i've been toyushokencountless of times. i have also been to it's blood relative mendokoro and not once did they fail in delivering.

broth - 5/5
creamy, perfect consistency, perfect seasoning. it may seem much, all those things on top of the ramen, but they jive in perfect harmony. i swear.

noodles - 5/5
some people want their noodles thin. too bad. yushoken's noodles are thick (just the way i like them) and has the perfect bite to it.

chasu - 5/5
i used to order the shoyu ramen but found that i get bitin with the chasu. so my staple order is the off-menu super chasu. tender tender pork.

pic: super chasu and shoyu ramen, karai tokusei

other recommendations: gyoza, karaage, tantanmen

if you want to try their dipping ramen, go ahead. it won't disappoint! i love their karai tokusei!

the long line is worth the wait, everybody!! please try it! i was 24th in line before, and waited for 2 hours to eat. no regrets.

agh, thank the heavens this is located in the south!!

i highly recommend you try tantanmen if you’re into spicy food. if not, yushoken’s shoyu then. i totally love this combination because i love spicy food plus the meat in the shoyu is just cooked to perfection. it’s so tasty!
i hearyushokenhas the same owner as mendokoro in makati, but i actually find their rames different. for one, mendokoro’s had whatever is “malansa” equivalent of fish to pork, which i didn’t taste at all in yushoken’s ramen. i definitely enjoy ramen here inyushokenthan in mendokoro.
you just have to be patient though as the long queue never gets old to this ramen place. it’s worth the wait!

living in japan for 5 years and coming back in the philippines, ive been searching for a really good ramen place here. its nice havingyushokenin the south!! i ordered the shoyu tonkotsu ramen with aji tamago. id rate it 9/10 compared to the ramen that i always eat in japan! the soup was thick and very tasteful almost perfectly the same from the one in japan. *please note that there are hundreds of different ramen in japan!! depending on what city or region you are in. the chashu is grilled to perfection which i loooove so much!! thats a 10/10 for the chashu. the aji tamago was a bit too salty for my taste but it was cooked really well. the noodles are a 10/10 for me. the serving is just right. like a regular size serving in japan. price is just right.

we also ordered gyoza. it was good. 8/10.
we also tried the chahan. 8/10.

overall it was a really good dinner. it was worth the price. will surely come back here.

ps. this is my top1 ramen in the metro!! and ive tried tons of ramen places since i got back in 2016.

first time dining in ramenyushoken(molito, alabang). i ordered the shoyu ramen and it was superb!!! the pork is not your usual topping for a ramen but they made it work. i love the taste and texture. please branch out to the north!!

nothing beatsyushokenwhen it comes to ramen! remember to eat real quick tho cause when your ramen turns cold the broth's saltiness might overwhelm you. don forget to order gyoza! they have the best gyoza in the metro.

the ramen tastes good. out of all the ramen houses i ate at, this place has the firmest noodles and thickest broth. the chashu and the tamago, also, did not disappoint. the gyoza tastes like normal gyoza. my sister says it's better tho. the servers are also very nice.

4.5 because there are cheaper options. but if it's quality ramen you want, then mendokoro in makati andyushokenin alabang are the place to go. 😊

i think it's been established both by legit food critics and normal foodies alike thatyushokenserves one of the, if not the best, ramen in the metro. i've tried both their tantan-men and shoyu and i agree, although i'm just not a super fan of ramen in general. even their gyoza and karaage taste good. if you don't believe me, come toyushokenand see the long waiting line for yourself.

ramenyushokennever fails to to give me a great ramen experience.

despite the restaurant always being packed, the food and the service has been consistently great for me every time i visited the restaurant. the ramen is hearty and flavorful whether you're going for a clean light taste (shoyu ramen) or a spicier alternative (tantanmen ramen). for the perfect side, i'd recommend karaage and gyoza. there's no crazy twist to these dishes as they stay true to its traditional taste, yet there's something about it that just goes perfectly well with the creamy broth of the ramen options.

when it comes to the ambiance, everything is quite simple - nothing too glamorous about the restaurant. i've seen more exquisite looking ramen joints. but, its best not to be tricked by its exterior as its dishes is what really provides its wow factor.

also, always expect a long queue. i have visited on weekends and the wait can up to about 2 hours. but, if there's one thing i've learned when it comes to yushoken, it's that patience is key! the wait will be quite long but it's definitely worth it.

i'm from the south and i'll never tire from telling all my friends from the north thatyushokenis definitely the place to hit up when they're in the area. overall, a 10/10 dining experience from me!

i've been on a search for a ramen restaurant and at one point last year, i opted to go toyushokenbecause it's near from my home. i ordered their tantanmen and i'm proud to say that i go here to have a bowl almost every week. you can ask the server if you want the heat mild or how they normally serve it. at first, i was intimidated that it might be too spicy for me to eat that's why i opted to ask for a mild one, but on the second time i went to yushoken, i ordered their tantanmen just how they serve it. i order coca-cola to go along with my ramen and i really like the combination. i will keep coming back here.

food: 5/5
ambiance: 4/5
price: 4/5

shoyu
this is the best ramen in manila for me, just cause i’m really the type to love umami. i find it even better than ichiran in japan! the broth is so rich, the meat slab serving is generous enough, and the proportion of noodles to soup is just right. i recommend you order it with their gyoza, it’s a match made in heaven i tell you!!! you’ll just feel so full after but it’s hella worth the calories... and sodium lol

the price is alright; i’m still a student but i’d always be willing to spend that much for a bowl of goodness but i feel like it’s not the type you’d be willing to spend for everyday.

ambiance is also fine, nothing special but expect a line on meal time hours like lunch or dinner. but just a tip, yushokenand mendokoro are sister companies and serve the same stuff butyushokencan accommodate more people so it might be worth the drive to the south if you don’t want to wait too long.

a drift of creaminess within a bountiful chasm, serenity upon contact while picking up a gush of saltiness dancing in sesame paste and chili oil. ramenyushokenopens up a temple to the taste with a path to the soul. the ambience of the restaurant can only be described as peaceful with a loud sound from the never ending beating drums of passion from its workers. their ramen is truly second to none and any critic who has any doubt will fall on his own sword the moment one enters their gates. the line outside is not just for show but is a testament of approval for their craftsmanship. faces consume their bowls with strong intent and like a placid pond rarely a single conversational word can be heard from its regulars. i once had my doubts on the glory of this establishment but one taste from a spoon shattered the walls of what i thought was a boundary of culinary excellence. anyone who seeks to open new doors or break through their bubble of conceitedness must only ask for a single bowl of their fine ramen.

for the context of everyone concerned:

- i have a severe allergic reaction to crustaceans and any byproducts/seasonings/condiments that are derived from crustaceans.

- i had this order on wednesday, december 11, 2019 at around 12 p.m. with family.

- this was the only full meal i had that day.

- there are no indications on the menu of any form of allergy warnings nor the server informed us of any at the time.

we were a group of 8 family members including myself. we had ordered gyoza for each of us and six of us (including myself) had the secret menu item the super chashu while one had the tokusei tsukemen and another had the ebi tonkotsu ramen, which contains shrimp.

there may have been a case of cross contamination that happened in the kitchen as while i am typing this out i still have rashes on my body and currentlu my right eye is almost swollen shut which was definitely caused by a severe allergic reaction.

i would include photos of the allergic reaction, however it may be deemed inappropriate for this platform as this is a food review app.

if the management of ramenyushokencan read this, please inform the kitchen staff of this concern to prevent more cases of triggering allergy risks.
