ramen yushoken

one of the best ramen restaurants in the south. this is the place i'd go back to if i'm craving great-quality ramen.

weorderedtantanmen and shoyu, which were both delicious. tantanmen has a strong spicy peanut flavor. shoyu is equally good with smoky flavored pork slices.

serving for a ramen is just enough size for one person.

gyoza was soft, tasty and a must-try as well.

service in this branch is good.

ramens are abt p400 each. budget for 1 person is 500-700.

living in japan for 5 years and coming back in the philippines, ive been searching for a really good ramen place here. its nice having yushoken in the south!! iorderedthe shoyu tonkotsu ramen with aji tamago. id rate it 9/10 compared to the ramen that i always eat in japan! the soup was thick and very tasteful almost perfectly the same from the one in japan. *please note that there are hundreds of different ramen in japan!! depending on what city or region you are in. the chashu is grilled to perfection which i loooove so much!! thats a 10/10 for the chashu. the aji tamago was a bit too salty for my taste but it was cooked really well. the noodles are a 10/10 for me. the serving is just right. like a regular size serving in japan. price is just right.

we alsoorderedgyoza. it was good. 8/10.
we also tried the chahan. 8/10.

overall it was a really good dinner. it was worth the price. will surely come back here.

ps. this is my top1 ramen in the metro!! and ive tried tons of ramen places since i got back in 2016.

first time dining in ramen yushoken (molito, alabang). iorderedthe shoyu ramen and it was superb!!! the pork is not your usual topping for a ramen but they made it work. i love the taste and texture. please branch out to the north!!

came here on a weekday and the place was packed! you know how good and authentic this place is when majority of customers queing and dining are japanese,orderedthe shio ramen which is worth every dime, the broth is super rich, the noodles are done perfectly then topped with the best tasting chashu pork ever, everything is a symphony!

staffs are accomodating and well knowledgeable, must say it's worth the queue!

been traveling all the way from fairview to alabang for four times now just to get a taste of their ramen. my favorite is still the tantanmen and gyoza. perfect combination! this time around, we decided to go all out andorderedthe other sides including karaage, aji tamago and chashu. all taste divine! but i don’t suggest ordering them all at once with your ramen because you’ll definitely get tired of the taste like what happened to us, and ended up not finishing our bowl and had leftovers on the side dishes. i wish there’s an option to order just what you can finish, like 3pcs gyoza instead of 5, 2pcs karaage instead of 5, 1 slice of chashu instead of 3... #wishfulthinking
btw, i still don’t like the fact that they know how many people are waiting for their turn to be seated and they don’t seem to have any sense of urgency at all. all of the staff that we’ve observed seem to be pretty chill. i hope they improve on their service.

menu on zomato needs to be changed to the attached pic due to price increase. also they now serve 3pcs gyoza like in mendokoro, which is now just across them so waiting line became more tolerable

i've been on a search for a ramen restaurant and at one point last year, i opted to go to yushoken because it's near from my home. iorderedtheir tantanmen and i'm proud to say that i go here to have a bowl almost every week. you can ask the server if you want the heat mild or how they normally serve it. at first, i was intimidated that it might be too spicy for me to eat that's why i opted to ask for a mild one, but on the second time i went to yushoken, iorderedtheir tantanmen just how they serve it. i order coca-cola to go along with my ramen and i really like the combination. i will keep coming back here.

this is the first time we dined out after 4 months and we were impressed by how the restaurant implements health protocols. :) as for the food, the broth was so thick and tasty! weorderedshio and tantanmen. we loved their in-house chili paste to make the broth a little more spicy. the chashu (broiled pork belly) that came with the shio was so soft and tasty too. alsoorderedkaraage. while it was good, we were kind of full with the ramen already so maybe next time we’ll eat it first to appreciate better.

went for a ramen night!orderedshii with aji tamago, shotu maze soba, and gyoza. overall amazing dining experience, food was great though a bit too savory for my taste, crowd minds their own businesses, love the friendy staff too. though downside of the visit is that we were not able to pack out remaining food 💔

weorderedtheir “secret menu” which is the super chasu that is not included in their menu, you must order it personally and i must say, it is all worth it (money-wise and long lines). the broth was superb and delicious plus the super sized chasu that is so thick that it looks like you’re eating a steak. it is so tasty and i almost unable to finish it because the ramen is heavy. the only cons in what weorderedis that the noodles is thick and not that tasty unlike with other ramen house. our otherorderedfood was gyoza that i can say one of the best since the taste is more like authentic with more veggies than meat and the flavor is well balanced. we got their at around 10:45 am and there’s already a line, though, we’re number 2. but after a few minutes, the line gets longer. but, the waiting is all worth it! the place is decent, clean and well air-conditioned though it the restaurant is not that big. my advice is try to go there a little bit earlier and be ready with the long line in case. you can a-lot a budget of at least 1,500 php since the super chasu is like 500+ php. overall, we’ll surely go back here, one of the best ramen house in manila!

for the context of everyone concerned:

- i have a severe allergic reaction to crustaceans and any byproducts/seasonings/condiments that are derived from crustaceans.

- i had this order on wednesday, december 11, 2019 at around 12 p.m. with family.

- this was the only full meal i had that day.

- there are no indications on the menu of any form of allergy warnings nor the server informed us of any at the time.

we were a group of 8 family members including myself. we hadorderedgyoza for each of us and six of us (including myself) had the secret menu item the super chashu while one had the tokusei tsukemen and another had the ebi tonkotsu ramen, which contains shrimp.

there may have been a case of cross contamination that happened in the kitchen as while i am typing this out i still have rashes on my body and currentlu my right eye is almost swollen shut which was definitely caused by a severe allergic reaction.

i would include photos of the allergic reaction, however it may be deemed inappropriate for this platform as this is a food review app.

if the management of ramen yushoken can read this, please inform the kitchen staff of this concern to prevent more cases of triggering allergy risks.

the first time i went to yushoken, iorderedtheir classic ramen. it was by far the best ramen i have tasted. the broth was so rich, you'd actually need to eat or drink something cool or sweet to cut down the savoriness. i alsoorderedtheir chicken karage which was very tender and not overly-fried. definitely worth your money for the quality of food you get.

lining up here this season is crazy but the long wait is worth it. we had our names listed at 7:30pm and went inside at 8:45pm.  

we got our shio (the milky ramen that has a lighter taste) and shoyu (stronger flavor from black garlic bits, garlic oil and sesame seeds) sided with the aji tamago (flavorful eggs) to match with our ramen – with an order of gyoza. weorderedour gyoza late so it came minutes after we finished our ramen. we were so full but managed to savor it because there are no take outs allowed.

they have similar taste with mendokoro ramenba, which opened their branch in front of their resto, but its a different ambiance. yushoken is great for families having fellowship because they have a typical table setup of a restaurant and a bar for those who wants to see how they prepare the food.

highly recommended!! worth the money and time. budget is 500 per head and its best to get one ramen each. ❤

best ramen place by far!! iorderedthe miso soup which was around 440php (kinda forgot) but it was all worth every sip i could get from that creamy broth and let's not forget to mention how juicy and tender their pork cubes were on that pile with the ramen egg to top it all off. the place has no reservation list so you need to line up and trust me, it was worth it and the place has a no take-out policy either so don't over order and just enjoy your bowl of ramen ❤️

had lunch with the boss. if you’re a fan of authentic japanese ramen this place is the bomb!orderedshio and t’was soo good! super friendly staffs! you better know how to use chop sticks because they don’t give out forks or spoons there. their reason? they want to preserve the authenticity of eating authentic ramen with only just chop sticks. fair enough.

iorderedthe tantanmen one and it’s spicy and creamy with a lot of ground beef that makes it rich, plus the noodles are just perfect for its taste. their 5-piece karaage is commendable too because it’s big enough to fill the void in your stomach.
