kid friendly.. it’s nice to see a pub so welcoming for families. a games room and a simple kids menu made life a lot easier for us. the adults enjoyed theirmealsand my salmon was wonderful.

not our day!. 10 of us went for lunch to dromana bistro and wernt impressed. orders took over 30min to arrive with scantily servings. a parma is $25.50 with no real fanfare.
the part that really made me want to write this review is what we found in my wifes meal. she ordered a pub pie with peas and found a grub/caterpillar amongst the peas. the staff were very apologetic but the appetite was gone....
eye fillet was cooked to liking abd kidsmealswere the usual serving.
we won't be eating here again as we were then suspicious of all meals.

it was not clear where to order our food or wine and one staff member was rude and dismissive. then they forgot to send out one of ourmealsso one person ate after we had all finished. the food was very average. i will not be returning.

themealswere large, reasonably priced and more importantly enjoyed by the whole family. a great bistro to have a good value pub style lunch.

mediocre. tables and chairs were sticky, despite the fact we were the first people in for lunch. decor is very tired and ugly.
we had 4 different standard pub grubmealsand all were pretty greasy and gross. definitely won't be back.

party of six and we all enjoyed our meals.mealscame outquick and served at the same time (a personal annoyance of mine). price rangebetween 20-30 dollars and better than typical hotel meals.

a mixed bag. four of us ordered different meals: surf & turf (over cooked and boring), barramundi on salsa (dry, no coriander as promised and way too much onion), oxtail with pasta (a hit) and chicken tennessee, which arrived after everyone had almost finished. very reasonably priced and some of the othermealssounded interesting, so would try it again. kitchen needs some refining, hopefully by the next time we dine here.

well worth it. there were only two of us but themealswere fantastic. the salmon was surprisingly well cooked. didn't have to wait to long for our meals. we don't visit dromana often but i would recommend this place.

don't bother. 4 for lunch, 3 out of 4mealsnot as ordered, paid extra because i wanted veges and not chips and salad with my fatty over cooked steak, 2 others on our table meal very average, they were not overly busy so no excuse, won't ever bother again, staff ok apologetic but defensive of poor quality of food and service, much better value elsewhere

better than most. offering more than your standard pubmealsthis is a good pub. my partner and i had had a nice dinner that included duck in orange sauce. bothmealsarrived promptly and cooked very well.

worst restraunt i have ever been to. no greeting when we walked in. found our own table without help or acknowledgement from staff. couldn't find menus so read off the board as we lined up for ten minutes to order and pay. single chef was dragging his feet and looked bored in kitchen. watched him smell a tub of prawns and put them back under the bench. waited almost an hour for 4 meals. would have walked out but we had already paid. place was only 3/4 full and staff couldn't keep up. who doesn't put extra staff on over public holidays?
staff run off feet so not friendly.
friends cutlery was even bent out if shape.mealscame and were cold- chips and chicken room temperature. carbonara the worst i've had, didn't even finish and felt sick afterwards. turned other customers away as we were eating. disgusting!! never ever written a bad review in my life either!

one of the worst restaurants i've ever eaten in. first time i've felt the need to write a review & turn other potential customers about it. no service, and was not greeted all, had to find our own table & couldn't find menus. waited in a long queue to order (back of house staff moved at a glacial pace while understaffed wait staff tried to keep up). the restaurant wasn't even at full capacity. when food finally arrived (after waiting almost an hour & having to ask where it was!), 2 of the 4mealswere luke warm (both chicken meals), and 1 was so cold that it had to be returned. the carbonara tasted terrible and appeared to be microwaved. we also witnessed the chef sniffing the container of frozen seafood. all left feeling sick. don't do it!

very happy!. this is a big pub you don't realise this until you walk in. some areas are more modern than others though. our family were all happy with ourmealsand we didn't have to wait to long. very satisfied and likely to return.

of the 5mealswe ordered 3 had missing items that were only explained after we complained. the mixed grills had some of the worst sausages i've seen and the minute steaks were atrocious. the parmas were undercooked and soggy. never again.

spent $27 on chicken pocket which i think came with "rossilini" potatoes. these were just chopped up standard fries. was ok but nothing special. didnt really notice much camembert in the filling. allmealscame with salad or vegies. they had run out of rolls. we saw a staff member take a bite of pizza and mention to another staff member that it was actually good for a change. always a good sign ;) wines also a little disappointing. house wines were cheap at $6 glass but there was a sad lack of local wines. they do stock d'aranberg and marlborough reds so they do have good wines - i would have preferred to try a local one instead. would not go back.
