ramen yushoken

i will be in the minority here, but this is my least favoriteramenplace in the area. it's good, but it just doesn't inspire me. i also can't stand the fact that they discourage sharing, not everyone has the appetite of a cow and i don't like wasting food. it's always full so i guess that means something...

the broth is what sets this place apart from the otherramenplaces. it's thick (almost lomi-like) and flavorful and the balance between the noodles and veggies are just right to feed one hungry diner. i must admit when they served me the bowl i thought i needed to order 2 bowls but after finishing a bowl. i was so full i couldn't drive.
definitely worth every peso

one of the bestramenrestaurants in the south. this is the place i'd go back to if i'm craving great-quality ramen.

we ordered tantanmen and shoyu, which were both delicious. tantanmen has a strong spicy peanut flavor. shoyu is equally good with smoky flavored pork slices.

serving for aramenis just enough size for one person.

gyoza was soft, tasty and a must-try as well.

service in this branch is good.

ramens are abt p400 each. budget for 1 person is 500-700.

i've been to yushoken countless of times. i have also been to it's blood relative mendokoro and not once did they fail in delivering.

broth - 5/5
creamy, perfect consistency, perfect seasoning. it may seem much, all those things on top of the ramen, but they jive in perfect harmony. i swear.

noodles - 5/5
some people want their noodles thin. too bad. yushoken's noodles are thick (just the way i like them) and has the perfect bite to it.

chasu - 5/5
i used to order the shoyuramenbut found that i get bitin with the chasu. so my staple order is the off-menu super chasu. tender tender pork.

if you want to try their dipping ramen, go ahead. it won't disappoint! i love their karai tokusei!

the long line is worth the wait, everybody!! please try it! i was 24th in line before, and waited for 2 hours to eat. no regrets.

i highly recommend you try tantanmen if you’re into spicy food. if not, yushoken’s shoyu then. i totally love this combination because i love spicy food plus the meat in the shoyu is just cooked to perfection. it’s so tasty!
i hear yushoken has the same owner as mendokoro in makati, but i actually find their rames different. for one, mendokoro’s had whatever is “malansa” equivalent of fish to pork, which i didn’t taste at all in yushoken’s ramen. i definitely enjoyramenhere in yushoken than in mendokoro.
you just have to be patient though as the long queue never gets old to thisramenplace. it’s worth the wait!

living in japan for 5 years and coming back in the philippines, ive been searching for a really goodramenplace here. its nice having yushoken in the south!! i ordered the shoyu tonkotsuramenwith aji tamago. id rate it 9/10 compared to theramenthat i always eat in japan! the soup was thick and very tasteful almost perfectly the same from the one in japan. *please note that there are hundreds of differentramenin japan!! depending on what city or region you are in. the chashu is grilled to perfection which i loooove so much!! thats a 10/10 for the chashu. the aji tamago was a bit too salty for my taste but it was cooked really well. the noodles are a 10/10 for me. the serving is just right. like a regular size serving in japan. price is just right.

we also ordered gyoza. it was good. 8/10.
we also tried the chahan. 8/10.

overall it was a really good dinner. it was worth the price. will surely come back here.

ps. this is my top1ramenin the metro!! and ive tried tons oframenplaces since i got back in 2016.

first time dining inramenyushoken (molito, alabang). i ordered the shoyuramenand it was superb!!! the pork is not your usual topping for aramenbut they made it work. i love the taste and texture. please branch out to the north!!

this is the best shoyurameni have ever tasted. omg. seriously i wanna swim in the broth! will surely be back to try the other varieties! what a revelation!

i've knownramenjoint since 2015. i am a filipino expat so whenever i visit places - it has to give me an experience that i would love to recommend to friends and family. i have brought a number of family members and friends in this place - thanks to the recommendation of my brother who introduce me to yushoken. btw, they are very consistent from service to food. this small place never run out of customers and they will wait no matter how long it it take them to stay outside or inside to get a table. i am one of them.

the place looks amazing. love all the wood and contemporary lighting.

service was good. the staff was attentive and brought our orders immediately.

we got the shioramenwith aji tamago. it was so delicious! noodles were still al dente. meat had nice grill marks on it and was tender and so tasty. broth was piping hot and you can taste the flavor of the pork.

would definitely come back if i have a craving. bestramenin cebu that ive tasted so far!

as it was my first time, i relied on my gut on what to order. i decided on the misoramenwhich was very good. i can't wait to try the other ramens some other time. definitely the bestrameni have tried so far here in cebu.

came here on a weekday and the place was packed! you know how good and authentic this place is when majority of customers queing and dining are japanese, ordered the shioramenwhich is worth every dime, the broth is super rich, the noodles are done perfectly then topped with the best tasting chashu pork ever, everything is a symphony!

staffs are accomodating and well knowledgeable, must say it's worth the queue!

the service here is excellent. i like the place its attractable and i love the smell of theramenareperfectly cooked and the staffs are accommodating and nice. keep it upramenyushoken.

maybe expensive for aramenbut its the real deal on authentic ramen.. over all store ambiance is comfy and classy, plus they got wifi :) consistent store greetings and of course good food

need i say more? 😊 but seriously, hand me their tantanmen anytime, anyday. and if you're starving, why not go ahead and order their gyoza or karaage. you will never go wrong.
