get better seafood at the beach restaraunts. the line is out the door with the lunch crowd at noon, so go after 3:00 to get individual attention.

fresh & inexpensive. like the title says, this place provides fresh food and is inexpensive. i live right around the corner and have enjoyed their food since the day they opened (literally, 2nd or 3rd customer i think). you have a few dining options, either walk-up, drive-thru, or sit in their enclosed outdoor seating. this setup is meant to keep the costs down i'm guessing. i've had everything on the menu, but my favorites are the fish samwich and the cornbread muffins. i really like the coleslaw on the samwich, it works well. the fish is fresh, never frozen and you can tell compared to other places around town. on top of the great food the staff are very friendly so check them out!

stewby's is the new sam's. had the scamp samwich. it was fresh, fresh, fresh, and so good.

great food. first visit and we were in awe of the superb grilled fish tacos and gumbo! both were very flavorful and perfect for winter day sitting on their enclosed deck with heaters - what fun for florida winter lunch. super iced tea, we will be back again soon for lunch. parents owned sam's oyster house - 30 year icon on okaloosa island - many years ago, so he knows how to run a great tasting business.

an old standard returns!. glad to see this restauranteur back in the area again! i remember eating at sam's back in the mid to late 80's and the food today tasted just as good or better than it was in those days. i had the gumbo and shrimp samwich and both were excellent!
