one of the best ramen restaurants in the south. this is the place i'd go back to if i'm craving great-quality ramen.

we ordered tantanmen and shoyu, which were both delicious. tantanmen has a strong spicy peanut flavor.shoyuis equally good with smoky flavored pork slices.

serving for a ramen is just enough size for one person.

gyoza was soft, tasty and a must-try as well.

service in this branch is good.

ramens are abt p400 each. budget for 1 person is 500-700.

i've been to yushoken countless of times. i have also been to it's blood relative mendokoro and not once did they fail in delivering.

broth - 5/5
creamy, perfect consistency, perfect seasoning. it may seem much, all those things on top of the ramen, but they jive in perfect harmony. i swear.

noodles - 5/5
some people want their noodles thin. too bad. yushoken's noodles are thick (just the way i like them) and has the perfect bite to it.

chasu - 5/5
i used to order theshoyuramen but found that i get bitin with the chasu. so my staple order is the off-menu super chasu. tender tender pork.

pic: super chasu andshoyuramen, karai tokusei

other recommendations: gyoza, karaage, tantanmen

if you want to try their dipping ramen, go ahead. it won't disappoint! i love their karai tokusei!

the long line is worth the wait, everybody!! please try it! i was 24th in line before, and waited for 2 hours to eat. no regrets.

agh, thank the heavens this is located in the south!!

i highly recommend you try tantanmen if you’re into spicy food. if not, yushoken’sshoyuthen. i totally love this combination because i love spicy food plus the meat in theshoyuis just cooked to perfection. it’s so tasty!
i hear yushoken has the same owner as mendokoro in makati, but i actually find their rames different. for one, mendokoro’s had whatever is “malansa” equivalent of fish to pork, which i didn’t taste at all in yushoken’s ramen. i definitely enjoy ramen here in yushoken than in mendokoro.
you just have to be patient though as the long queue never gets old to this ramen place. it’s worth the wait!

living in japan for 5 years and coming back in the philippines, ive been searching for a really good ramen place here. its nice having yushoken in the south!! i ordered theshoyutonkotsu ramen with aji tamago. id rate it 9/10 compared to the ramen that i always eat in japan! the soup was thick and very tasteful almost perfectly the same from the one in japan. *please note that there are hundreds of different ramen in japan!! depending on what city or region you are in. the chashu is grilled to perfection which i loooove so much!! thats a 10/10 for the chashu. the aji tamago was a bit too salty for my taste but it was cooked really well. the noodles are a 10/10 for me. the serving is just right. like a regular size serving in japan. price is just right.

we also ordered gyoza. it was good. 8/10.
we also tried the chahan. 8/10.

overall it was a really good dinner. it was worth the price. will surely come back here.

ps. this is my top1 ramen in the metro!! and ive tried tons of ramen places since i got back in 2016.

first time dining in ramen yushoken (molito, alabang). i ordered theshoyuramen and it was superb!!! the pork is not your usual topping for a ramen but they made it work. i love the taste and texture. please branch out to the north!!

best ramen i’ve had so far! the line was pretty long but it sure was worth it. theirshoyuramen literally exceeded my expectations! especially the chashu, it was insanely good 👌🏻 10/10 willing to wait in line for an hour again just to try everything on their menu.

the summer heat wave didn't stop me from finally trying ramen yushoken. it has been highly recommended by a lot of my friends and i finally made the trip to try it.

it didn't disappoint.

i was initially disappointed when i saw the smaller serving as compared to other ramen places, but it more than made up with its taste and authenticity. you could really taste the broth. you just know that it took them hours just to get the broth.

i tried theshoyuand the pork was like butter. the tantanmen was also very good.

the karaage, while a bit on the salty side, was big and delicious as well. not going to take a star out of my rating because of the too much salt because taste is subjective and it came with a slice of lemon anyway.

by far the best ramen house in cebu. their ramen broth is is so rich and yummy. karaage is tender and juicy. gyoza is tasty. theshoyuramen is the bomb! i love their customer service. if you dont know how to use chopstick, bring your own eating utensil as they don’t provide spoon and fork. the only thing i hate is the waiting time before you get to dine because the place is always packed. but the food is oh-so worth the wait.

i think it's been established both by legit food critics and normal foodies alike that yushoken serves one of the, if not the best, ramen in the metro. i've tried both their tantan-men andshoyuand i agree, although i'm just not a super fan of ramen in general. even their gyoza and karaage taste good. if you don't believe me, come to yushoken and see the long waiting line for yourself.

excellent service and good food. i just find theshoyuramen a bit too salty. i don't really have a big appetite so i didn't finish the food but it tastes amazing. the pork in the ramen doesn't taste "bidli." the noodles are perfectly cooked and they don't taste starchy. i recommend you only pair this with water if you don't have a high sodium/salt tolerance. it's true, it's the best ramen house in cebu.

triedshoyuramen and i can say this is one of the best ramen i've tasted so far. broth is very rich, and the chashu which comes with it is really good. i also love their gyoza but for me no wow factor. overall 5 ⭐ though.

let's start with:

staff:
they have a really friendly staff that will greet you the moment you enter and leave the establishment, attentive and always there to cater your other needs.

place:
chill and relaxing :d

food:
we ordred theshoyuramen that has a very very rich soup (so for light eaters, be prepared 😂), karaage and gyoza that are rich in flavor aswell.

lining up here this season is crazy but the long wait is worth it. we had our names listed at 7:30pm and went inside at 8:45pm.

we got our shio (the milky ramen that has a lighter taste) andshoyu(stronger flavor from black garlic bits, garlic oil and sesame seeds) sided with the aji tamago (flavorful eggs) to match with our ramen – with an order of gyoza. we ordered our gyoza late so it came minutes after we finished our ramen. we were so full but managed to savor it because there are no take outs allowed.

they have similar taste with mendokoro ramenba, which opened their branch in front of their resto, but its a different ambiance. yushoken is great for families having fellowship because they have a typical table setup of a restaurant and a bar for those who wants to see how they prepare the food.

highly recommended!! worth the money and time. budget is 500 per head and its best to get one ramen each. ❤
